Hi, I'm alittle late in joining, just recently found this site......I'm 6DP3DT....my beta is Tues.11/29. This is my first IVF..this has been an emotional rollercoaster that I think no one can really prepare you for....My whole life has revolved around IVF since June :)
At ER we got 13 eggs, 8 mature, 5 fertilized, all 5 were implanted as I'm 39ys old...., 3 grade A and 2 grade B.
I did HPT today, said neg. not beating myself up yet as I understood it might say that..I plan to test daily until beta...for me I have to be mentally prepared for whatever happens...Since starting this process I realize I don't handle bad news well!! :( So for me this gives me some control whatever the results....
As I didn't have any beanies to freeze this will be our and only IVF :(
Thanks for listening

Hi everyone! I hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving. Mom's gone, I can get back to business now. I will never catch up I'm sure. You all will have to give me a one liner on your current status, Or add yourself to the calendar; www. my.calendars.net/novgirls , so I can put you in the right spot on the list.

Hi lisa, welcome! You've found a great group of girls for support.

Tomorrow I do a baseline US and start stims again. I had to overnight my meds so I'll get them tomorrow. I'm paying more for meds this time because my RE is having me do a higher dose of menopur. Hope it makes a difference. DH and I have decided this may be our last try. We are now $25,000 deeper in debt from 2 IVF cycles and I don't think it's wise to get into financial trouble. If this cycle fails, it probably will be a couple years if we do decide to try again. I'll be closer to 40 so that concerns me, but I can't think about that now. My mom was telling me adoption is a likely option for us. She knows of a few needy families (including distant relatives) in the Philippines that probably would be willing to let their baby go because they already have 7 or 8 mouths to feed. We'll probably adopt even if we do concieve through IVF. I was adopted myself and I do understand the gift of adoption from a child's perspective.

Sarah, congrats on your BFP! thanks for thinking of me. I'm feeling drained but in fair spirits. It's now officially the christmas season, my favorite time of year, so that cheers me up. I'm optimistic again, but I think it's time to make visit to my acupucturist. Seems strange, but it seemed to help me stay happy. It's been a couple weeks since I've been there. I must be addicted.

Sorry for not doing more personals right now. I still have a few pages of back reading to do. Maybe tomorrow I'll catch up.

Thanks for all your wishes.

Ah Mia your post made me smile, now I understand the reindeer antlers. I think adoption is wonderful and like you think you can do it in tandem with ivf. My DH will not consider it, which makes me sad as I would have loved to have a large brood. But he is wonderful in so many other ways you cant have everything!
If accupuncture is your only vice -- go crazy - you might be forming a needle addiction  ( it is amazing how used you get to sticking yourself with needles).

Suzhan - Feeling for you- after three day I would be climbing walls

Hi Lisa - Welcome aboard! You are right not to beat yourself up with regards to the neg test, I also started testing 6dp3dt and had 2 negs before my pos kicked in on day 10! and even that is very very early and my clinic wouldn't take the pos result seriously until yesterday they have now said they think it is multiples! You had good grades! I would be thinking really positive if I was in your position it all looks likely, so fingers crossed!!! GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!

Hopeful - Thankyou for adding me to that BFP list! it is so mad to see my name there!!

There are so many of us now it is hard to keep up!

Elliecat - How you doing?

CheekyMonkey - Not long now honey I pray you have been stimming like mad and have so many big follies (but not too many that you cannot walk!)

I have a scan on the 14th Dec (which is my birthday and the 1yr Anniversary for opening my business) I am sooooooo excited I can hardly wait the embryologist reckons its def twins!! that would also collaberate with what my FIL said just before he passed away, that was kinda weird! I do not care as long as they are healthy.....

Good Luck ladies xxx

Lisa - I believe 1st am pee is when the body has not passed urine for at least 4 - 6 hours, that was hard for me as I was and still am weeing 3 - 4 times a night!!! I really would leave it for a few more days, you are still very early to test!!! it is so hard I know! but if you feel that a neg at this stage will get you down then don't do it to yourserlf it is so important that you stay positive at this stage.. :D and keep smiling!!!!

You are right my news is brill, we are all so chuffed!!! I have been where you are 3 times, the wait is terrible but so worth it when it finally comes.......

Holly - Well incase IK forget Happy Birthday for the 14th are you a typical saggi?

Pebbles - Thanks for the advice on pm...is that better?

Babbie dust to you all!!

Hello Girls,

Congratulations to all your girls who are blessed with BFPs. This is great news.. Hope you are celebrating.

For the girls who were not not as lucky this time, please don't give up. God gives good things to those who wait and I am sure there will be light at the end of the tunnel. Don't give up your wish to become a mum.. There are so many options.. more IVF or Adoption. I personally like both options. I would love to adopt even when I have children of my own.

Just to update you on my progress, I am on day 6 of my 2ww and it has been OK so far. I however had an urine infection and had to start on antibiotics. I have no obvious symptoms yet.. Not sure if it a good thing or bad.

