Hey ladies!

Thanks for the heartburn tips. I think pizza is a big "hot button" for me...which stinks cause its one of the only foods that sounds good to me! I'm stocking up on the tums....we'll see how I do!

Angelica--good luck on the booby scan! :D I am thinking of you.

Cowgirl--The bedding is very cute! It would look neat with a white crib and (yikes!) red walls....my friend did her walls red with white furniture, and it looked so neat! Bold choice, but different from the "typical" nursery. I'm glad your nuchal went well. Mine is scheduled for the day after Christmas. (I figure I can have a good holiday and then find out...) My RE told me NO amnio (more risk due to twins), but he wants me to get all the other tests.

ellie--Spain sounds so much more exciting than Ohio....almonds are supposed to be a great treat during pregnancy. I buy mine at the store  So, I'm not sure if you have to be careful with fresh ones off the tree? I'm sure they're healthier!

Tasha--congrats on making it to the 13th week! Go shopping, girl!

Update on me....I had another scan today. The twins had strong heartbeats and they were moving around---one was kicking its legs! My mom was there with me this time, and she was so excited to see them! My DH usually goes, but he let my mom have the glory this time! :)
One baby's heartbeat is a little faster than the other ones...so they think I might have a boy and a girl in there. (I'm waiting to find out...but I guess a boy's heart beats faster in the womb...)

Some troubling news though...I guess I'm having some slight hemorraging (sp?)...I've had no spotting but my placenta has 3 small tears from my uterus. They're only about 5 mm each. The RE says that this is fairly common with twins? He's upping some of my hormones to help repair the tears. In the meantime, I'm off the exercise (bummer...but I'm allowed to go for walks....too bad it's freakin' freezing here in OHio). My next scan is on the 13th....hopefully things will be healed by then. I know in my heart that this isn't a major complication...it just reminds me of how fragile these little beanies are.

Hope everyone is feeling well today!

Kim- Well I figure after the Holidays I'll go shopping... I'm kind of waiting until our next scan (when we'll possibly be able to find out the sex). This way I can go crazy....

Well glad to hear the twins are doing good. A boy & a girl - how perfect would that be. Well sorry to hear about your small tears. Please take care of yourself and those little beanies in there. Rest up..... and also keep us posted as to what they say.

Hi Ladies,

I know that it's been awhile since I last posted... things have been crazy here!!! Looking forward to my 2nd scan and heartbeat on Friday!!!! Yippee!!

People at work are starting to ask (with all my Dr. appointments) whether I am pregnant!!! I am trying to keep i quiet until I reach that 12 week mark! I feel bad saying no, but am not ready to announce it to the world...although I know everyone in my family(and family friends know) but that's different than work!! Sorry just venting---

A little nervous, went for a diabetic test today, and my results came back a little high---will probably have to do more extensive testing! Praying that I am not diabetic---no reason to believe I am??

Thinking and praying for you all!!!
Keeping the faith!

hi guys.... we are doing good... i got into the dr's yesterday, we did not get a scan, but we heard the heartbeat.... this is the first time we actually heard it!!! it was great 145-155... the office was crazy because they were making all the appointments up from the snow day on friday... we go back in 3 week and then we'll get a level 2 scan in about 6 weeks... DH and i are still fiughting over finding out the sex..... he says yes, i say no... this pregnancy was a miracle, so i think it would be great NOT to know... both my boys say that it's another boy.... my doc says that what kids say are the most correct, better then all the old wives tales.... I'm so glad that i'm past the 12 week mark!!!! my Doc saidmy due date could be sooner then june 17, he said he has it marked for june 12th?? he said the the date really doesn't matter all that much, and i'll probably so early, cuz that's was i did with my other 2 kids (4w1d, and 3w3d early).... so he said it looks like a may date...

Tasha- good to hear that you are doing well.... me too with the tums (the smooties are actually good) i have a bottle upstairs, downstairs, in my car and in my purse.... i don't leave home without them!!!! so you are going to find out the sex.... good luck hope he/she is not modest

M'BA-good luck on your scan on friday, and do not worry about the work people.... they should mind their own busness... i have a diabetic test next appointmemt... my doc usually does it at 28 weeks, but wants it sooner... we'll see....

Kim- hopw that your plactenta calms down and fixes itself!! It would be great to have aone of each... i hear you about the cold... we are susposed to get a really cold snap tomorrow and have a high of like 10... yeikes!!! take care

angellica- hope that your scan goes well... take care of yourself!!

cowgirl.... it's soo cute!!! glad that your results were really good!!... a bit of relief!!

nance- hope that you are doing good.... i know about the tired thing.... i'm waiting for my burst of energy??? i keep telling myself that it should be anyday now!! i'm in the 12th week, and still waiting!!!! how's the pillow?? does it work well.... i keep looking and tring to deceide if it's will be good...

i hope that everyone is doing well.... and keep us updated!!!

