nearly six weeks and not many symptoms...

Post by Claire »

Hi girls,

I'm six weeks on Wednesday and after having had a miscarriage last year, I'm totally paranoid that this will go the same way again. :(
I've done two tests, one 18dpt and another one 24dpt and they were both positive, but I keep expecting to start feeing really sick and 'pregnant'.
I've had cramping, quite bad last week but not too bad now and I feel a bit queasy but not exactly nauseous, mega hungry (that's why I think I'm queasy), loo trips have increased a bit and I have had a lot of heartburn.
My poor complexion is awful too! :? Boobs still sore, not as much though.
But I just expected to feel much worse than this. Has anyone sailed through these first few weeks and gone on to have healthy pregnancies?
Am I worrying too much?
Any advice would be great! :)

Claire: Congrats on your BFP! Many women who become pregnant have no early symptoms. I did not have any morning sickness at all, just some cramps and sore breasts. Relax and enjoy your BFP!

Claire,

Congratulations, but don't worry, you sound absolutley normal. Every pregnancy is different - even with the same woman. Be thankful you don't feel ill!!!! I had no 'traditional' pregnancy symtoms with either of mine - still feel gutted I had no cravings  LOL

Take care and enjoy!

Congrats on your BFP!!! I completely understand. I'm 21 wks and have not been sick at all. I have to keep reminding myself that this is real cause I haven't had any symptoms except for being tired and my stomach is starting to grow. Its hard not to be paranoid about something being wrong. Good luck!!!

Hi girls,

Thank you SO much for your replies, they've really settled my mind.
I'm just so scared of things going wrong. I'm six weeks today and I know it is still very early days. My symptoms are still quite subtle, but they are there.
I'm Just praying hard now!
Good luck to all of you with your pregnancies, and thanks again for putting me at ease.

Love Claire x
