Ange: doing your second test tomorrow...! In the morning, I hope? I'm with you in thoughts and I'll be jumping up and down until I get the news! One more night hon, hang on!

mom: I'm really sorry about what happened with the job... it's always a disappointement, and it's demanding to keep trying, but babyblue is right; there *is* something for you out there, it's just logical. Go girl! And LOL I do feel fat each and every time AF visits... and then I miraculously lose weight a week later! Have fun partying dear!

Tex: Oooooh no... HPT not telling you want you want to see! Sweetie, I absolutely cannot blame you for giving in and checking anyway. I'll be in the exact same dilemma in a little more than a month, I understand perfectly that you wanted to have a clue... Ah, well, try to take it as horoscopes: believe it if it says what you want to hear, and if not, tell yourself it's completely unreliable anyway. I know that it might be tempting to prepare yourself mentally for a BFN now, but please try keeping the PMA! Your little embies need your positive thoughts to hang in there and grow! Keep us posted dear!

Vicky, Lara and Ems: yes, AF LOVES to play tricks on you when you're about to start a cycle, I understand what you're going through! Let me join the group jig!

Lisa Welcome! I'm sure you'll like it here; it's a wonderful place to get support and just to vent... and babble about IVF and babies at will without annoying your friends or DH!

Angie You're SO lucky!!! Can I sneak into your luggage? Have a great trip sweetie, and we'll be looking forward to see you on the 30th! We'll take good care of the girls while you're gone!

hopeful you are SO right! Without becoming totally materialist, we DO pay them an awful lot of money and deserve a good service and kind attitude. I'll definitely keep that in mind...

I cooked pratically ALL day for Xmas gifts and Yule feast... my back hurts! But DH started his holidays yesterday evening, and I had the day off (yippee!). One day tomorrow at the hospital and I'll FINALLY stop working too until Jan 3rd (except one day on the 29th... hospital... no choice)! BOY will that feel great!

Take care ladies, and for you who are sick, I hope you get better soon! And I hope you take EVERY occasion to be pampered by your DHs!

And just a quick question... what's "stimmin" exactly? Is it the "fake menopause" phase?

Hi Sophie,

I think stimming is when you are stimulating the ovaries to produce follicles and mature eggs. The 'fake' menopause is called down-regging. Again these are guesses, any of you women out there feel free to correct me.

My appt. tomorrow is first thing in the am. Dr's office is only open 1/2 day, but they promised me results before they left for the long weekend.

Tex...I confess, I also did a hpt this morning and promised myself I wouldn't. It was neg. and then I was so mad at myself for doing it. Trying to convince myself it's just too early to tell. Trying to keep the PMA, but it's definitely a challenge after seeing that test and also having bad cramps and grumpy mood. Almost feels like AF is coming for me. UGH! Any other 2WW'ers having similiar symptoms?

Angie... have a wonderful holiday, it sounds magnificent!

ok Ange Tex tut tut tut like i said before (i wish i could remember her name) there was a lady i saw with my own eyes do a HPT on the morning of her Beta it came out -ive she got a +ive on her blood test did more HPT's after getting her +ive and still came back -ive so hpt's are not reliable i reafuse to listen to a HPT ...keep up the PMA

Sophie no sorry its me being lazy...stimming is short for stimulation its the egg food part of your cycle its when your taking the stimulating meds to produce your eggs...the down regging (aka having warm moments) is the fake menopause part of your cycle i say down regging its actually surpression of your hormones bring you to a complete stop so the clinic has full controll of your cycle

Tex good luck today dont believe everything you read on hpt's come on positive thinking i'm keeping everything crossed for you .
Ange i hope that you get a lovley christmas pressie today a BFP i know i did a hpt the on my last cycle and got a neg but a positive from the beta (even though mine decided not to stay) so i really hoping that you get your wish today .
Angie have a great time away hope you come back refreshed for 2007 when we will get our dreams and wishes come true .
Carolyn have a great time realxing and getting pampered and when you get back you will be lovley relaxed and ready to go again .

Aunty, the board is looking smashing! Can't wait to see all those BFP's on there; our FGM (Becky) will certainly be a busy little bee!

As for me I have lost my voice today. Guess Dh lucks out since I cannot yell at him! LOL. I have decided to be adventurous this year and do my xmas shopping on xmas eve night!!!!! Ok, I'm not adventurous just crazy! Tomorrow, I am going to pick up my grandma, who lives 4 hours away, so I'll be out most of the day, but I will check on all of you today and when I return.

Erin: I know how intimidating those needles can be! Most of the shots are so small that it dosent hurt much at all! This is the one time in my life that I have been thankful for a little belly fat!! You will get through it! Just remember use ice beffore the inter-muscle shots and you wont feel a thing!

Babyblue: What a sweet gift from your coworker! My boss is scared that I will have 3 babies and not come back to work! I said bring it on baby!

Well I am pretty much off until after Christmas! Woo Hoo. I am dog sitting for my parents and we have 5 dogs in the house!! My dh and I have 3 dogs and my parents have 2 so we are one big happy family this weekend! I have a daschund and so does my mom. So every night I have a weiner dog on either side of me! I love dogs and dogs love me so I am the pied piper of 5 dogs right now! God forbid I stop fast or turn and go in a different direction it becomes a dog jam! Why cant just one of them follow my DH? LOL
I am finally done all my shopping and even have everything wrapped! Just trying to keep myself busy so this 2ww goes a little faster!!

Hi everyone! I ma off to the doctor's office for my blodd test. Ange - I have the exact same symptoms and am scolding myself for doing the hpt. It really did not help with the wait (everyone please feel free to learn from my expereince!!) I wish I would have listened to Aunty and all the rest of you. WHy do we sometimes feel we have to learn the hard way??

Anyway! I'll try and post right before I leave for the holidays later today. I hope I get resutls before I leave!!

Christine - hope you get your voice back! You need to be able to sing all those Christmas carols etc. (as well as yell at DH or whoever the heck you feel could use it!!)

Babyblue - I so agree the meds are overwhelming! THey freaked me out at first. You kinda get used to it all though.
