I am pregnant after my first IVF treatment. I had 10 eggs retrieved, six fertilized, and only 4 were viable for transfer. The fourth was not good quality so we transferred three and got BFP this week. Our first BHCG was 149. We get a scan in a wek and a half to see how many. Good luck, I'll keep my fingers crossed!
Hi! I was also successful w/ my first IVF attempt. I had a high FSH and my age (37) was a factor so I wasn't given the greatest odds. I am now 22 weeks pregnant w/ twin boys. Don't give up it will happen!!!!
I too was successful with twins on my first IVF attempt. Yeah, stay positive, relax, don't think about it too much, but make sure you follow the doctor's instructions. Good luck sweetie!
Yeap! I got positive with my first IVF attempt. I transferred 3 embies with just OK quality and 1 poor quality. From my last scan, I had 4 beanies in me. (My signature shown triplets as I still couldn't believe to see this extra one from the last scan).
Think positive and relax!!

Congratulations to all that IVF worked for the first time. I went to talk to our doctor yesterday and we are getting everything set up. We have a better chance doing th ICSI with IVF because some of my husbands sperm are not the best quality, we just found out yesterday. I am so excited and more positive about all this. I have a good feeling. I will keep everyone posted.

Jenhope, I did ICSI too, since our onlyl problem was my husband's spermogram, and we got pregnant in our first IVF, we had 10 eggies, 7 fertilized, I had 2 transferred and were able to freeze 4, so we are very very happy about everything!!!!.
Hope it works for you too!!!
GOOD LUCK!!!!!

I too got pregnant on my first IVF. We had horrible luck for our first and only attempt! I have two children previously that were natural, but we tied my tubes. Six years later, I decided I rerally did want another little one. We went through all the tests and found out I had high FSH (10.4) and a blood clotting disorder. They gave us a 75% chance of getting pregnant. Did all the hormones and only retrieved 5 eggs. 3 died during cleaning, two fertilized, but only one divided. They called us in 36 hour the retrieval to do the transfer because they said it was best inside of me. Our chances of getting pregnant went do do 10-20%. We were devesated! I cried for 4 days straight and decided it just wasn't meant to be. Less than two weeks later, I tested positive! We were shocked and very excited! I am now 9 1/2 weeks pregnant with our one very strong embie. I have another u/s Friday before they will release me to my OB/GYN. Everything worked out great , I think it was God's plan all along.
My wife got a positive first time Prego with IVF , ICSI. We just found out last week so we are walking on eggshells. HCG count was an amazing high 390 which, in some cases, MIGHT suggest multible.
Well I am glad to here these positives, congratulations to you. I should start everything next week. I have to go through the Lupron cycle and then I will start getting everything for the ER. I can't wait. So exciting, I really have a good feeling. But I don't want to get the hopes up. But I can't help it. Thanks.
