Hi Angie,
Not much longer now. I am hoping the spotting is implantation. Please keep the PMA and let us know what it is. I will be thinking about you.

Aunty, thanks for updating the list with my B-day. Not much longer before we start now. This will be the first time that I go right into stimming with no downregging. Have you ever done it this way?

Mia, Great job on ER. Im sorry that you woke up. That would be scary!! I hope you rest and you keep your feet up. Well done.

Carolyn, Thinking of you. Not much longer. Keep up the PMA.

Not much new here. Just getting ready for accu. I dont know what to expect, but hope that this will help me going forward. Accu DR said that we will talk about diet and other things that will help me. I will let you all know.

Take care,
Hugs,
Jackie

Rach- still no AF, think it will be today or tomorrow though. We may well be starting on the same day!! I'll have to phone the clinic as soon as she arrives to re-arrange my dates.

Aunty - I hope you have a fab party and celebrate in style (I'm sure you will in true brummie style!) Enjoy

Have a good day all

Morning ladies

Collected my "goodie bag" from the clinic this morning so all ready to start downregging when AF arrives. Anyone else been a little scared of another failure? DH told me last night he doesn't feel ready and maybe we should put it off for a few months - I asked him why and it turns out the only reason is that he's scared of another BFN. We had a good chat about it and I said I am also scared. He's feeling fine now. It's funny, they are always strong for us, but sometimes the tables have to turn don't they...?

Angie - I know you must feel so deflated, but please don't give up yet. Its not over til the fat lady sings so try to keep that PMA up until you test on Saturday - I'll keep everything crossed for you honey.

Mia - Well done on the eggies - fantastic. Hope you're not feeling too uncomfortable. Fingers crossed you get some great embies!

Aunty - have a great party!

To everyone else wherever you are in your treatment I'm sending you tons of babydust...

Love Ems xx

Aunty - that's sooooo funny! What a great idea! Let us know the reaction after the party...

Thanks for your bit about my hubby - I am totally in agreement with you about the adoption thing. That is our back up plan and I seem to feel easier about it cos although it will be devastating to get another BFN, I know we have another plan, and an exciting one at that!

Enjoy your party.

Hi Everyone:
The big "follow up" meeting wasn't much. Just another "unexplained" infertility procedure. The Dr. said all the labs equipment and procedures were fine, so the bottom line is he doesn't know what went wrong and why there was no fertilization. He did say trying a new protocol of skipping the Lupron is what he wants to do next.....for another $10,700.00 plus meds....plus ICSI. I could start as soon as I start my next cycle if I wanted to too.

Jenhope: did you get a price from GB on what ICSI costs, that is not included in the IVF price either. I got back $1,800.00 from the failed IVF attempt hopefully you won't ever have to do that.

Charity: I know some other gals have been telling me to go to Milwaukee and find another clinic......but it's 2.5 hours away......and with my DH and my job, it's just not an option because we both only get (1) week off per year.....I know, our jobs suck. I'm turning 41 in a few weeks, my B-Day is Dec. 30th, I guess I have some serious decisions to make as I know my age is really going to be a factor.

Hi,

I havent gone to accu yet, but DR reccommended the book "Infertility Cure" by Randine Lewis.

I just thought I'd share this with you as I am on my way to get it today.

I will let you know if I like it. It had rave reviews on the internet.

Hugs to all,
Jackie

Aunty: hope you have a great time tonight....can't wait to hear how the boxer/KY jelly deal goes :D

EMS: Isn't it great to pick up a new cycle of meds? I always love that! I know you are concerned about another bfn...bfns are so discouraging. For my emotional/mental health (such as it is :? ), my counselor has been helping me to come to an acceptance of the outcome of this journey, whatever God has in store for me. It has helped me to calm the feelings of "desperation" that i have felt about this cycle.

