Really scared because of bleeding & need inspiration pls

Hi Girls,

I am so upset and nervous because I suddenly started bleeding yesterday morning at about 10.00 am and it stopped yesterday night. I am on my 4th week now and was looking forward to my 1st scan on the 20th of Dec. I had some bleeding on my 3rd week as well and the nurse said that it must have been because of implantation because it was not too heavy and it lasted for 1/2 day.

I have been cyring so much since yeaterday as I am so scared. Yesterday, I also noticed that I had few clots and I am hoping that this could be because of the excess lining. The nurse at the hospital said that I should come in only if I have to change my pad every 10 mins. I changed mine 3 times yesterday. She has asked me to come in for the scan as planned on the 20th.

Have any of you experienced this ? I unable to stop cyring but my DH and mother are aksing me to keep positive. I am just hoping for a miracle.

Hi Sita,

I am sorry you have to go through so much worries.

I cannot help, but really hope that you will be ok. I guess your nurse did not suggest to go for you scan earlier because it would be impossible to see anything??

Keep positive.I'm sure all your prayers will get you through this.
I dont know about the amount of bleeding, but did have scares all thru my 1st tri- once i had to change a pad and then i shifted to panty lines- sorry if tmi!
Is the bleeding bright red? Stay in bed in that case.
They never could find a reason for why i bled- and yes, even i had clots on 2 occasions.I know its worrying to say the least, but it will all work out.
I will keep everything crossed for you and your baby.

i have hade 4 or 5 bleeding episods and i even had cramping and blood clots and it lasted for afew hours but then i foundout it was notthing important.my dr always tell me to think positive .
by the way i am 13 weeks now and my baby is fine so please don't worry.

Thank you so much for the PMA Yogi, Smita and Souris !! I really need it as I have been so upset and have been cyring.

Smita, my period lasted 3/4 of a day yesterday and it was red. Today there was a very slight brownish discharge and then it stopped again.

Smita, I am curious. What are the implications of the bleeding being bright red ? I am slightly nervous.

Today is my father's 2nd death anniversary and I was praying for him and also asking God to give me the strength to bear anything. I am trying to be positive and hope that my 1st scan will be OK.

From what I have heard from my doctor and read, red bleeding is fresh- blood- from a recent rupture of blood vessel as opposed to brown blood which could be from blood left over from previous linings or cycles.
Which is why i used to be terrified when i had clots or red blood( on 2 occasions only) I was put on blood thinning injections to avoid future incidences- plus i was on baby aspirin all thru.
you could check with your doctor about that.

Thank you so much for the info.

I am going for my 1st scan tomorrow and I am so excited. My bleeding stopped last Friday but I have slight spotting on and off since yesterday. This was a worry but the more I read, it seems normal. I shall clarify with my Doc tomorrow as well.

Did you continue with progesterone (CYCLOGEST) two times a day and also have Progynova (OESTROGEN) 2 mg -3 times a day until your first scan ? Please advise. I am wondering whether the bleeding is caused by continuing this ?

Would appreciate your views.

Generally they have them continue on progestrone and Estrogen for about 10-12 weeks till your body produces enough on their own.

Thinking of you today at your scan.
About the progesterone, I continued until my 1st tri and i wasnt on oestrogen- that is usually taken during a FET if i'm not wrong- to help with lining etc.
