Hi all!
My name is Gila,an ex-South African Turners' Syndrome patient living
in Israel. I am 33 years old and am married with adorable twins, boy and girl of 2.5
years old (through egg donation and IVF etc..) Some of you may remember me from this board about 3 years ago.
The truth is that I thought I was dealing well with Turners until this
year .... when friends and family around me had babies this year, and
we just don't have the money to go through it again and support more
kids, even though I'd love to! (My husband doesn't feel that either of
us would be able to cope with possibly another set of twins at the
moment, but that is a separate issue.) I just feel so sad, lonely and
left out when others tell me they are expecting again and well,
nothing to report on my side. Even though I'm tremendously grateful
for what I have and count my blessings daily, it doesn't ease the pain.
Just was wondering if anyone had experienced the same feelings or
anyone's comments, advice etc. on the topic.
Thanks and looking forward to chatting with you all!
Love
Gila
Hi Gila
I am not in your situation but just wanted to say I do remember you from when you were last here and I remember seeing pictures of your beautiful twins. You were one of the first people I 'knew' who used donor eggs and you answered some questions for me, so thankyou. Whether we have children or not, all of us here sympathise with the feelings you describe so I'm sure you will find loads of people to talk to again.
Take care,
Love
Kat xx

Hi
I am due to start my second (and final) donor egg cycle in the Spring so keeping everything crossed. We weren't going to do another one after we lost our baby very early on in the pregnancy last time, but we have decided to give it one last try. Maybe this time we will be lucky...
