Vicky,

I am so very sorry. I wish there was something I could say to make this easier and make the pain less for you and your DH. But I know that I can not. Just know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers and if there is anything you need . . support, or just someone to vent to or cry to we are all here for you.

Vicky I am so very sorry! I can't imagine the pain you must be feeling. Has the doctor offered any type of information as to what could have caused this or if anything can be done?

My prayers are with you!

Thank you girls for your thoughts.....

Cowgirl, they said most probably it was a genetic problem, which is the most common cause of early m/c, they said that in a normal pregnancy (not ivf) they would wait 3 m/c's o do the work up, but it this case they will do it now and not wait, so they will do the chromosomic study to me and DH, and other studies to see what is going on....

The worst part as I said is the fact that this is not even over yet, they say there is no hope at all, but the baby still have a flicker (HB) so they cannot do the D & C, and I have to keep waiting, so I cannot even put closure to this. It is so devastating....

Vicky

I am so very sorry for you. My heart goes out to you and your DH. I know how truely devestating a m/c can be, but I truely sympathize with you because mine were over before we found out they were not viable. I pray for you and your next moves. I wish there was more I could do to console you.

All

We went in today and the baby is on track. The heartbeat was a strong 156 and the baby's growth was right on target. Now comes the two week wait for the results of the nuchal. However the us tech told us everything looked normal to her so we could rest at ease for the holiday's. I was shocked to see I had gained three pounds since two weeks ago so now I am back to my diet!!!!!! No sweets or extra helpings here! I hope everyone is doing well. God bless everyone!

cmoscar, Can I inquire about a couple things from your scans? I went back searching your posts and I seen where you last scan the HB was like 176 and this one was 156. Did they tell you that is pretty normal to go down in the second trimester? I am STILL waiting from a call from the doc, after looking at my last US. As you might recall my babies HB went from normally 160 to 143. I only knew that because I could see the screen when she measured it. She was not allowed to provide any information on the growth or size of the baby. I am sure everything is fine but I am a worry wart! I am pretty sure in the evenings I have even been feeling the baby move :-)

I just wish the doc would call me :-)

Some OB clinics are better at some things then others. I got my nuchal scan results back in 3 days but I can't freaking get ultrasound results for 2 weeks! UGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG

Hope everyone is doing well. Sorry I have been so busy to keep up with the personals, but I read everyday and pray for all of us!

God Bless Everyone!

as for us.... i''m going into the Dr today, my appointment is not until next friday, but yesterday i had some high blood pressure(165/99) and headache.. i normally get high blood pressure during pregnancy, but never this early.. so i do not know what the doc is going to do... my pressure is back down to normal today(112/78), but i do not know what damamge HBP can do to the baby, or what i have to do next time it happens... it was just scary... all i could do was lay down and rest hoping that it would go down...

Cowgirlclass - The U/S Tech told me today that the HB needs to be bewteen 110 - 180. When they did the previous u/s that worried them, the HB was 115 and the baby was active. This time the HB was 156 and they are very happy with it.

Thook - I am thrilled to see you are doing much better. You have reached the second trimester and should have smooth sailing from here on out!

Crasmus - I hope you continue to feel better. As far aas the HBP, there are medications they can give you if the BP is high enough, but they generally reserve this for women with consistant HBP. I hope everything works out. Keep us posted

As for the rest of you, I pray for your safety and happiness. The holidays are almost here and things are ever so busy, but I hope you will all find time to enjoy your loved ones during this precious time of year.

Vicky....I'm sooo soo sorry to hear your news. I've been thinking about you all day, and I was hoping for a better report. Take care of yourself during this time. I'll be thinking of you. I hope you will try again. You will make a wonderful mother to some lucky babies one day!

jsm7502--Holy Cow! You're a first grade teacher? So am I! I know EXACTLY how you feel. Those little ones just suck your energy all day long....whether your nauseus or not. My students are excited to know I'm having twins....they think it's pretty cool!

cmoscar--I'm glad your checkup went well. Sounds like a very strong baby in there! I don't know how you could possibly diet right now...where do you find the willpower? I used to be so good, but not so much anymore... :?

Colleen--Hope your BP is better. Keep us posted!

Tasha--Glad you're feeling better. I'm still dealing with nausea...ugh.

Nance--I see you're at the 12 week mark! Yeah! Are you going to share your news with everyone now? Have you bought the baby a gift yet?

Hope everyone else is doing well. I"m off to walk the dog and then nap......

Cowgirlclass,

Don't worry about your baby's heartrate, it is perfectly normal. Mine were in the 170-180's at 7-11 weeks and are now in the 150-160's at 14 wks. A baby's heartrate keeps dropping during your pregnancy until is it close to 120 at delivery. In fact, a heartrate that stays near 180 after the first trimester can be a sign of problems.

I had my 14 week scan today and the babies are already fighting! They are in the same sac, so they are right next to each other. You could see baby A kick baby B and then then baby B hit baby A. It was hilarious!

I had the cvs test done several weeks ago and found out that they are genetically normal little boys. I was so sure they would be girls, but after seeing them beat on each other, I'm not surprised they are boys.

They are both measuring 13wks 6days which is great as they started out a little small. My doctor said I would probably have to stop working at 24 or 28 weeks. She said with twins, that is when most women's cervix starts to shorten. I was hoping to go a lot longer than that.

Sorry to be rambling, but I'm getting really excited. The babies are starting to seem real!

Laura--Great news on your identical twins! That must have been hilarious to see them kickboxing in your uterus. How funny! Glad to hear your CVS tests went well. It must be nice to know that everything's ok. That's interesting about your doc's info on stopping work at 24-28 weeks. I hope to go longer than that too. We'll see about that....

Good luck!

Laura, how exciting! That is so neat you could see that. Hey have you entertained the idea of having a 4D scan done. They are really not that exspensive and I bet it would be so COOL see that! :-) I have entertained the idea but we do not want to find out the baby's gender before hand, so I think we will pass. Thanks for the info also on the FHR. I am sure you are right. It is just agravating having an US and not getting any results for 3 weeks. :-(

Crasmus- I thought of you when I read information form LauraLou on the spring babies, you might find some other experiences by reading about HBP. :-) Hope you feel better and are able to stay relaxed :-)

JSM7502- I think I missed welcoming you!!!!!!!!!!!!! WELCOME and BIG Congrats on the twins!

Hope everyone else is doing well!

Take care and Happy Holidays!