All,

I am feeling a little better today. I am still on 11 different medications, but I can manage to breath most of the time. They did an ultrasound of the baby yesterday and they said s/he looked really good, but the heartbeat was a little low. They think it is from all the medications and they want me to come back on Dec. 18 to do another scan because I should be off of about half the medications by then. So, now I just wait and hope everything turns out okay. I will catch up with everyone a little later, right now I am trying to start working.

Thanks,

Racheal

Hi Girls,

I am a newbie to this thread. I found out my result i.e. BFP :D on the 4th of Dec and am now quite excited.

I have already started to feel nauseous and also feel quite bloated. None of my clothes fit and I am already looking at buying some loose clothes.

Did any of you have these symptoms in the third week ?

I have been looking at some clothes and there are various types i.e. below the bump, above the bump etc. I have not got a bump yet but feel very bloated and heavy. Do you have any recommendations for maternoty clothes ?

Your advise will be much appreciated.

Thanks and regards,
Sita

Collean - it is really neat to hear the HB isn't it? Hubby and me decided not to find out the sex ahead of time, we are going to let it be a surprize. But it is not as much fun buying baby stuff if you don't know which way to go unless you really like yellow :-)

Racheal- I am glad you are feeling better. I have heard other people say medications speeding or slowing a baby's heart rate. I am sure it will pick up once you are off the meds. It is hard not to worry about every thing.

Sita, welcome to the newbies :-)

Take care everyone,
Cowgirl

Sita,

They told me how many I had on my first scan, one beanie, but I think there is always that possibility that they don't see the other one...at least I have heard stories of woman who were told 1 at first scan, and then later found out there were more!!

Sita, how many weeks pg are you? If you don't know how to calculate there is a neat PG calculator on this site. What were your beta HCG numbers? Are you hoping for twins? :-)

Take care and welcome again, this is a great group of ladies.

Colleen- it is great to hear from you... baby sounds like it is doing just fine (strong little heartbeat). Yeah we're going to find out what we're having... I'm such a huge planner so it would kill me not to find out. This weather is crazy... it was like 10 degrees this morning (FL is calling my name).

Sita- welcome to the boards.... also congrats on your BFP! Good luck with your scan. Dec. 20th is a lucky day (it's my DH's B-Day).

To everyone else... hope your having a great day!

Sita,

Congratulations on you BFP and welcome! This is a wonderful place to chat, ask questions and just vent when you need. I think I would have gone crazy about a thousand times already if it was not for the women on this board.

I hope everyone else is doing well today. Work is crazy so I just snuck on for a second to say Hi.

All my best.

just a quick hello... i'm trying to get some stuff done around here.... does anyone else have no drive at all.... i'm so far behind on the gifts, let alone haven't wrapped a single thing... i'm usually on top of it all and completely done by now... I'm so so so dragging my feet, i'll just tell everyone it's cuz i'm so tired still..... actually woke up this morning and felt good... no headach and actually had a little energy... hope this is the start of getting my energy back....

sita- congrats on the BFP... try the rubberband trick on your current pants.. they also sell belly bands, a fabric that you can wear over your unbuttoned pants and nobody knows cuz it looks like a tank or cammi.. those saved me.... Ibought them at a maternity store but i know that they have them online "bellabands"?? I think..

cowgirl... i'm looking forward to the surprise at the end.. I have a ton of boy stuff already from my other two... a bin of neutrals, bo if it's a boy, we are set, now if it's a girl, my hubbie says that we are in BIG trouble... There have not been any girls in our families in 17-18 years... so it's been a while since i got to buy all the cute girl stuff.... but that said i think that it's a boy also... do you have any thoughts yet?? boy or girl... i had a dream it was a boy.... i think that dreams, in my case have been correct.

Racheal- boy, i sure hope that you are feeling better and the breathing is ok... i'm sure the heartbeat will be fine on your next visit.. take care of yourself!!

tasha- hope that you are doing good.... did you ever start to work out?? I walked, in that mall because of the crazy cold today, but i felt a pulling pain, so it was kind of shortlived... we were susposed to go to vegas next month for our 10th anniversary... we were looking forward to the warmth... but we canceled, i do not feel like going being pregnant..

well, have a good day all and you are all in prayers

Colleen- Yeah I started working out... it feels so good. I'm up every morning at 5:00am and at the gym by 5:15am. I feel so good the rest of the day!

Well I'm a little far behind on my X-Mas shopping as well. I still have a few people to buy for and wraping hasn't even hit me yet. I'm hoping to get it all done by next weekend. We actually have our annual cookie exchange this Sunday so I'll be baking my little heart out on Saturday.... 96 cookies.

Hope your staying warm,
Tasha
