Forgot to take progesterone on first day of implantation

Post by KBinParis »

I have undergone my first IVF treatment. The implantation of the embryos was conducted yesterday which was when I was supposed to take my first dose of 400 mg of progeserone (orally) before bedtime. Unfortunately, I forgot to take it so I took 200 mg this morning and will take another 200 mg tonight. Have I ruined the chances of the embryo/s attaching to the uterine wall? I would be most grateful for any views on this as I am quite worried this being my first time.

I don't know if this is relevant but neither my husband nor I have any obvious problems, just haven't been able to conceive despite having tried for over two years. I am 39 and he is 43.

KBinParis - I know this may not be at all helpful but I have firgotten so much this cyle, I was late and forgot buserilin, the Gonal-F, and have forgotten a few progestorone supps and crinone pessaries!!! :? I am soooo scatty, and welll, so far so good!!! Good Luck!!! I am sure it will not have caused ou any reason for concern, I really would not worry, there is no point in worrying over thing which we have no control over and thing which are now in the past, this is the one time in your life you have to be real positive, more positive than you have ever been!!!

Thanks for the reassurance Angellica. You're pregnant, congratulations! So glad you have achieved success at last.

I test in 5 days. I have no idea of what to expect frankly. I find it really impossible to believe that there is a possibility that I might be pregnant :)

It seems like my response did not get posted yesterday. Anyway, it was just to say that I am amazed at you, your generosity and the strength of your eggs! Good going!

You have age on your side which is great. Despite extensive tests, they did not find anything the matter with either my DP or me. However, I"m 39 and he's 43 so that might be the hold-up.

Another four days to go before I test on Tuesday.
