Suzhan: I know, isn't it nice working and not being on bedrest!!!?? Can progresterone really cause all these symptoms?? My boobs are really hurting today and I am a little crampy. I just thought that since we started progesterone last Monday, symptoms would have showed up then versus just showing up now?? I might cheat Sunday and take a HPT. Are you going to test early????

I had my 2nd beta today and it was 6940 so it had more than doubled. We are scheduled for our 1st ultrasound Dec. 11.
I have been trying so hard not to get too excited because it's still so early, but it's hard-and I am starting to get excited.

Cinders101--Remember if you do cheat and take an hpt that a negative does not mean the end of the world. My doctor made sure to stress to me that hpts only pick up the beta hcg when it's around 30-40. You are considered pg if it's above 6! When I went in to do my first beta on Tuesday, they had me do a urine test while I was waiting and the doctor claimed she could see the pink line but she was the only one. Then I came back positive with 10. HPT are evil, so beware!!!!

Sarah - I'm so sorry for your news, I had truly hoped your numbers would improve. I completely understand your desire to take some time out - enjoy your break and hope to see you back when you're ready.
Cindy - Sometimes I think I'm literally losing my marbles over this....I'm much too obsessed with every cramp and kink. My bb's still seem large, but they're really not sore, so I don't know what to make of it. I'm not cramping, but I get these wierd tugging or pulling 'pains' in my lower abdomen sometimes when I stand up or move it certain ways. I feel like I should remember what it all means, but in all honesty, I don't. DH reminded me that when he drove me to the first beta in our bfp cycle, I was convinced it hadn't worked because I 'didn't feel anything differently'. He said I didn't get the real sore bb's until about 1 week later, and I think he's right. But, hard, sore bb's was definitely a symptom, so if you've already got that, I'd say it's a good sign. I've been thinking about the hpt, but am debating because of how I'll feel if it's not positive. I think it's still a day or so too soon, maybe Fri or Sat. I still haven't even made appointments for the beta's. I hate that they draw it and don't process it until they get the second one on Monday.
Cheeky - another 'air brained' example today - walked out with only one earing on and spent the day (apparently) looking like a pirate....lovely that nobody told me until the afternoon! Hope the follie cheer is now in full force! I do think acupuncture is good for pre/post ET. The scientific studies really have only been focused on pre/post ET and show definite improvement with proper acu before and after ET. The TCM doctors also insist that their impact can even be greater when treatment starts a couple of months in advance.

Suzhan: That is so funny about your earrings. I always tell people when they have something in their teeth, etc. etc. I know how you feel I'm analyzing a bit. Do you think we could test already on Fri or Sat?? I was thinking Sun AM only because I didn't want to get the call at work and be upset..so I figured I'd rather deal on Sunday. Do you think our clinic really doesn't run it until MOnday or maybe they do run it and just don't tell us until Mon? I made my appts and they are making me come in at 7AM on Saturday. I asked if I could come it at 10AM (as I'd like to sleep in a little) and she said no because it has to be done early. So, I was thinking that maybe they do run it, but just don't tell you? I'm starting to wonder if my boob issue is from the progesterone. I read on line that it closely mimics preg symptoms..what do you think?

Hi all just got back from scan and everything is fine. We saw a picture of our little blob and its lovely. I can finally start to feel excited. We have another scan on 21st Dec to see the heart beat so probably lots of worries until then but hopefully a nice christmas present.
