Braxton Hicks

Post by Zed2003 »

Hi girls,

I have a question for you all.

I'm 35 weeks and having had my son at 33, I'm feeling like a serious first timer at the moment. I have a question for you all about Braxton Hicks...

For the last 3 days or so, I've been having serious tightenings. VERY often, more or less when I change position! Now, I had them from early on with Sam, but don't remember them being like this and not so often.

Are they Braxton Hicks, or is it just the position of the baby do you think? Or is it something else...He is very to the front, but it tightens right across my tummy, so that makes me think it's BH. I've never been this far on before, so for all you ladies who have been this far - is this just what it's like as the baby gets bigger and has less space???

Did anyone else get this to this extent. Am thinking of phoning the midwife, but feel a bit daft.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi Zoe,

did you call your midwife? How's it going? I had some quite strong braxton hicks around 36 weeks and wondered if i was going into labour, but no!

hope you are well,
