Shantala---Pretty postings:) To answer your question from like 5 pages ago (man, this thread moves fast even when it is down for a whole day--that sucked, huh?) a chemical pregnancy is when for some reason you test positive for the hormone on your beta test but you're not really pregnant. So that first day I had an inital level of 10, then 12 but then the third time there was none.

It sucks, as so much of this process does. But there are some really great things about this roller coaster too. I don't think my husband and I have ever been closer. And man, an I going to love and appreaciate the poop out of my baby when I finally get her/him!!!!!

TC---I'm so sorry she was rude to you. That's so rotten. And don't worry about him not attending the meeting--There were lots of people at my meeting without significant other. You'll be great!

Damn this site was down a long time and I'm still having issues posting. I can't believe how much I missed reading up on everybody.

Had my ET yesterday. 4 embies put back. All were either 7 or 8 cell and grades 1 and 2. Not bad for an old lady! Go for my Beta HCG next Wed. 12/20 which is sooner than I thought, but I'm not complaining. If the remaining 3 embies make it over the next 2 days, they'll freeze them.

Carolyn... so sorry about your BFN. Prayers your way for a new year and new beginnings.

TC.... Shame on that nurse, people in this field should have more compassion. My husband didn't go for the shot lesson, I showed him what to do and he does just fine. (former military too!)

Ange - Welcome. 4 embies bedding down. That is great numbers for those of us over 40. Sounds like a BFP coming up!!! On the sex issue, my Dr. ordered sex 3 days prior and then none for 2 ww. DH was also disappointed.

Fed - Good for you - finishing all your Christmas shopping. I haven't bought the first thing yet. Working on my lists, but getting a late start this year. I jealous.

Meg12 - My Dr. specifically asked me to stay on the prenatals (prescription) and the baby aspirin - even through all the IUIs. He said Folic Acid is v good before you get pregnant. I am currently taking a prescription prenatal that is one HUGE capsule in the morning and a big tablet at night.

Mom - Good news about another try. Time will fly by. They sell prenatal vitamins over the counter in stores here in the US. Not sure where you are from.

Jemima - So v sorry to hear about your SIL. That is so sudden. I can see why the family is in shock. My prayers go out to you all.

Saxony - Welcome. This is a wonderful place to share anything and everything. Wonderful people.

Christine - We had to sign a bunch of papers during IVF teaching (shot class). Best friend took her mother and had to take the papers home for DH to sign and then fax back to the office. I'm sure they don't all work the same.

AF is one day late, but still on schedule. I was trying to work out my training schedule (I teach at a large industry) for January today and was trying to work around the approximate dates for BW/US and EC and ET next month, and one guy has the nerve to tell me to just put it off until the next month - we need you. I tried to stay as composed as possible when I told him "I don't think so!"

Have any of you ever tried AcuLaser? It is the same pressure points but with electrical current and laser light. Just curious?
