Thank you so much for posting. I know it was difficult. I said a prayer for you and Ellie and I wanted to log on this morning to see if you had posted. I'm glad to hear that you have recovered well physically. It sounds like little Elllie is a fighter and I will keep praying that she gets stronger every day. Thank God, you went to the hospital when you did.
Please keep us posted and take care.
Best regards,
Tammy

First of all, WELL DONE MUMMY! You have your precious wee Ellie with you, albeit not at the time you want. It sounds like she is a wee fighter like her mum and I'd say that 2mls of milk sounds great at this stage.
Having had Sam at 33 weeks I can understand a LITTLE of what you are going through. It's very difficult not having them with you, but let those tears come girl - if you bottle them in, it'll be worse. Remember too, you'll be tired with the travelling and your hormones will be playing havoc. It's fantastic that she's off life support - it's just shows her strength.
Take care my friend, look after yourself as that wee girlie is going to need your strength when she comes home with you soon.
Thinking of you both and praying that wee Ellie continues to progress.

Thank you for all your lovely messages and well wishes, it means a lot.
Ellie is doing good. We had a really scary day on Saturday, we thought we were going to lose her, she was really poorly and put back on the ventilator, her feeds were stopped as her bowel was so distended and close to perforating, she had a couple of infections. She had NEC (which sadly the two other ladies I was on the ward with lost their babies last week as they developed NEC) but she's a little fighter and pulled through.
I went to see her yesterday (I'm going every other day) and she looked great. She was taken off the ventilator yesterday morning and is now on CPAP (the one lower than the one before). She is only requiring 23% oxygen now (she was on 50% on Sunday). She's had to have a blood transfusion most days but that is quite normal for premature babies.
She now weighs 940g although this does include her canula and her CPAP mask but they don't weigh much and it means she hasn't lost any which is great considering how ill she's been. Her feeds were reintroduced and she's now on 2.5mls every hour. I'm still expressing and taking the milk down there.
I got a bladder infection last Thursday which by Saturday had moved up to my kidney. I was rushed to hospital Saturday night as I was in so much pain they thought I had stones but thankfully the x-ray was clear. I've never been in so much pain in my life - labour is a doddle compared to that! All has settled down now.
Best go and express some more.
Take care ladies and I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas.
Jo

Thanks so much for posting, eventhough you are very busy. I have been worried about you and your little lamb. Thank God, Ellie pulled through last Saturday. You are such a strong person and I'm sure that Ellie took after you. How big does Ellie need to be before they transfer her to a hospital closer to your home?
I'm sorry to hear that you developed a bladder infection. I'm glad to hear that you are feeling better now.
Take care,
Tammy

The hospital phoned about 20 minutes ago. They are looking at transferring her tomorrow which is great. Paul phoned about an hour ago and they said her tummy is a little distended so they are keeping an eye on it. I mentioned this but she said the doctors are happy for her to move but things can just change in a matter of moments but as it stands now she is going tomorrow.
We were told she would have to make it to a kilo before they moved her but obviously they are pleased with her and Harlow are happy to accept her. We do have some pictures on the camera, as soon as Paul has downloaded them I will post one on photobucket. Her head is the size of an apple and her eyes are the size of peas! Not quite the 12lb baby we thought we were going to have!
I hope all is well with you and little Andrew. Looking forward to reading about your scan tomorrow.
Take care
