Sully, thanks for the kind words. I know you're probably getting anxious to get started. I wish you the best.

UPDATE - We had to resort to IUI today, follies didn't grow. I only had 2 large ones. So, now I'm officially in the 2ww. Like I told DH, I'm not trying to be pessimistic but I truly believe we can't get pg with IUI. DH's sperm are too weak and need help getting in the egg. Oh well, we'll see. Miracles do happen I suppose... :)

I hope each of you have a Happy and RELAXING Thanksgiving holiday.

Hey Nicki, hope you're having a great day. RE only measured (counted) 2 follies for my iui. He said everything looked good so we'll see. I'm doing much better with the 2ww this time compared to before. I'm not getting my hopes up AT ALL. I'm ready to start stimming again (IVF) in Jan if this fails. Also, I'm staying pretty busy this time, painting my fireplace...remodeling the den. Plus, preparing for Christmas has been a great help keeping my mind off of it. I think I've learned to have patience in the process... :) I'm excited to hear that you and DH are going to IVF. I truly believe you will be successful with it.

Sully, Holly - How are you gals doing?

Em- I'm just thrilled that you're having twins. What does your DH think about it? I would LOVE to have twins but every time I mention it to DH he freaks out

Hi girls I had 6 fert but poor quality they didnt tell me what grade, but put two back in.
Before the doctor said she would only put one back in because I was young and could try again, also there are more risks with twins. So I know the quality must be bad if they put two in!
Its funny how fast I forget how progesteron makes me feel.Last time I said I wouldnt try again till next year because I didnt want to feel like this again.Ha Ha.

Nicki

Good luck with your move over to IVF, may it bring you the result you so definitely deserve! When I did IVF first time we did mixture of IVF and ICSI cos of hubbys lsc, the "IVF" eggs didn't fertilise, the ICSI ones did but sadly BFN. We used hubbys sperm for the 3 ICSI attempts and have been told ICSI is only way to get pregnant using hubby, so we took the difficult decision to go down the donor route doing IUI. Time will tell if this is a good move

Holly - try and stay positive (ha ha easier said than done I know!) - there are lots of girls out there who were told their little embies were "poor quality" and have gone onto have twins! Keeping fingers crossed this is your time

Jovigal - hope the decorating has gone well??? How are you keeping?

Sorry for not being on much, my life this year has just been a rollercoaster. My grandad was diagosed with lung cancer 4 years ago and managed to fight it, however the dr's think it has come back in his throat :( so I've been spending alot of time with him.

Didn't mean to end the post on a low note, I am thinking of you all and can't wait till we all have our BFP's and little bundles of joy at the end

Sully, still pulling decorations out. I started out saying that I wasn't going to do much this year, but I'm decorating a second tree already. I love Christmas time! Sorry to hear about your grandad. I hope the docs are wrong and that he is ok.

I went to Dollar Tree today and purchased 5 hpts. The hcg from the injection should be out of my system by Thursday so I may start testing Friday. Then again, I may change my mind and just wait until next week. I tend to change my mind alot here lately! :) The hormones are killing my and my DH! No fun....

Holly, how are you holding up?

Hi

Congratulations Xrayem, Twins!! How wonderful for you...

Havent been signing in lately but thanks for asking. My last IUI failed and i couldnt do one this month as i was on holiday when my cycle started.

I know any kind of fertility treatment is stressful but im wondering if there is any point if you feel out of control emotionally? My mum thinks i should give any more treatments a miss until i get a hold of myself.

What do you all think? How do you cope?

Julie, I'm the same way, TOTALLY OUT OF CONTROL EMOTIONALLY. I find myself screaming at DH for no reason, acting out road rage and crying for no reason. I'm totally considering an antidepressant until I get pg. I can for sure relate to you. Hang in there!

Just popped in to see all your news.

Nicki - I am so pleased that you are trying IVF! 5 IUI's is to hard on your emotions. Feel confident that you are bringing in the big guns but remember the first IVF is usually diagnostic and will help identify any probs. I felt like a fraud that our 1st go worked so well, but my doc has suggested that even though my tubes are open, perhaps the hairs that project the egg down to the uterus may be faulty. This way you will be able to see if its an egg, implantation or something else problem.

Holly - well done on 6! Sorry that they aren't great quality, but I know of amny girls who have gotten their BFP's on questionable embryos. Good luck in your 2ww. Try to stay calm and remind yourself that its out of your control, you just have to trust your body.

Jovi - I am so sorry to hear that you responded so poorly to the stims. They will definately need to rethink your drugs. Don't panic though, they have lots of different combos and drugs that they can try. I am hoping that this IUI works for you though and you won't need it.

MrsGill - I don't think that anyone can go through what we have been through and stay sane. Taking all the time in the world may calm you down but as soon as you start a new cycle, those old emotions will return...unfortunately its the nature of the rollercoaster. I had a mantra which I repeated every day which I found helped..."I have done everything I can to make this work but now its out of my control. I will trust my body and will deal with whatever the outcome will be." It calmed me greatly. Do whatever you feel you need to. Take time if thats what you need. I found that when I had a month in between each cycle to have a break, I was more anxious as I thought I was wasting time.

Good luck to you all.
