Hi Ladies! Looks like the few of us are in the same boat... I just saw my doctor yesterday, and he too told me my baby's head is very high... and during the scan he found that the baby's lying horizontally across my belly... he also suggested that maybe the baby's head is too big to fit in the pelvis, that's why he's not engaged yet... and he hinted that I may need a c-section (which I'd been hoping to avoid)..

Just wanted to wish everyone all the best while we sit tight and wait for the babies' arrivals! Good luck to everyone for a smooth delivery, and happy healthy babies! :)

Its so nice not to be alone here!!!! I too have not progressed much - I am only 1cm and my dr said that I would have to be at least 3cm before he would induce me! I will tell you that wanted to make me cry - then I decided to do something...My dr suggested I could have sex which with my DH isn't gonna happen and I cant say that I am comfortable having sex at this point....So on my way home I bought some castor oil....OMG IT WAS SO GROSS - I read online that as long as some kind of labor has started (meaning your at least 1cm) its ok but be very careful cause it is a very strong laxative - if you have too much it can cause major diahrea...What I did was had 1 tablespoon in a coke (which it floated on top) I got most of it but not all of it down....It doesn't harm the baby and at the very least it will clean out my bowels - or I could do that and go into labor! Either way I really felt like I needed to do something and I have read that the other natural remedies (cohosh and stuff) are more dangerous! I will be the guinea pig and let you know how it goes!

SO we are all in the same boat, feel like we are going crazy, uncomfortable/in pain, trying to avoid c-sections, and just waiting!

Hi Girls,

Hope you don't mind me butting in, but I thought I'd just wish you all luck, and that you move along fast now - especially with Christmas looming.

Jamato - hope you are feeling a bit more comfortable. have you tried just drinking warm water - it helps me a little. Or, what about prune juice? You've probably tried these already, but I hope you get relief soon.

Rouge - I'm like you, very high and the last few weeks he's been lying horizontally. I'm being sent for a scan tomorrow to see if he's the same way still - I hope not. But I think he may be as I'm sure he's trying to come out my side  at times.

Lisa - I'm sorry you are so uncomfortable. You're doctor sounds great and obviously wants thing sto be right for you. You're not ranting - just venting...

To everyone else - have healthy and happy and QUICK deliveries... and soon by the sounds of it.

Jessica,

I picked up the castor oil 2x in the store and put it back down..

I think Im going to get it today!

Since my full moon theory was useless... LOL

Lisa.. No one is saying im huge, which makes me feel awful too.. Infact all I have heard is... Oh my god, you've gained 80lbs? where are you hiding it?? I feel like punching them and saying.. Im hiding it right there you b*&$H!! ... I feel Huge, and im in the same pain boat as you.

I just know that the two of you are going to have your beautiful babies and im going to be pregnant until summer! Which is totally going to blow my plans for being back in a swimsuit by then!

As far as sex goes.. My poor DH hasn't been able to have sex with me in months. He says it just doesn't feel like me. and It doesn't feel right to have sex with his babies head inches away from his member. I told him last night.. I really need the sperm, the chemicals in it can cause cervical changes.. He really tried, and tried and tried to donate to the cause.. but alas... Nothing came of all his efforts.... I told him tonight I would take donations from the neighborhood men LOL.. At least we can still laugh about it!

The good news is.. If I go into labor now, the nasty mid wife isn't on duty today!

Maybe a good jog around the neighborhood would do the trick! ( at least it would give everyone a good laugh!)

Big Hugs!