Casy P & Cinders101, I see that you have the same PG test date as me.

Hopeful-in-LV, thanks for updating all the info. You are doing a great job.

Keep smiling girls.. Sending you loads of baby dust. :) :)

Love,
Sita

Lisa, welcome to our board!!!!, this is a great place to share everything, from good news to sad things, people here are amazing!!. As per your HPT, I had the same as Angellica, I started testing 7dp3dt and had negatives, and was kind of sad, but kept testing and it started being positive around 10dp3dt, so keep the faith!!, it is too early to tell now. First morning pee is supposed to be concentrated from not drinking all night long and having a full bladder, you'll notice that the pee is yellower than when you do it during the day (sorry if TMI  )

Mia, your post was really touching, I admire people who adopt children, I really do, I think it is such a gift to the world to do that, I would definetly do it given the case, we even talked about it with my DH (I guess everyone talks about it when we reach were we all are now), but don't be discouraged, we will all be right by you in this next cycle and it will work, I know that!!!!
As per the list, you are doing an amazing job!!, thanks again for that!!!. Suzhan is in the 2ww now, just to let you know since you asked us to tell you so you don't have to look back

Sita welcome to the 2ww!!!!!!

Angellica, can't wait for your scan, now I want to know if you have twins, or triplets maybe!!!!

As per me, anxious as always, so nothing changed much, LOL  , waiting for my 3rd HCG on Monday and if it is > 1500 then they will schedule my US which I am dying to see!!!!. Now I have a private question, what have your RE's told you about sex at the begining of pregnancy???, sorry for the question

GOOD LUCK TO EVERYBODY!!!!!!!!!!Image

hi angellica noticed that you were one of the few people from uk and wondered if the system after bfp was the same as me. i dont have to go for another test straight to scan on 7th dec. also using pessaries but only had four left and was told to finish them and then thats it. did yours say the same . what was your test results if you dont mind me asking.

Hi All,

Wow, the positives on this thread are really coming in now!

I am so pleased for all of you who have managed to get you BFP's and I wish you all a happy and healthy pregnancy!!

To those of you who have got BFN's my thoughts are with you and I hope that you are all able to take some time out for yourself so that you are soon ready to have another go at this crazy journey!!

I had my second scan & BW on friday and my follies have still not grown big enough but there are loads of them there, I don't really think that that is a good thing!! my hormone level has not shot up yet like it did the last time but they have now doubled my stimming dose for over the weekend and I have to go back on monday for another scan and BW!! I am hoping that I will be able to get these follies to grow over the weekend because if I don't I think I might be cancelled!!! I am so gutted but still clinging to a small glimmer of hope as always!!!!

Angellica - Thank you so much for your thoughts, I am so happy you got your BFP!!! I hope that I have managed to make these follies grow but I just don't feel positive!! I will let you know how I get on!! Take care and enjoy your pregnancy!!

Suzhan - I am on a low dose but this is because I over responded on 150mg the last time and so they halfed it but it seems that this is just too low, I will just have to wait till monday now and see what happens!!
I hope that you ER & ET went well, I have got my fingers crossed for a BFP for you!!!

Noodle & Cinders - I know that trying another clinic seems the best answer but because we get two attempts paid for by the NHS in the UK then I don't get a choice where we go! if our two attempts with them don't work then we will have to pay and then we will have the choice of where to go! and because we don't have alot of money we have to at least try it this way!! Thank you for both thinking of me, I have got my fingers crossed for both of you and am sending lot's of baby dust your way!!

Sassynlv - Thank you so much for not minding all my moaning on the board, this is what makes all of you women so wonderful!!
I am trying to stay positive at the moment but just seem to have that gut felling that it will be cancelled, but we will see!!!
I hope that all goes well for you stimming next week!! Sending lots of baby dust your way!

SarahV - Thanks for sending your thoughts my way, I am so happy for your BFP, how are you feeling? when is your first scan? you must be so thrilled!!

Nictor - Sorry to see that you are feeling down at the moment, I have not yet made it to the point you are at and so I don't know how you should be feeling, but I am thinking of you and sending lot's of baby dust your way and because you are not that far from where I live I am sure it will reach you!! Try and stay positive (difficult I know) and think of our shopping trip!!

Well I have been here ages now so I had better go and try and do some follie growing dances!!!!

Take Care

Wow!!! It is so great to see so many wonderful things happening! It lets you know all things are possible!

I have not done an hpt yet...and think I am just going to wait at this point. I go Monday am for bw, and will find out the news then!
My 2 week wait has nearly turned into a 3 week wait (19 days) since retrieval! My breast are so sore, and I think they've gotten larger. I hope that is a good sign.

Good luck to everyone, and congrats to all who have had bfp's.

jsm7502..Why has it been so long since your retrieval that you are getting blood work? Wow do you have the power. I would have tested by now. You need to do what you feel is best. Keep up the good work.

Hope for a BFP++++++
