Hi girls,

I thought I'd jump pover with Justine. Lisa, I'm with you about how the baby's lying. I'm the same and was sent for a scan as the midwide was convinced he was across the way. Anyway, he is head down now, and I have to say that I still get the two lumps like you - I'm convinced he's trying to come out of my side  As for the pains - it could have been gas, but maybe worth a wee phone call anyway... Glad the pain has gone though. All these discomforts will soon be gone...

Jessica - exciting that you'll see and hold Logan so soon. I find it amazing that a lot of people have an estimated weight - they don't tell you here and won't guess. Maybe that's a good thing...LOL. Good luck anyway.

Justine - hello girlie - fancy seeing your here...LOL

Hope everyone is well

Zed,

I am also a high risk since I had a 20 week loss with my last pregnancy therefore I get a biophysical profile everyweek since 34 weeks - this isn't standard for every woman every pregnancy - I am also very small and my baby has been measuring big - the weight is estimated by all of his measurements - this means that they measure the amnio fluid, the babies femur, head, belly and with those calculations they are able to determin the weight within 1lb - my sons measurements are all above the 90th percentile and at a mere 38 weeks 5 days he is measuring the size of a 42 week baby

Jessica,

I'm glad your getting checked so regularly then - it must be a relief to you to know all is well. And above the 90th centile - WOW. I remember my sister being sent for a scan as they thought she was too small - he was 6lb 11oz when born - not too small - but soon was always on the 90th centile on his checks... As Sam was so early, I remember being absolutely delighted when he first hit the lowest centile!!! LOL

You take care though. It's exciting to think you'll have the wee man in your arms in no time at all.

Yea Jessica!!

I am so glad they are going to induce you on Monday.. We can't wait to hear how it goes!

I have an appt on monday and hopefully they will tell me they will induce me on the 18th! Thats what im hoping for now, since the full moon day didn't work out.

I have contractions all day long almost everyday, and I don't know if I would know if I went into labor or not. I have been having lower pelvic pain so maybe something has been going on.

Lisa how are you feeling?

Hope all of you are feeling good!

Hi all! :) how're you doing today? Think quite a few of us have doc's appts today so hopefully we'll get some more updates!

Lisa, glad the pain has gone away...

Jessica, all the best for today (Mon) if Logan hasn't already decided to show up over the weekend! :)

At almost 39 wks I'm still not feeling any false or real contractions... don't feel any pelvic pains or anything... guess baby's not engaged yet... it's all a bit worrying, but I guess I shd trust my doc! Seeing him today, hopefully there'll be more news!

All the best to everyone! :) Hang in there! We'll be meeting our babies soon!

Hey Everyone,

I went to my doctors office today for my weekly check.

Nothing has changed with my cervix since last week even though I have had several nights of contractions and pain.

My Doctor said she would see me again on friday and we would talk about induction on Monday Dec 18th ( my DH's Birthday).

So unless he decides to pop his little head out sooner, I am getting excited for next week!

I can't wait to hear from the rest of you!

Update

Post by rouge »

Hi everyone,

The baby was still not engaged at my last visit (Mon)... so that doc says it's likely that I'll have to go for a c-section... My next appt is in 2 days time to confirm the position of the baby, and set a date for the section if necessary.... *fingers crossed* (I'm still hoping for a natural delivery)

Jessica, how're u doing? :) can't wait to get some updates from u!

Everyone else, stay positive! the time will come before u know it! :)

MLG - hang in there - something could still happen! I went from 50% effaced and no dilation on the 4th, to 80% effaced and dilated 1 cm on the 11th! I am definitely going to be induced this coming monday - the 18th. I am so excited! I am sure the nervousness will settle in very soon.

Danielle - are we still planning on emailing pics to each other on our cell phones from our hospital beds Monday? lol... after going through this entire process together it's so great we are being induced on the same day!

Jessica - I have been thinking of you all week and can't wait to hear the details and see the pictures! With any luck maybe you are being released today? I know you will post as soon as you are able.

Justine - isn't it great to get all of that xmas stuff out of the way? I got mine done early too - so now I can just sit back and be pregnant and let the holidays come. I should do it early every year!

Rouge - I am in the same boat as you, sort of. My baby is not dropping, but I am dilating and effacing so doctor told me to be on alert for a c-section, though we are going to try vaginal delivery first. Good luck to you.

The latest on me is that I have developed an abundance of amniotic fluid in the past week or so. The doctor isn't worried because it is happening so late in the pregnancy. They think it could be due to late onset gestational diabetes ( i have had unquenchable thirst the past couple of weeks) or it could be for no apparent reason at all. But my doc assured me that the baby is healthy. I go in for another non-stress test tomorrow. I had one Monday and I was having contractions the whole time and I didn't even feel anything. ?? They estimated the baby's weight to be at 7.5 lbs - so she is ripe and ready! 4 more days! YES!!!

Hey Everybody!

Jessica good luck on monday, looks like we will all be delivering on the same day - if our induction works -

They did an ultrasound guess on how big my little guy is and they said he is around 7lb 15 oz. The scary thing was his head was 9.76 centimeters.. that doesn't leave much clearance room if you ask me... LOL

Both of my other kiddos were only 6lb when they were born so I am expecting a lot of pushing this time, but I have done my Kegels so maybe it will all pop out quick!

Lisa - What time are you going in the hospital on monday?? Of course we can sent PICS!! Or we can atleast text eachother and see how its going.

Are you getting an epidural?? I am totally getting one.. I had them 2x before and I think its the way to go.. I am a no pain kinda girl! And one more word of wisdom.. If they tell you to start pushing before you feel like you have to have a bowel movement, you might be starting to push to soon.. To conserve energy let your body do most of it first.

Talk to you all soon!

Danielle
