Jackie & Laura - Thanks for the speedy supportive posts as I wobbled.

Thanks to both Vero and Laura for coming to Dec/Jan thread to lend me support.

You girls are wonderful. What woul I do without you.

Had a good cry and slept for a bit, read all of your posts and now feel quite a bit better already.

Got to focus on what I have rather than what I have not got. Glass 1/2 full not half empty!

Sure by tomorrow I'll have recovered all my PMA only to become a jibbering wreck by Thursday. Very positive about acu pre and post transfer. Dh set up as a taxi service to shuttle be all over.

Thank you for everything. Sense that I'll sleep well tonight.
Love Carolyn xxxx

Quick update from me ahead of tomorrow............

Slept so deeply last night as was totally & utterly exhausted. Tummy a bit like a truck went over it this morning but has eased through day. Have a bit of a cold just to add to not feeling 100%. Anyhow some of my PMA is back. Focused on 6 that I do have as you have all told me too. Have acu booked for 8.45am. My dh will take me in the car. Then we'll head to clinic for 10am. Then go from clinic back to acu for a session after transfer. He'll be my chauffeur for the day!!! Then will be chilling out Thursday pm - Fri - Sat and Sunday. Nothing to do during that time at all other than sit around in my PJs, read Hello magazine and watch day time TV!!!

I'll try to post tomorrow even if v briefly if my dh will allow me before he packs me off to bed. A little excited but trying to stay calm as I can.

Hope that all bumps/beanies are doing well. Vero - big hugs.

Love to you all.

Oh honey you are doing so very well..... I know yesterday was a little bit of a shock but you really have the right attitude.. Trust me when I had the one embie I cried for the entire day and than I thought "nope this will be just fine" 6 is a wonderful number and again with all the extra you have done (not working and acc) they will be the tops of their class in quality etc....Let your sweet DH take care of you and just put your feet up and rest.. You will see you will get beautiful results and a big strong BFP very very soon... I am sorry about the cold but again just rest you have been through so much let your body relax..

Love and hugs

Hi

Literally just got back. dh demanding that I go straight to bed. Had to come here first but it is a straight cut and paste from Dec thread so if you have read that then no need to read again.

Thanks so much for the support and well wishes. You are fab.

So acu before hand really chilled me out. Good job as we had to wait almost an hour before saw dr for progress report. 4 from 6 made it. Which based on last time was about the best that we had hoped for. 1 average, 3 good. The good ones were all Grade 2 4 cells. So we asked if we could have them all back as no Grade 1s. Our consultant had said no to 3 when we had asked him. So they made me sign lots of paperwork but they allowed us to do it!! If you don't ask you don't get! Right.

Then we were in the same bed as last time. How spookey is that! When we went into the threatre embryologist said good news. 1 had already divided to 6 cell and other 2 were already 5 cells with one uneven looking like they might be 6 cells v soon. Last time the 2 we had back were both 4 cells at same 2 day stage. So very happy.

DH took me back for 2nd session of acu. They saw me straight away. Main purpose of that session is to calm you down. Pins in ears - how mad is that.

So back at home. Feeling happy that it is done. Happy that they allowed us 3 chances. Happy that they divided more than last time.

Thanks for your support especially when I wobbled. Sure that I wobble again but hopefully in the second week of 2ww.

Hope that you are all well.

Lots of Love

Carolyn
That is such great news.. Your little embies have done so very well.. They are really out to impress mommy and daddy this time? You are for sure getting a big strong BFP.. OOOOH this will become the multiple and natural thread.. So either we fall into the more than one group like (laura,Em,Vessi) or its a natural birth (Dania and I) so for Vero and Carolyn you are both in for one or the other.. Vero I think you are with Dania and I in the natural department as Carolyn will soon be joining the multiple group...
Love and hugs to all

Hi Carolyn!

Well done you! I am so sorry that they couldn't reach all your eggs but getting 3 good ones and putting them all back - well, thats just fantastic news! I am praying for your BFP and hope that its more than one so you get your instant family! You could be our first triplet mum!

How is everyone else?

Had my first obs appointment on wednesday. Nothing much was said or done and I guess I was a little dissapointed. I thought we would discuss the risks of a multiple birth and what he advised as far as Caesar Vs Natural delivery and when would be a good time to finish at work...but he just said "congrats, there's two. Do you want to have Down's testing done?" I see him again just before christmas so I will write a list of questions and bombard him with them!

I did manage to ask if he was any closer to knowing what our problem was and he suggested that even though my tubes were open, the tiny hairs that propell the egg down to the uterus may not work properly. Interesting.

Hugs to you all.

Em - main thing is that they scanned you and both the little beanies are doing well. Sure that there will be time for the other stuff soon.

Vero - hope that you are doing well and looking forward to Xmas.

Jackie, Laura & Dania - Hope that you and your bumps are doing well.

