Cowgirlclass,

I live in Dallas/Fort Worth. Yes, I was nervous! I knew it would be okay but after having gone thru so much to get pregnant, I was scared to do anything that might put it at risk. But for me, the peace of mind will be worth the small risk.

It's hard to be a pregnant OB nurse. I've seen just about every possible thing that can go wrong with the baby or me. Way too much information to stress about!

It looks like we are due on the same day, though I bet I'll deliver first! With twins, I'll never make it to June 18.

Happy Weekend gals!

Hope everyone is doing well! I'm glad to hear that so many of us have been getting good news this week.

Nance--I am starting to feel better this week. Partly, because my doc put me on an anti-nausea med. I'd rather not take any more drugs than I'm already on....but one can only feel pukey for so long. Good luck with your next appointment--I'm sure everything will be great. Remember, positive thinking really does have an impact!

Racheal--Congrats on your good news! You must be so relieved to move on to a "normal" baby doctor!

Cowgirl--I'm totally worried about the weight gain too (since all I've been eating is carbs...I refuse to weigh myself). Did your doc say you are gaining too much weight? I worry about diabetes....not sure if I should.

Laura--Thanks for the amnio info. That is reassuring. I have a friend who is currently carrying (about 22 weeks) a baby who has very thick neck folds and Turner syndrome, plus some abnormal lung/heart issues. They don't think the baby will make it....so that's in the back of my mind. I'm still not sure what I'll do about those tests. I guess I should decide soon.

Vicky--I have no idea about the boob issue. I'd definitely have it checked out though, just to be safe. Good luck.

Have a terrific weekend...whether you're in snow or sun!

Good Morning Everyone,

Laura - Thank you so much for your reassurance. I am so glad your test went well that must be such a relief. My gut is telling me to go for the Amnio if nothing else because I think like you said it would give me peace of mind for the rest of the pregnancy. I also read an article that came out a few days ago saying that the risk is much lower then then originally thought. Here is the link if anyone wants to take a look http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,226763,00.html

Kim - I am glad you are feeling a little better. Try not to worry your Dr. would not give you any medicine that could hurt you or the baby.

Angellica - I have had several lumps and cycts in my breast my whole life and they have all turned out fine but if I was you I would definately tell your Dr. to be on the safe side. You can safely have a breast Ultrasound so they can see what is going on in there. I have one scheduled for February and my Dr. said that it can not harm the baby in any way. I know the extra hormones in our bodies can make your breasts all lumpy and bumpy but you should check it out just for peach of mind.

Vicky, Rachel, Cowgirl, Thook, Elliecat - I hope you are all doing well and have a great weekend.

As for me we invited all the folks and grandfolks over tonight for dinner to tell them the news. It sould be nice. I am sure it they will be excited. No one other than my mom knew we were going for fertility treatments or even that we were trying so I think it will be a big surprise.

Take care everyone.

All my best,
Nance

Good news--I actually had a fairly nausea free day yesterday! Yeah! But, it came back today....bummer, but at least there's some light at the end of the tunnel.

Hi Ladies.

Went for my 1st scan on Friday, everything looks great so far...and we have one beanie!!! Will be going for 2nd scan, and will see heartbeat :D , this Friday. Don't have to wait too long. My RE is going to keep me under his wing for another 4-6 weeks, and then send my on my way to my OB. Time will hopefully go fast--- I want to make that 12 week marker  !!!!

Hi Everyone,

I hope you all had a great weekend.

M'BA - Congratulations on your great 1st scan. It is so great that you only have to wait 1 week for your next one.

Kim- My dinner went great. Thank you for asking. Everyone was completely shocked and there were happy tears all around. I was exhaused by the time everyone left and was happy to collapse on my couch with my cat. I'm glad you had a day of not feeling so sick. That must mean that the end of the morning sickness is getting close. Hopefully in another week or two you will feel great.

Colleen - I am so sorry you were not able to make your appointment. Did you get another one? How are the headaches? I hope you feel better soon. Just try to get as much rest as you possibly can, drink a lot of water and let your DH take care of you.

How is everyone else doing? Does anyone have any appointments this week?

Cowgirl - When do you hear the results of your Nuchal scan?

As for me I am happy to report that I am one more week closer to my 12 weeks. I will be 10 weeks tomorrow. I can't wait until I am finished with the progesterone. Yuck! I am feeling pretty good, just very tired all the time and some stomach upset. I get out of breath really easily for some reason (does that happen to anyone else?) and I wake up about three times a night to go to the ladies room. Please don't think I am complaining, I am not. I realize how lucky I am to have this little beannie in me and I will take whatever is thrown my way as long as the result is a healthy baby.

I hope everyone is doing well and I am sorry for those who I missed in the personals but I am thinking and praying for you all.

All my best,
Nance

Nance,

I get out of breathe too! Not sure what it's caused from. Also very tired!!! So happy that you are almost to your 12 week marker :D !! How much longer for progestrone? I am counting down the days until thats over too! Ouch, my sides are sore...but like yousaid, would do anything to make sure this is a healthy baby in the end.

M'BA, congrats on your scan!!!!!!!, how great that you can have the next one on Friday......as a matter of fact when I read your post I figured maybe I could have mine sooner too and I called my RE to see if I could change my scan from next Monday to this Friday, but there was no opening  ......

Nance, you know I also get out of breath easily, and I didn't know why, I don't have OHSS so I didn't know exactly why it would be, maybe it is the progesterone, who knows.......so good you are so close to the 12 weeks!!, I have 6 more weeks to go, It seems never ending!!!! .....

How's everybody doing today????

Vicky,

It was too early to see the heartbeat for me, so that is why I am doing another scan so soon! After that, I am not sure what happens. I know that I will be seeing my IVF RE for another 4-6 weeks, and then on to my OB, which I am trying to make an appointment with for January!! Time should move fast, with the holidays and all!!

Glad to know you all are out of breathe too!!! Makes me feel more normal  !

M'BA, my next scan is also to be able to hear the HB, the prior one last week I was only 5w5d, so that is why they are doing another one about 10 days from that one, I tried to move it to 7 days, but no luck

Well gals, I am out of breath too! How bout that? I have a history of a slight case of asthma, so I just figured it was that. Who knew?

Nance--glad to hear the dinner went well.

For the rest of you all, good luck on your scans this week! Vicky and M'BA, I hope you get to hear the heartbeat soon....it's pretty cool!

Gotta go...I'm actually going to go to the gym and attempt to try a light work out today (since I don't feel like hurling!). I've always been very physically active, so this will be an adjustment--good excuse to go "easy" right?!

Take care everyone!

Hope everyone had a nice weekend! Sounds like everyone is doing well!

LauraLou I am pretty sure you will Pop :-) before me :-) as I have been 2 weeks late with both my other children and twins normally do arrive earlier! :-)

Bukeyegal, I gained a bunch of weight during the IVF processes between the hormones and prenatels. I haven't gained anything since my ET. My goal is to not gain any till my 16 week mark, due to the excessive weight gain in the stimulation process. :-)

Nance - I am really glad your dinner went well and it is so nice to hear about happy tears instead of sad ones! :-) When do you have to decide about your amnio? I should hear the results of my nuchal scan by Friday. :-)

Colleen - I hope they are able to get you in pretty quick, I know how we look forward to those scans! :-)

MBA and Vicki - I am so glad your scans went well. I know the next one will be a great relief when you can see that little heart beating!

Take care everyone and stay warm!
