Girls, one question, regarding the PIO shots, I am on my 4th week already of PIO shots, they don't hurt, but I am starting to have hard balls on top on my butt, not that you can see them, but I can feel them and they kind of hurt, does that happened to you too??, when does it go away???

It takes a long time to go away, I only got one and a friend of mine gave me that shot. It really helps to warm the area then massage after to dispurse the oil. I used to use a warm wash cloth, warm the area, get the shot then take a warm shower and massage the area.

Hope this helps,
Cowgirl

Hi ladies.

New to this thread, hope you don;t mind if I jump in :) ! I have my first scan on Friday...I will be 5w1d, I was kind of surprised they were doing it so early. But they said all my numbers looked really good! So---trying not to stress about it. Are you all just doing the PIO injections, or are you doing the suppositories too?

Vicky,

I did not ask why they were doing mine so early... it might even be their protocol, I don't know? I was thinking about calling them and finding out if this is just what they normally do...what did they tell you?

It is wierd to be over here.... :D

Welcome MBA. I was wondering when you would join us over here. I remember checking your testing thread about a hundred times that day waiting for your results! :-) I am so happy you are here and can't wait to hear all the good news after your scan!

God Blessed are us!

Thanks cowgirl!! I think that I am still in total shock! It just seems like a dream! I am very happy to be apart of this group...praying for a good 1st scan, I know I won't hear the heartbeat yet, but it will be nice to know that the sac is actually there :)

Question for you...how long does your clinic keep an eye on you until they release you to you OB? and how long for the PIO shot?

M'BA - Congratulations on your BFP and Welcome. My RE released me to my OB/GYN once they saw a heartbeat at about 7 weeks. My first scan was at 5w3d. My RE said that once my HCG reached 1500 it was there protocal to do a first scan. They also took me off of PIO at about 6 weeks because I was getting some pretty bad knots in my butt and they were afraid of infection so they switched me to the suppositories at 3x a day and I will stay on those until I hit 13 weeks.

Cowgirl - Good luck at your appointment tomorrow. What time are you scheduled to go in? I have a scan also tomorrow but I am not going until 4:00. AAHH!! I hate waiting. I tried to get them to push it up but no luck. If all goes well we are going to break the good news to the family this weekend.

Vicky - How are you feeling? I'm sorry you are having trouble with the PIO shots. The same thing happened to me and my Dr. took me off of them completely and now I am just on the suppositories. My butt feels much better but I really do not like the suppositories very much. I find them a little messy and I have been running home during my lunch hour every day to take them and it is quite a pain.

Cmoscar - How are you doing? What are you going to school for? You must be exhausted. Good luck Friday at your scan.

I am sorry if I have forgotten anyone. I better get back to work. Today has been a crazy day here. End of the year is always very busy.

All my love and prayers are with you all.

My clinic released me to OB at 7w2d. My first scan looked real good with size and a heart beat of 160. So they sent me off. I have been to the ER room once with spotting, everything was fine, at 10 weeks I was seen in OB for a same day appt. because of spotting and tomorrow will be my first OB checkup. I hope all goes well since I had a bout of spotting last night. :-( The HB has always been good and tomorrow should be no different! :-)

Nance,

I was wonderful to hear from you! I was wonderring if you were floating around. As far as my schooling, I am working towards my bachelor's degree in Accounting. Once I complete that, I will do my masters and then sit the CPA exam. My hope is to work from home mostly. Anyway, I am exhausted and often take a nap in the afternoon, but I love being busy. I hope all goes well during your appointment tomorrow. I amm excited about ours on Friday. Then, two weeks later, my new OB will do another one. We have had a glimpse of our little one every two weeks since the first exam! At least the boys have something tangible to hold. They posted thie u/s pics on their bulletin boards and are eagerly awaiting the next one. Write us as soon as you are finished!

Cowgirlclass,

You sound a little calmer. I know you will do fine! That little beanie is determined to stick!

M'BA,

I am glad you made it! As far as the heartbeat goes, you might be able to if they have very specialized u/s equipment, but otherwise there are other important factors to consider. The size of the sac, length of the fetal pole etc are all important indicators of the health of the embie. The first time you see it you will likely cry, I did.

Vicki,

I hope you are still doing well. It seems like we are all just baking along!

Good Luck All!

Good Morning Ladies,

I hope everyone is doing well today. Well, it is 7 hours until my OB appointment. I really hope that they do a scan or at least listen for the heartbeat. I am so nervous but am praying that everything will go well. If it does we are telling the folks this weekend. Part of me wishes that we could just keep this wonderful secret to ourselves but it is getting harder and harder not to tell them so we are going to.

Cmoscar - Wow! that is some schedule you have. I give you so much credit. I was going to school also but I decided not to go this semester during the IVF treatments because I figured I would miss too much and not be able to catch up. Your boys sound so cute. They must be so excited. Thank you for your words of support I will let you know how it goes once I get home.

Angellica - I am sorry to hear that your stomach is not being very cooperative these days. I sometimes get very bad gas pains in my upper stomach but I am not sure if that is the same as you. I read that being pregnant (and especially if you are on progesterone) really slows down your digestive tract and causes havoc on your stomach. I'm sure it is fine but you should check with your Dr. at your next appointment or call him/her if it gets any worse. I also read that leg cramps are very normal during pregnancy so I would try not to worry (I know that is not easy).

Cowgirl - Good Luck today at your appointment. What time are you going? I am sure everything will be fine. I am so jeallous (sorry can't spell) that you are so close to 12 weeks. I wish I was that far along.

M'Ba - How are you doing today? I hope you are well.

Take care everyone. All my best to you and your precious beannies.

Nance, good luck on your appointment today!!!, let us know how it went!!!

Angellica, about the stomach cramp, I have them but lower sometimes after eating, I think its gas, but who knows!!. I also have leg and feet cramps every so often, it is not a good feeling let me tell you, I turn and twirl my feet trying to get rid of the cramp, but sometimes they win :?

Cowgirl, good luck on your appointment too, let us know what did they say about the spotting.....sure it is nothing, mainly because it stopped....

Cmoscar, that's great that you are trying to finish your degree, hope you are not sleepy enough though

I am sooo anxious about my scan tomorrow, it seems so far away, I hope it was today!!!!!.

Hope everybody is doing ok

Hope everyone is doing well today!

I am anxious to get my exam today as I seem to be spotting in the evening frequently now, always the same amount, very little but still nerve racking none the less.

Vicki, tomorrow will be here before you know it. I know it is very difficult waiting for the first scan, I think it was tougher than the 2ww.

Nance, I can't wait to hear the news from your scan, I will be checking in to see how it goes.

I think Thook has a check up today also! :-)

Take care ladies,
Cowgirl
