Question to those who transferend 2 embryos

Hi, I am 26, and will be doing an IVF/ICSI cycle int he next few weeks. Since I am young, they suggest we implant 2 embryos. My question is, how many of you who implanted 2 got pregnant with twins? We are trying to see if we really should be prepared for twins if our cycle is successful. Thanks!
me- 26, Dh- 27

TTC over a year

Me- annovulation
DH- congenital absence of the vas defrens (azoopermia)

1st cycle IVF/ICSI
Has 2 embies put back in 1/20
Beta- 60 on 1/30 (10p3dt)

Bonita23, I am 29, and I also got 2 embryos implanted and did ICSI, I have my first scan tomorrow so I don't know yet if I have twins or not, but what I can tell you is that as far as I know only 20% or so of the people who have 2 implanted get pregnant with twins. I let you know tomorrow if I have twins or not :wink:

I am 29, transferred 2 and am pregnant with twins! (Day 5 embryos)

I am 37 years old and had two day 5 blastocysts implanted for transfer. I am now pregnant w/ twin boys!
1st IVF July 2006 BFP!!!!

Bonita,

I had two 5day blasts transferred and at my first scan at 5w3d we saw two sacs but at my next scan a week and a few days later there was only one sac with a strong heartbeat (and still going strong thank God!).

Hi, im 23 . i had my 1st attempt at icsi in june. We had 2 embryos put back and they turned into two littlle girls. yes it worked first time :!: and yes TWINS :!: :!: we feel so blessed :D

I was 29 at the time of my IVF and had 2, 3 day embies transferred and 1 little girl implanted.

i've always at age (27-30) had two 5day embies put back and each time it worked i had 1 baby, both boys

I was 26 when I had 2 embies put back (I am now 27) and my twins are now nearly 8 months old

Thank you all for responding!!! Congratulations to you all. It is so nice to hear of success stories. It seems as if there is a good chance of having twins!!! A big part of us wants twins, because we want 2 kids and really don't want to have to go through this again. And of course, there is the other part where, we have never raised one child and to have two at the same time seems a little scary, but I am sure it is something we will adapt to. We would be happy for any miracle.

Vicky, I can't wait to hear if there are two buns in the oven, please keep us updated!

I just had the scan, there is only one beanie, we were kind of wishing there were two, but we are thrilled anyway!!!
