Jackie - good that you & dh had a chat and have a firm plan. Even if it means waiting another month. Found that I need my dh to be so supportive when I cycle that it is crucial that you are both on the same page. And hopefully with Xmas, it will go faster than normal

Tony - I have read your story and what happened to you and your dw. You have been so brave and supportive of your dw through all of this. Welcome to the thread. I hope that we will all be able to offer support.

Jaby - welcome. Hope that your 7 embies are doing well. Good Luck for ET on Wednesday

Macca/Lisa - your holiday sounds fab. I could do with some sun right now. Too wet & cold in the UK! Wish I could come too!! It will give you something to look forward to after the winter and tmt

Sonya - sorry that you had a rough man. Some of them just don;t have a clue. Good luck for today - hope that you get a dr who is more gentle and understanding. I know that it can be frustrating but it is all about growth high quality follies so steady as she goes

Christine - hope that dh is fully recovered now

Vickie and Babyblue - hope that all goes well for your np meetings tomorrow

Bec - Hang in there hun. Good luck for and u/s tomorrow so I shall be looking out for news. If you can feel it already then all must be happening for you

Haylie - cannot believe that someone else watched the repeat show of XFactor. Dh was like what the hell r u doing watching it again! I have no idea what I'll do at the end of it..........

Welshgirl - Hope that your new job is going well. You certainly will brighten up the office. I am not as sure as you. Have a fancy that young girls who were voting for McDs might switch to Ray and if Ben doesn't do something special it might be Leona vs Ray in the final. How much would Simon love that!!! Nearly wet myself with excitement on Saturday (rather like ET  !!!!!) so goodness knows what I'll be like this week!!!

Shantala - fingers crossed that all is well for dh's assessment. We all tend to be a bit up & down as you wait and then during tmt especially with the drugs. Some days I am like of course it will work & other days like how can I possibly believe that I'll beat the odds and it will happen for me. Sorry but it is part of the deal hun!!!

Aunty - I lived in NY and so loved the shopping. Wish I could come with you. So hoping that AF will behave and not mess you around with dates/holiday close down. You just don't need. If I get even a faint line I shall collapse and need resuscitation before I can tell dh let alone you ladies.

Susan - Hope that you had a good time up in Scotland. Cannot believe that the McDs were front page news. That is so funny! Please don't give up the PMA. You are so close now hun. We all know that it is never ever over until the fat lady sings & that you really cannot tell. The last couple of days are always the most stressful when you figure that it cannot possibly have worked. Your testing has come around so quickly although sure that it does not feel like that for you hun. I like you am going to test at home as cannot face getting the news when my dh is not with me. Calling him last time, even when I was already bleeding, after the clinic called, killed me. However, I should not be encouraging you with the HPTs - we all know that they are evil! I am crossing everything that you are going to be the first BFP for this thread. Do let us know if you test tomorrow. I don't tell my dh either - he would go mad and tell me to wait!

Angie - I am thinking of testing Saturday too. That will be 9 days after a 2 day transfer for me. May be we should have a pact to test together....what do you think. I am going loopey too already

I am not sure whether I feel everything or nothing at all. My nipples (sorry) are quite sore but pretty certain that happened last time with the progesterone. I wretched this morning & thought that I was going to be sick (wasn't) but that could just be as I took my antibiotic (they have me on it for a week post EC to reduce risk of infection) without food. Or could be the fact that dh and I treated ourselves to a Chinese take away last night. Who the hell knows? Would love to be as sick as a dog if I thought that it was a good sign!!!

Dh dropped me into town today and trying to do a little work although blimin hard to concentrate. Goodness only knows what I'll be like by next Monday. ARRRGGGGGHHHH

Love to you all.

Welcome AMC, Jaby, and Tony. This is an awesome thread with some wonderful and caring ladies.

Aunty - AF is never a nice witch. A bit evil I think. Always playing games with our minds and bodies. I will be praying for an early AF next time.

Sassy - Georgous pics. I would consider you a professional photographer. You are very lucky to have experienced an African safari.

Sokru - Sorry about the rough u/s. I think men are more rough because they don't have one and don't have a clue how it feels. That is why I have a female OB/GYN Dr. Unfortunately, my IVF Dr. is male. However, he is very gentle.

Shantala - Good luck on DH's assessment tomorrow.

Carolyn, Susan and Angie - hang in there. It is just about BFP time!!! I'm not a good influence on the HPTs. I think peeing on those things is adictive.

Vickie - Since AF showed, do you still have planning meeting tomorrow?

I can't access any of the MySpace areas at work because of our firewall, so I will have to try and demand a few minutes on DH laptop this weekend to put the faces to the names.

I'm getting excited about our meeting tomorrow. This is when I get all the dates for starting meds, as well as signing paperwork (including setting our limit as to how many eggs we will allow Dr. to implant). My Dr. is very aggressive with # of eggs implanted - especially older patients. Some of his patients has had as many as six implanted and only one multiple (twin) birth out of ones over 40. He has a 47 year old patient pg now with her own eggs (singleton).

Sticky baby dust to everyone. Especially those I didn't mention individually.

Hello Ladies,

I did my day 3 bloods today to see if treatment can go ahead and my FSH reading was 5.3 which apparently is excellent according to the clinic. They said that the E2 reading was brilliant too. So fingers crossed I might get some nice eggies this time too.

I could do with some good news. My father in law has been extremely sick for nearly a year now and is steadily getting worse. I love the man to bits too and as my father died when I was 12, he has been everything to me and obviously my husband. My poor mother in law is in bits with it all. Say a prayer girls that he improves. He will never get better as its a failing heart but maybe he might not suffer as much.

So for the personals and cheery notes.

