Help!Did HPT first urine this morning and got a "faint&

Post by rhaynes »

My blood test is tomorrow but I wanted to prepare myself "at home" because I will receive my results at work so I did a HPT this morning when I first woke and it was a "faint" positive. I did another one about an hour later (different kind) and it was negative. Anybody have any words of wisdom for me?

yes it could be too little in your sample later on for a HPT to pick up depends when your little one implanted it takes a few days for the levels of HCG to get high enough for a HPT to pick up if you had a +ive its usually a +ive do one in the morning too .....im so excited for you wishing you a very strong BFP tomorrow...

hiya all hpt are different
some need more hormone than others to give an acurate result
this is a mine field though and is prob the reason why its best not to test at home
i will cautiously say that we were told that there is no such thing as a false possitive so hopefully for you, and we got our fingers crossed for you, you will in fact turn out to be pregnant
but please beware wait till tommorrow get it done properly i would hate to give you false hope
wishing you loadsa luck richard charlie
let us know how you get on

Most probably you have a BFP, so congratulations on that!!!, but what I would guess happened is that your level of hormone is still low, so depending on the sensitivity of each HPT some will sense it and be faint positive (like the first one you did) and some others are less sensitive and need more hormone to be positive, and that is why the second one was negative. But the good thing is that tomorrow is your blood test, so you will soon know the truth!!!.
Please keep us posted!!!!
