Hello Ladies:

My appt. went well yesterday. I had the glucose test and will get results next week. I measured on the large side at 31 weeks, even though I'm only ~29 weeks. I don't know if that means I will be early or if it means that Andrew will be a big baby. He is very active now. He kicks and moves from side to side.

Jo: Congrats again on the birth of Ellie!! Take care of yourself.

Hayley: Good news on your scan. Both babies are a good size.

Aunty: We would love to have you join us on this side of the board. Have a wonderful Christmas and happy holidays.

Kareen: I feel your pain. My bump has gotten extremely heavy! He seems to be riding lower. I will get the results of my glucose test next week. I hope everything is ok.

Justine: Congrats on making it to 36 weeks. One more week and you will be considered full term.

Vita: Nice to hear from you. I hope that you are doing well.

Zoe: You are next in line to deliver.

Have a wonderful weekend,
Tammy

Thank you all for your well wishes. I'm back home now. It's really hard coming home without her and I'm very very tearful. Still numb. I haven't been able to tell my mum yet as she was in Spain this week but due home tonight.

Didn't get chance to tell you why it happened. Those internet phones at the hospital are tiny to use!

I went to hospital last Sunday as I'm a bit of a hypocontract and Ellie hadn't been as active has she usually is. I thought I would be put on the monitor then sent home half hour later. They did a blood test (as they noticed I was rubbing my belly a little as I was a bit uncomfortable - not enough to mention), my urik acid (think that's what it's called) was sky high which indicates pre-eclampsia, my blood pressure was slightly raised but nothing worrying, I also didn't have any protein. I was kept in over night and had a scan at 12 the following day.

On the scan the doppler was going up down, then stopping, up down then stopping. The woman didn't really talk to me and was really offish. I went back to my bed and within 5 minutes the consultant was there telling me that the baby had to be delivered and I had to be transferred to a hospital who would deliver a baby under 28 weeks.

She was like a little time bomb waiting to go off. Do you keep her in to help her develop and risk a stillborn or do you deliver and risk a neonatal death? In my eyes if she stopped beating inside me there was nothing they could do but if it happened outside then there was a chance. I was rushed to London's Paddington Hospital by blue flashing lights and sierens - all very scary. I got there at 7pm and she was delivered at 9.38pm. Apparently the placenta didn't look very healthy so we made the right choice, she wouldn't have survived much longer inside me.

She is doing really well. We have to take each day at a time. They have moved her off the life support and she is now on SIPAP. I'm expressing so she is getting my milk, well all 2mls of what they are feeding her! There is a long road ahead which is going to be very bumpy. When she's strong enough they will move her to the hospital in Harlow but until then I am going to go to London every day - takes about 2-3 hours door to door.

I'm very weepy and can't believe this has happened. I've recovered really well from the section I just need to recover emotionally - it will take time.

Ladies go with your insticts. If you feel something just doesn't seem right then go and get it checked out. If I didn't then I would haven't Ellie now.

I will catch up with you all next week. I'm feeling pretty exhausted and overwhelmed by everything. I'm glad you are all doing good with your babies.

Thinking of you all loads. Lots of love to you

Jo

Hello Ladies!!!!!!!

Justine - you guessed it        That's the only thing that would keep me away!!! You must be almost 37 weeks now - well done!!! Hope you managed to get over your confusion at the PO!! LOLz

I've posted all the details on a seperate thread my friends....

To cut a long story very short - wee Ollie is finally here. Arrived very quickly, 5lb 13oz - so a bit smaller than I thought he was going to be.

Apparently he was so high as the cord was tucked up above him so he sat high until he was ready... We're home now after a weee stint in hospital and trying to get into some sort of routine.... Fat chance

How are all you ladies - Kareen - I see you pm'd me - I will reply I promise. Have been overdoing thing since I got home - going out etc thinking I was fine, so now my stitches are bothered me and I'm trying to do nothing... BUT HEY, I thought I was finished my Christmas shopping    How are you????

Tammy - glad things are going well. Hope the glucose test is a good result... Bet you're glad the kicking has set in. LOL

Hayley - wow - 30 weeks already - and what great sizes!!! You're feeding them well. LOL Take care.

Debz - Good to see you here. Hope you are well and taking care of yourself...

Jo - I've posted on the other thread to you - take care, my friend and don't try and do too much - it'll help no-one. Wee Ellie is a strong one and she sounds like she's making good progress...

To everyone else - hope you are all well.

Take care
Zoe and Ollie xx

Zoe:

Congrats on the birth of little Ollie! It is good to hear that you both are home from the hospital and are settling in.

Justine:

You are next in line! Maybe your little bundle of joy will wait until after Christmas.

Take care all,
Tammy