TONY, Our favourite Italian Stallion. Glad you will be cycling with us. You have been through so much and come through it fighting. It will work for you. Have faith.

AUNTY, I had a look at your MySpace. Pretty Cool. I have one too but not uploaded any pictures yet but I will this week. When do you start down regging?

EMMA, Of course I remember you sweetie. You know what we are going to be pregnant together, I am sure of it.

CAROLYN, Good luck with the pregnancy test. I do hope you get more in your christmas stocking this year, maybe a pair of booties.

BEC, Hop on in to my suitcase. You're more than welcome to come. As a avid IVF'er I believe now that I must always ensure good things after the treatment. It helps with the blue feeling you can get when it goes wrong sometimes.

BECKY, Best of luck with the new job. Glad you're giving it another go. We will be here to support you girl. PS your wedding photos look fab. Beautiful daughters too.

Hey Guys
Mind if I join in? I am on day 16 of my BCP's for my FET that will be on Jan 12th. I can't wait...My dh has had a vasectomy and I went through ivf/icsi in June and ended up with a BFP and then lost my baby at 12 weeks. I am really looking forward to starting our cycle. I want to get my baby out of the deal...(like we all do!) Anyhow I will be doing the lupron shot tomorrow and I have an u/s on the 15th. I will start my meds on dec 26th and I am totally geeked. My doc wants to do assisted hatching..what do you guys think about this? Just wondering. I havent really read about it yet as I just got the consents for it. Your thoughts would be appreciated. Hope that you are well and that things are going good for you.

I just want to thank all you wonderful ladies for you kind words of support....

I thought when i got told that i couldn't have children of my own i would be a blubbering wreak, but surprisingly, i'm not as bad as i thought i would be...

I think maybe it's because we have a plan and there is still something to look forward too...Plus we have probably got more of a chance of adopt an infant child if not a baby, than we have, having a child of our own, and knowing that is keeping me going.............

As i have said before, you are all very couragous and amazing people to go through all of this. i admire you all so much, especailly the ladies that go through it again and again and again to get there dream, YOU ARE EXCEPTIONALLY STRONGWILLED AND INCREDIBLE WOMEN!!!!!!!!

I AM SO VERY VERY PROUD OF YOU ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I want to congratulate all the very lucky ladies who got a BFP, while i have been around. It is amazing how many of you are over half way there, if not ready to drop or have had you beautiful baby. It has flown by so quickly.

To all you BFN, you are in my heart and prayers, PLEASE DON'T GIVE UP You will all be blessed one way or another.

I'm not going away for ever, but i need some time away from having babies on the brain, i need to rebuild myself, ready for our next big feat...

I wish you all loads of luck for the future and pray you all get the BFP's you all so deserve.

Take care
Love and huge hugs to you all...

Wow..there are lots of us....trying to get caught up...

bec: So sorry you are feeling "ugh"! How were your us results?

Aunty: the "little one" you must be asking about is one of my nieces, Andrea. A beauty, ain't she? her daddy is gettin' out the shotgun.. target practice that he will be needing in a few years...

Shantala: Here's hoping the lab workers drink lots of coffee and work VERY fast. Hoping you get your letter on time so you can start again.

Tony: welcome (back), nice to add some testosterone to the mix! Wishing you and dw best of luck w/upcoming cycle

Jaby: Welcome to the board! Good luck on your ET comin' up.

tans: Another welcome to you! I have not done AH (haven't had any decent quality blasts yet), but have heard good things about it. Wish i had some good info for you.

macca: you and your family (esp FIL) are in my prayers.

babyblue: Hope your mtg went well. Did you get your schedule?

Carolyn: I am wishing you all the patience in the world, sweetie. You have really struggled through the 2ww, and i am glad that you are at least on the downside...

US today was good. I have 17 follies growing (almost 2x the amt of last 2 cycles), and so i am cautiously optimistic!!

Thanks for your nice comments re: the pictures (but even dh says they look better on the site than in reality). As for the vacations.. Africa was a dream of mine for years... if we had to do it again though, probably would have used the money for IVF (i naively thought i would get preg on 1st :? )

Afternnon Lady's
Lara how are you its so good to read you...hope you well and happy...hugs

Babyblue i was going to ask the same question....great minds and all that

Bec how did it go today i do hoep you feel better soon hun...

Oh yeah Sassy she really is beautiful im like you we thought we just had to "Have IVF" and we would be done ...how wrong we where ...well this has to be it we paid our dues...

Dory its good to see you it really is i can well imagine you need some off time and your right your embarking on a wonderful path to mommyhood always in my prayers...

Trans Hi there and a big Image to you i am very sorry for your loss ... its great to have you here with us.. i also do assisted hatching had it last time on all of my embies (D3T) it was cool you could see the little hole in the shell on the pic they gave us of our little ones i had a mad moment and thought they could fall out early so got all worried about it hurting them but my embysitter assured me that they only come out once they are big enough to push open the shell and the little hole she made just makes it easier for them so we will be doing it again this time

Macca wow that is brilliant like a lady in her early 20's mine is 6.4 so your going to get loads of embies from that reading.... i am so sorry about your FIL i will pray for him of course ...

as for me i have had a break...thank you all for your prayers i called my clinic (the nurses are wonderful ) well they said no they arent open 1st but that they are there so if my day falls on the 1st they will make and exception and let me come in for my baseline woohoo i was so pleased she also is going to pull my file and make sure there will be no problems this time so im a happy bunny ...Macca i should start lupron around 19th January...yeah

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! :D

My Dr. called this morning and said all 7 survived the weekend and several of them have become compact embryos. So, we will go ahead with the transfer Wed. at 3:30. We haven't yet talked about how many to put in. DH told me this morning he's nervous about ending up with more than one, I guess we'll have to wait and see!

Good luck everyone!!
