second attempt-IVF

Has anyone success on the second or third attempt ?

Hi Shanty, I can tell you that our doctotor mentioned that when we started, a large portion of his clients gained success in the second attempt for various reasons.

We were blessed with a BFP on our 2nd attempt. We had afew discouraging things happen to us this cycle and yet and still it worked for us. Good luck and keep the faith!

Sure--I was put on a microflare protocal for my 2nd attempt. It was the hope that I would produce eggs in the double digits. My last cycle I only got 9. The new protocal didn't work as we hoped. My cycle was almost cancelled on 3 different occasions because it was stimming incredibly slow. I was so discouraged. On top of that, I have a cyst on my right ovary. Then on one of my u/s they saw 16 follicles and I was given the green light to continue. I was so excited! When I had the retrieval, I learned that they only got 7 eggs and only 4 fertilized, 3 survived the transfer 2 8 cell, 1 9 cell. At least one of them took. Then I thougth I had a yeast infection after the transfer. In retrospect, I'm not sure if it was that of my embies snuggling in. I will find out Wednesday how many.

This process has so many ups and downs. You never know. When things go smoothly (like for me last time) sometimes you get a BFN and when things don't go as planned it can work out. I wish you all the best.

My last cycle , there was only one egg fertilized from 8 eggs.
I have start for attempt for 6 days . I have folacin and suprecur .
19th dec is going to be the first visit to the doctor .
I hope this time the luck and miracle are on our side.
I have endometriesis ( had passed laparoskopi ) , my hubby on the good condition.

Keep our faith and i would be happy if we can keep contact.

I hope everything goes well for you on this cycle...

We were always told that on average it takes couples around 3 cycles... I don't know if that's true - some are lucky on their first attempt, for others it takes longer. The trick is to keep the faith and know it will be your turn soon.

Don't worry too much about egg quantity - remember all it takes is one good egg and one good sperm. I only every got 3 eggs - and that was only once out of three goes...
