Low follicle growth, IVF canceled

Post by ldonvito »

Hi, I would appreciate any feedback from people who have been in the small place. I found out this morning that my first try at IVF is going to be canceled due to low follicle count. When I asked my doctor how soon we can try again, she surprised me by saying she had me on the strongest drug protocal and didn't think she would have me try again. I was shocked. My bloods are great, FSH low, and 40 and healthly. I don't plan to stop, I've already begun researching other facilities. Has anyone else had the same experience?
Thanks

hai. I know how it feels. I have been going through this. They said i was responding for the medications. I am also on my first cycle. i developed only three follicles. They asked me if i want to quit. I said no and wanted to give a chance. They tried menogan 12 amp a day. i took it as two shoots a day. atlast on my er i produced only 7 cells of which only 1 fertilized and transferred. i know my chances are less but still waiting for some miracle. dont know what to do. dont worry sometime it happens. i will pray for ou. bye.

Hi Madhusri, thanks for the reply and best wishes. I will say a prayer for you as well. My follicles have shown some improvement so they are keeping me on the drugs two more days. It looks like I will have enough to retrieve...and I am hoping for at least three good eggs. Hang in there, this is truely a roller coaster. I am going through this alone, up to three shots a day. Keep your eye on the end picture!