Well madness kicked in for me today. I lasted a week but guess the thought of having to wait another week is doing my head in. I seesaw widely from being v +ve about this attempt to thinking that I don't feel anything at all or anything that I do feel is in my head or due to all the drugs. I feel huge. Like a tank. I did last time and then in a couple of days time went down like a balloon so half of me wants this to go away and the other half wants it to stay! Confirmed insanity already. Time passing v slowly. But you all know what this is like.

Trying to keep busy but walking everywhere really slowly and trying to stay calm.

Hope that you are all doing well.

Take care.
Lots of Love

Carolyn,

The waiting is so hard!!! Are you going to do a hpt this weekend? You know me, I could never wait until the official test date.

I read the Dec/Jan thread every day or two to see how you are doing. That way you only have to post once.

Please know that I am watching and waiting for your BFP next week!

Keep positive Carolyn! That you are still bloated could be a sign of hyperstim which is increased if you are pregnant. This could be great news for you!

Hello lovely ladies
Carolyn oh honey the insanity is normal and you are doing so very well.. You are such a strong lady and you have to remember that like you said the PMA will come and go but do your best to just stay as calm as possible.. I remember after my IVF I kept rubbing my belly and talking to my embie encourging her/him to hang out.. I know it sounds crazy but for me it made me feel better. If you can rub your belly keep it nice and warm and ask your little ones to stay with mommy.. This will work and in a short time you will get your BFP.. Are you cheating and taking a HPT?

Em
My first appointment was like that too. I think after all we have been through we want a little more one on one time or just someone to give us some hand holding. I know I did.. I am glad they scanned you to see your little ones (that is the most important part)

Laura
How are you feeling/doing honey? How are things with DH? Know that we are thinking of you honey..

Vero
Hi honey. Thinking of you sweetie. I hope you are taking care and doing some "VERO only things" you wont have much time as soon as you get your BFP very soon..

Dania
Thinking of you and your bump...

Things are ok here. On Mondy night I had some pain (only one side) and it felt worse than it had in the past. Tuesday it was still there so I ended up going in to the doctor. They checked everything and it was ok. They did not scan but they did the doppler so we could hear the heartbeat. Everything was nice and strong and clear so it was good...

Love and hugs to all

Jackie - Sorry that you had a scare. Must have been very concerning. Glad that they scanned you and all is well

Em - I am less bloated now. Just like last time for me seemed only to last about a week past EC

Laura - Thanks for checking-up on me on Dec-Jan

Dania - Hope that all is well

Vero - Hope that you are enjoying life and getting ready for Xmas.

Massive wobble yesterday. Some red spotting which just sent me off the deep end. I am like - so here we go again. Tried to get back onto a even keel today. Trying to stay occupied but not stressed. Not too hopeful of any different outcome this time though now. I started bleeding last time the equivalent of Saturday so may see that rather than a hpt result first. I shall probably give in to HPT either on Sat or Sun first thing if there is no real bleeding by then as DH will probably play golf so I may be able to go without having to tell him!

I shall keep you all posted. Thank you for cheering me on. Robert Winston programme on UK TV on ivf is currently on. Part 4 this week was all about more mature ladies. Odds are aganist you with age. One lady had 5 attempts between 39 and 41 with no success. That is statistically the number of attempts that I would have to do to achieve success so am already thinking about next steps which will likely be a FET in the New Year followed by a change of clinic as 3 goes at 1 place seems enough.

Anyhow, getting ahead of myself...........

Hugs to you all.
Lots of Love

Carolyn- The red spotting must have been such a scare, but it could be implantation bleeding, which would be a great sign. I got that both times. I have my fingers crossed you will be a postive HPT this weekend!

Jackie- Pain on one side is often round ligament pain. You get it when your uterus is growing and stretching the ligaments in your pelvis. When we have pts with pain on one side, that's our first thought.

Em- I'm sorry your doctor wasn't more warm and fuzzy. You should definitely bring a list of questions next time so you leave with more information.

Vero and Dania- Hope you are both doing really well!

I did the CVS genetic testing last week. Because of my age, I was worried about Down's or another chromosonal disorder. I decided to do the CVS test, as I would rather know at 12 weeks than have to wait until my second trimester and have to make a painful decision then.

I got the results yesterday and the babies are completely normal and boys! I was so shocked. I was convinced they were girls. I hate to say that I am a little disappointed, but I guess I am. These will be our only children and I will never have a little girl to go shopping with or take to ballet recitals. I know I will love the boys so much, but I'm a little sad, though very grateful that there are no genetic problems.

Best wishes, Laura

Laura - How amazing to find out the sex of your twins so early. The main thing is that they are genetically perfect and there are no issues for you to consider. That is truely fantastic news. Two baby boys. How cute.

So of course gave in to HPT as soon as dh went to golf this morning. No hint of a 2nd line for me. Feel pretty numb. I have made so many adjustments this time to try to give myself a better chance. I'll try to hope that AF stays away and that it was early to HPT (9dp2dt) to give me a glimmer of hope.

I know that I'll cycle again in the New Year but 2 fresh cycles & 2 ops this year have certainly taken their toll on me & dh.

Have great weekends. Hugs to you all. Sorry not to be able to post better news........

Lots of Love
