My husband and I are about to start IVF and I'm excited but a bit frightened too. Would be nice to be able to talk to others who understand the whole thing a bit more.
My Husband had a vasectomy which was reversed but didn;t work and so we can't get pregnant!
Hi
Hope the site helps you i have had good advice and just joined few days ago. I was petrified when i started treatment but you do get there. Good luck with your treatment
Yeah this place knows alot about IVF so ask your questions no matter how minor or difficult .
I had 2 rounds of ivf both didn't work for me so now I'm on my 1st FET
(frozen embryo transfer). I was able to freeze 6 embryos the last IVF round so I now am in my 2week wait (2ww) for my PG test. You'll understand how frustrating that is in due time. Good luck and it's not that bad once you get the hang of it. It seems overwhelming at first but it will be part of your daily routine and will become 2nd nature to ya!
Hi Angela, Welcome. I just joined this little group yesterday and it's really nice to know that there are others going thru the same things that you are. It's amazing on how many people that is. Well I don't really know all the lingo here and abbreviations like many do, i'm slowly learning. But luvbabies is right, it's overwhelming at first but after you go thru it, it's 2nd nature. It's amazing all of the stuff that the dr's can do - and sometimes I think that this is should work everytime, but I guess you learn the hard way. I'm 43, remarried to a man who's 10 yrs younger and had no kids and we decided to try and have a baby. I have 2 teenagers from a previous marriage. Well I started trying to get pregnant about 3 yrs ago - so the #1 thing the dr tells me is I'm old in egg years!! Nice huh?! Anyway, we've done IUI about 3 times and just finished our 2nd IVF. Our first IVF was in April, I got pregnant but m/c in June. That was tough. This 2nd IVF was a frozen round for us and I should find out definitely today if it worked or not. We used donor eggs because mine are old and because they were younger eggs I really thought it would work. Anyway, you will definitely get use to the whole process. I wish you the best of luck! And it's nice to have this group of girls to talk to that are going thru the same thing!! Good luck to you and everyone here!!!
Hi Angela,
I start Lupron on Wed. I am first time IVF after tubal ligation. We have three kids but I am still really nervous. Keep me updated. I'll keep you in my prayers!
The best thing to do is take one day at a time. There is so much going on all at once, I found that if I took one day, and just concentrated on what I had to do, it went fast, and it kept me less stressed. This road is bumpy--filled with all kinds of surprises. Being able to chat here helps, it makes you feel like other people understand what crazy things your body and mind are going through! I also have a male factor, my husband had his prostate removed 8 years ago... so here we are! Wishing you the best of luck.
Keeping the faith!

Wow some one with the same name going through the same thing.
My DH had a reversal that didn't work so a couple of weeks ago they tried TESA (SUCCESS !!!) and now we are waiting to begin IVF early January. It is exciting and scary to finally be heading down this path. We have a specialist appointment on the 13th Dec - and hope to get start early January -
It is good to be able to chat to others how have been down this track already and others who are learning the ropes like us.
Just think next year at this time we could all have lovely new additions to our families.