Angie and Carolyn: Ladies, this has been a truly tortured 2ww for the two of you. I am so hoping for bfps for you both! Like everyone has been saying...the whole fat lady thing...she has yet to open up! Carolyn... i do understand wanting to warn others...i called up my parents when i was pretty sure it was bfn for me...i was flying out to visit the day of my beta and knew i wouldn't be able to deal w/their reaction stepping off the plane if it really was neg. So i warned them. We are all here for both of you, and hope is still in order!! PMA, PMA, PMA.

babyblue: glad to hear mtg went well. I know i always feel better once i have dates, etc. Also glad to hear dh feeling better about it... i would imagine it would be hard to go through all of this if dh is neg.

ssalgado, honey. You have been in my thoughts alot. Having worked in hospitals for several years, i have woked w/many families as they struggle to make decisions on behalf of their loved ones. I have seen, although not personally experienced, how difficult that is. My heart goes out to you. On a different subject... i am hoping your lining plumps up in the next few days so that you can FET next wk! You are in my prayers.

mia: like i said on the other thread...can't believe i missed you. I was thinking your ER was probably a little earlier, so clearly wasn't paying close attn! One of these days...

Triggered last night @12:45. I had explained to dh that hcg releases the eggs from the side of the follies so they are floating free so RE can "pluck" them out. SOOOO, while injecting, dh insisted on singing Sting's chorus "Free, free, set them free'! heeheehee. Got over my latest "E2 level panic" (although not my obsession...it was 9,000 yest  ), nice chat w/RE about it yest...nice big follies so low risk of OHSS. Calmed the nerves.

ciao!

Angie - If we test at home early then there is always a risk that this happens. The tests are evil. They are from Satan. Plenty of girls get a -ve and go onto get a BFP. I feel for you but please try to keep up the PMA. I am getting cramps like my AF is just about to arrive. Knicker checking is intensifying for me. I also have the progesterone suppositries. Struggling too. Cannot re-call it being so bad last time. Re-called thinking that it beat more jabs but now not so sure. Cannot decide whether to HPT tomorrow or not......................I am feeling everything that you are. Honest.

Aunty - Thank you for putting up a separate test thread for me already. You are so kind and so organised. I am sure that dh's party this evening is going to be a total blast (Ha Ha)!!!!

Sassynlv - Cannot believe that you have done the trigger shot already. So funny that your dh was singing. Hope that everything is going to go great for your EC

Mia - what great numbers for you sweetie. Let's hope that loads fertilise and then you will have the pick of the bunch as well as some snow babies too

SS - Keep 'Thinking Thick' for you hun. At least your clinic is not rushing things and is determined to get it right for you. I am thinking of your Dad too

Bec - Cannot believe that you'll test Xmas Eve. This is just going to be the bset Xmas pressie for you ever hun

Ems - Great that you got your bag of meds. It always makes it all feel very real for me when I get the little bag of horrors!!!! Sweetie - BFNs scare the living daylights out of all us. It is natural but there is also that wonderful glimmer of hope that it will be the BFP instead that keeps us all going

Susan - hope that you & James will manage to have a nice weekend together and give yourself lots of treats. You deserve it

Jackie - I love acu so will look forward to hearing what you say. Really relaxing and I feel like I am doing something to help which always feels good

Haylie - still jigging hun for your AF. Get dancing to XFactor tomorrow in white knickers

Becky and Vero - you are both absolute dolls to keep dropping in to offer support. Thank you so much. Becky - hope that you job improved over the course of the week. Anyhow XFactor to look forward to tomorrow

Sorry to those who I have missed but my head is a bit all over the shop as you might imagine. I am hoping that all of you will have your prayers answered.

Been a little better today and yesterday as continued to keep myself busy to reduce thinking time as much as possible. Just felt some AF style pains in my tummy which sent me hurtling to the loo. Boobs don't feel as sore as they were either. Tomorrow will be a really really hard day for me. It was the day that I started to bleed in my last ivf. Acu has calmed things down for me with AF so may be different this time anyway. Just hoping really hard that I can somehow last the weekend without the witch arriving for me. Now 8 days past a 2 day transfer. Wondering if I can hold out tomorrow and HPT Sunday first thing when I would be 10 days post a 2 day transfer. I know that I'll test at some stage over the weekend if AF does me the service of staying away. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM ME FOR ONCE !!!!

Have X Factor to keep me busy tomorrow evening and dh has promised me Fish & Chips this evening as a special cheer up treat.

Thanks to all of you for being there for me and doing all you can to keep up my PMA and to keep me calm.
Have great weekends.
Lots of Love
Carolyn xxxx
