Shantala - 6 vials is great. I read what Bec says that they just need 1 vial per cycle. Think that there will be lots of swimmers per vial. Sounds like really good news for you . I have to go to the clinic on Tuesday. My clinic do a blood test first thing in the morning and then call you around lunchtime with the result

Rachel - yet more shopping! I cannot face going out with the crowds so have been busying getting a last few things for my nephew on e-bay/amazon

Bec - very best of luck for your EC tomorrow. Hope that there are a great number of follies for you. Sounds like you are really busy which will hopefully take your mind off things. Will be thinking of you & willing you on tomorrow

Sonya - sounds like your dogs are really well trained. How are you feeling?

Some spotting for me that looks very much like the start of AF. Exactly same point/day as last ivf so not looking good for me at this stage. I'll keep you all posted and try not to give up until AF is truely here for me.

Hugs to everyone.

SS I am so sorry to hear about your dad sweetie. There are never any words that seem right, so I will pray for the lot of you.

shantala there are many sperm in each straw. If you think about it this way it should make you all happy inside....Everytime a man ejaculates he releases millions of sperm. So they will take the most lively of the straw! I love technical sex!!!!!!

aunty I hope that your party went great and that you let your hair down and had so much fun.

tww's keep it up with the PMA...relax, rest, and lots of laughing!

As for me I am waiting for the birthday party girl to get up and help me clean the house for her party! I am also watching a movie that I think all of you would be interested in. It's the Deidrea Hall Story she has infetility problems and tried every possible form of treatment. She eventually gave up and then years later decided to go with surragocy. She lost everything, he first husband even her best friend. It's a very heart warming story. I am amazed that they even showed the Stimming part....geez that looks painful!!!!!
DH is feeling better he even helped me make Abby's cake!

I hope you all have great weekend, I'll check in on you all throught the day!

Hi ladies!

I am almost embarassed to post here - you all have such a lovely relationships and a a great deal of history between you - even since October when this forum started! I am a few days post ER and am spending the WE relaxing. My ET is on Monday if it happens at all (only 4 have made it so far). In the process of trying to keep myself busy I found this site and have spent many hours reading your comments and advice to each other. I will say - this is my first time doing IVF and I have learned more from you all than I have at all my doctor's visits combined.

On behalf of late joiners - thanks! :)

Welcome Tex

No need to feel embarrased at all. Just pleased that you found us. Better late than never as you say and we will all be able to help you with your 2ww hopefully as well. I would have gone loopey a lot earlier in the year without all the support that I have had from all the terrific ladies on these boards.

Please ask anything that we might be able to help with, as a few of us have been through this before and most of the ladies have seen things before and are always happy to step in and help. Often they know lots more than our consultants especially with the practical advice.

We will be rooting that your 4 embies are good fighters and that they will be back where they belong on Monday. ET is a lot easier and quicker than ER.

You are right to take it easy over the weekend. Take it really easy and they'll be back on board on Monday.

Love
Carolyn xxx

Hello Ladies,

I just got back from my accu appt. I loved it. It was so relaxing!!

I didnt know whay to expect but it went really well. I felt great after. He taught me a couple things to do to increase the blood flow and I made an appt for next Sat too. I might do a package for 16 weeks.

He said that it takes about 3 months and he likes to work with his patient that long but thinks that even though I start in 3 weeks it will still be beneficial. I dont do ER or ET for 5 to 6 weeks from now so I still have some time.

I love the book too!! Called the "Infertility Cure" by Randine Lewis.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Talk soon,
Jackie oxox

Well I am not having a good day.. I went to my e/c this morning first thing they could not get my IV in so 3 tries later and many brusies they got it in. Ahh the joy!
Then I went to surgery and the doctor could not get any of my eggs from the left side.. He apparetnly stopped the surgery and went out to chat with my husband. Asking him if I had taken my trigger shot and if anything happened when I took the shot. Well of course I took my trigger shot and everything was fine. They then decided to review my blood test from the previous day. Turns out my HCG level was a 2 and is supposed to be 150. I was told by the doctor that this has happened only 3 times in his 11 years. I asked why the hell things had got to this point why I went into surgery when they should have reviewed the blood results before this. The doctor said some mistakes had been made and he was very upset.
They are giving me two more inter-muscular shots of Noveral and another round of blood tests and u/s tomorrow morning. They hope to do the e/c Monday morning but they basically told me that they have lost control of my protocol and that it might be to late to collect the eggs.

I'm of course devastated and crying a lot. I am trying to stay positive thinking that the follies just werent ready yet but it is very hard. Things dont look good.

sokru8 - im so sorry but your right on trying to stay positive and keep an open mind i know things seem bad at the minute but things will work out hopefully it wnt be to late and they will be able to retrieve your eggs on mon. Something similar happened to me my follies werent big enough and i didnt have many so everything was put back a couple of weeks and i had to take the shots for longer but i hadnt got to the ET point. Try not to worry and stay positive and my old say again ill keep my toes legs arms fingers ermmm and everything else crossed for you good luck mom

Tex welcome as everyone else had said better late than never hope you find this site as supportive as i have the ladies on here are brill. ILL KEEP YOU IN MY PRAYERS FOR MON

hi to everyone else that ive missed

As for me there is not much to tell at min getting really nervous now as only 24 hrs til hospital appointment with doc to find out were we stand just a question my doc said that because lst year we had 4 tries at IUI n then ICSI IVF i wanted to try IUI again straight after but doc said he rather we didnt as i was on clomid before IUI that to much clomid can cause risk of cancer so he wanted to take a year out. Well now the year is up will it be ok to try IUI again ? i think it will be well out of my system now just im scared he will say no and that would leave us no where as we cnt afford to pay for IVF got 1st go free on NHS. Will be greatful if anyone can give advice.

good nite for now ladies