Danielle

Ok Girls

SO here is the scoop....I tried the castor oil - I had 1 tbspoon - OMG GROSS - I put it in coke - cause it said I could do that what I did not expect is that it pooled on top like a film - I tried to drink the whole cup - I got down most of it....I figured if it didn't put me in labor at least it should clean my bowel out....Well at 1:30PM i started having contractions I called the dr when they were 10 minutes apart - he said callback when they are 5 minutes apart for an hour - So I waited and calulated - by 4:20 I called the doctor and we headed into the hospital - I really thought I was on my way! by 8AM the contractions became irregular again and by about 9AM they had stopped completely - I DIDN"T THINK FALSE LABOR WOULD BRING ON REGULAR CONTRACTIONS!!! So I got to go home and get some sleep...I really thought my baby was coming - oh yeah and I am only 1.5 centimeters - 50% effaced - and I still haven't had a relieving bowel movement!! So tonight I will take a break from the castor oil and see what nature does on its own.....Just know that false labor can REALLY feel like labor but if I was in labor it wouldn't have stopped....

Oh ladies - what would I do without all of you? Danielle - I laughed hysterically when I read your post about sex with you dh. I am going to use your idea and tell my dh that I am going out to get contributions from the neighborhood men and see how that goes over. Yes, it's true, my dh is not interested in sex anymore either. At first it hurt my feelings, now I am just thankful! I honestly don't know if I could go through with it.

Jessica - wow, sounds like a busy couple of days for you. I can't imagine having contractions that close together and having it turn out to be false labor - how frustrating! I bet you are close though. My money is on you going first.

I haven't had much in the way of contractions. I have had some AF type cramps, but my doctor acted like those aren't contractions. ?? I am confused. Since I haven't dilated at all - I guess they probably aren't. I wouldn't know the difference.

I am trying to be patient - the 18th is only 11 days away at this point. I am still hoping something might happen before then, but it's doubtful.

I also feel like my baby is laying sideways, although each time I go in to the docs she assures me that she is head down like she should be. Tonight, I was sitting on the couch, and I have these two giant lumps under my breasts - so it looked like I had 4 breasts, seriously. I am thinking - what position can this baby possibly be in to be doing this?? The lumps seemed far too big to be her feet - but they had to be. It was crazy and made my abdominal muscle burn like it was being torn or something. I am guessing it was her butt on one side and feet on the other - but it felt like two heads to me - lol!

This is all so crazy - my little girl has to be so cramped in there - I wish she would start coming out!

Hi to Zoe and Justine - great to see more of you on here.

Lisa,

One idea of the lumps - your baby could be sitting indian style almost so what you might feel is knees! I know the burning feeling too!!! I know my son has been facing to my left so sometimes his bum sticks out and other times it almost like is trying to stretch his legs despite the fact I have no room left!

Here's a question for you - all day today I have had a very sharp pain in my lower left side. It feels like ovulation pains, only stronger. I used to get these pains all of the time and was diagnosed with ovarian cysts - but it turned out to be my fallopian tubes full of water. It would be gone for a couple of hours but then it comes back out of nowhere. It hurts so bad I can barely walk. The only relief I get is leaning to the right side to take the weight of the baby off of it. The baby is moving a lot like usual - so I am not worried about that. This isn't in any way related to labor, is it? If any of you have any insight I would appreciate it. Maybe it's ligament pain again - but it's pretty sharp. If it were on my right side, I would be worried about my appendix.

Thanks!

Lisa I agree with Justine - my contractions have been all the way around not centralized in one place but why risk it let the dr make the call!!

Well I finally have some news! Yesterday I had my weekly biophysical profile and my son is estimated to weigh approx. 9lb 4oz so they have decided to induce me on monday! I don't know what time yet, I have to call on Monday AM - They will induce with cytotec to soften my cervix and see what happens....I guess they cannot give you pitocin unless you are at least 3cm - So keeping my fingers crossed that Logan may arrive the beginning of next week! I am very excited - of course now that they is a plan he may decide to come on his own!

Ladies - thanks for the responses. I awoke this morning and the pain was gone. I hate to say it - but I am wondering if maybe it was a gas pocket or something. We all know how things just don't function the same when you are pregnant.

Jessica - good luck on Monday! I will be thinking of you and I can't wait to hear all of the details! Lucky girl....
