IV#2 - how do you know if it's OHSS?

I'm on IVF#2, 1dp3dt - I've seen a lot of posts re: OHSS and really do not know what to look for - ovaries still sore from ER, sometimes sharp pain - and presumed the weight gain from the POIS, etc. Can anyone tell me what to look for w/OHSS?

Hi! I just had my retrieval on November 7th and ended up with OHSS. It became evident to me after a few days. I took the retrieval day off work and the following day but had to call in the rest of the week. I was just excessively sore, my belly was distended (more than with the meds), had heartburn, acid reflux and had a hard time urinating. It ended up that my ovaries were really big (3x normal size) and I had fluid pockets near the ovaries that were pushing on all my internal organs. My bladder and GI track got it the worst. It will become obvious to you in a few days after transfer. I had a mild form which I could live with but was unable to work that week and only did half days the following week (too sore and tired). I hope you don't have it, it isn't fun. Good luck!

My wife had her ret. just 3 weeks ago and she now has OHSS. Below is a link with some great information on what signs to look for and how your doctor /clinic can help. Although, your clinic too should know all of the signs and help you through the process.
