PIO shots an hour or two late?

Post by wannababy1229 »

My DH and I will be traveling 2 hours away tomorrow forThanksgiving. We had been doing PIO shots at 9:00 pm. If because of holiday traffic we could get home past 9:00. Will that have a huge impact on what we are trying to achieve? Will it matter if it is late? We are planning to allow for extra travel time, without being rude by leaving after dinner, but we all know how awful holiday traffic can be. Any thoughts? Thanks

I would not think it would make that much of s difference since it will only be one time...I have been told I need to take mine in the AM...Every clinic is different...My thoughts that a few hours should not matter...Will be curious to see what others say.

I don't think it really matter to be 1 or 2 hours late. I was told by my doctor to have it everyday, but not on a fixed time. If I have my appointment that day, the shot will be given to me in the clinic, and that time is definitely not fixed.

Don't worry, enjoy you holiday!! :)

I asked my Dr about having my PIO shot at 2pm tomorrow instead of 7pm, as hubby would like a drink, and i won't let him drink if he has to give me a shot, and dr said that was fine as long as it was just a one off.

So you will be fine....
Wishing you lots of luck for a strong BFP...

I agree w/ the others, a few hours won't hurt. If you are worried, though, you can always pull over and do in the car. We have done that 3-4 times as the need has arisen...once was approached by a cop when we were in the back of a parking lot! Just part of the adventure....

Thanks ladies for your responses. We did get home a little late, but it was not as bad as I thought. I was at home sitting on our heating pad (already hot showered) at 10:10! And I didn't feel pressured thanks to you ladies......good luck to all!
