Hi Girlies!

Jens- well, if you demand.. I shall reply! Yowza, I don't want any trouble with you sista hood. So glad your party was a blast and you could party like you are a young pup again.. I haven't done that in FOREVER! Oh to have alcohol tolerance again... I guess that goes when college is over? that and being able to sleep until 1 in the afternoon...

I have a babes update... Faith is still breech, which means my c-section has been scheduled for January 3rd!! I can't believe it.. I am going to finally get to see her in 2 weeks! I am hoping with the holidays that these next 2 weeks go quickly.. the worrying that the other shoe is going to drop has not gone away and I am sure won't until I see her and hear her screaming... the most beautiful sound in the world. I told my hubby I didn't want an audience in the room when I come back from recovery, but he said he wants people there in case something happens. I told my one friend this, who got pregnant the first month with both of her kids and had scheduled c-sections.. her reply was.. what does he think is going to happen? .... so I guess that is another way we, the fertiltiy challenged, are different the knock me up in 2 seconds crew.. We always assume the worst and pray constantly for the best. They assume everything will be fine...

So anyhow.. I am so excited thinking about her being here in 2 weeks.. but always in the back of my mind is a voice saying.. don't get too excited yet! Is that crazy? why am I worrying? everything has been great so far... So, trying to relax and be one of those "assume everything will be fine" people! We have come this far.....

Loos- are you in NYC? I hope you weren't hoping for snow.. no such luck! the weather has been crazy here on the east coast.. record breaking temps.. but finally a little chilly today! Hoorah.. I like cold. doesn't feel like Christmas without it!

Walshy- whats uppy? stuck on the treadmill?

Littles- isn't that work finished yet? we need cycle news!

Camilla- hows baby?

Well, I guess I should start to work. I have a week and a half to wrap some things up before I go on maternity leave... 11- 12 weeks.

Winks

Hey there... well..the course is finally over... and I have been ill in the meantime

I am back now but I imagine that you are all gone...

YIPPEE.... I have just read Steph's great news... INCREDIBLE 3 January...excellent. All extremities crossed that everything will go super smoothly and we will get to meet Faith "virtually" very very soon. This is such exciting news...I will be thinking of you both on your big day. Take care and have "faith"! Awww...

Lola... have a fabulous time in NYC... enjoy the cold and the beautiful tree at Rockerfeller... DH is returning home from there tonight and hopefully he has bought some great gifts... I have bought none  Going this afternoon but have NO idea what to buy him. You take care of yourself and enjoy your time with DH....carpe diem, girl!!!

Camilla... hope all is well and you're enjoying your first Xmas as four

Jen, love... can't believe you will be cycling with Walshy all very soon. Great way to start 2007  You're so strong, love. Try and enjoy your Xmas...I'll be thinking about you.

Walshy... would love to have a chat next year... now am freer and will be online most days. Just give me a shout if you see me. Trust you're having fun!

Well, dearest Octopals, another year has gone by and I am really glad that I got to spend the rough times with you. You're the best and I would have gone insane without you all. So a huge THANK YOU for always being there for me. Sorry that I have been "absent" these past months....I hope you can forgive me.

I say bring on 2007....

As for my cycle.. well, all seems to be going well and I may be up for ET by the end of the month  ... I can't believe it... of course a lot can go wrong before then (infection, embryos don't make it), but you never know. I will definitely keep you posted even if none of you are around.
I'm going probably for my final scan tomorrow morning (24th) and then hopefully I'll get a date for the ET.

Thank you for being my friends.... have a very MERRY XMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Much love from the desert,

Littles

Hi Boo-bas!

Don't eat too much pie.... pffff. I did not eat pie, but made up for it with cakes, cookies, chocolates.... am going to have so much weight to lose! but, in the words of the great Scarlet.. I won't think about it today, I'll think about it tommorrow.. afterall, tommorrow is another day. Favorite line ever and favorite motto to live by. AKA, the "sweep it under the rug" syndrome.

Alas, Christmas is over, as proven by the fact that I am back at work today.. am the only one in my entire division back at work. I think I have seen maybe ten people in the entire building and the city is eerily quiet. I guess everyone else is taking time off and enjoying the holidays. BUT, I need to save my time off for babes... This is my last week of work for 3 months!!! yahoo.

Jen- away for a little mom time.. very nice. Mommys make everything better! especially if they bake and shower you with mom attention... what can I get you dear? ... gotta luv the moms.

Loo's- are you in NYC? hmmm.... I hope yuu didn't come expecting snow.. no such luck. I was just having a conversation with someone who's wife works at a ski resort and they are expecting to lose $100,000 during this week because there is no snow and it is not even cold enough to make it. Where have our winters gone? although it did flurry at my house for about 2.2 seconds on Christmas.. then turned immediately to rain.. I dreaming of a rainy christmas.. i think not!

Littles- yowza pete! cycling a go-go. yippee for Littles! plus finished course work.. sounds like a bang up start to a bang up new year if you ask me! Did you get a date for ET then? how about the christmas presents? did hubby deliver?

Walshy- it is time to put down the sun and beers and check in!

Okey dokey smokeys....

Hello Steph.... you must be getting so excited.... writing mainly to you as you're the only one in the office
At least you have something GREAT to look forward to so v e r y soon. I can't actually believe the stork is coming next week

We had a great Xmas... the only downside....our computer has crashed and I am not really sure how to fix it... for the moment, I am using a temporary internet connection, but I know that once I start fiddling with the machine, I'll lose everything
Anyway, just to say that I probably won't be online for a while if I don't have a connection!

My big day is the 31st... normally ET (if the embies decide to thaw nicely) takes places at 11am. Luckily DH is around that day but leaves before midnight and returns on 3 January. I have made friends with the neighbour downstairs and she has very kindly said that she would help me if I needed a hand. Dr said I should be in bed the first 2 days after ET...then I can be mobile....we shall see....there are a lot of "ifs" yet.... but I am hopeful.

Yes, relieved that studies are over but now have to get a plan in place for 2007 so I don't end up depressed because I have no goal

Hope you are all enjoying your holidays... I'll try and get back online as soon as possible but not sure whether the machine will be easily fixed or not.

If you don't hear from me you will know why...

Thinking of you all,

Much much love,

Littles

 Yyyyiiipppppppeeee Chrimbo is over
Oh how boring am i eh. Had mum round today and she is telling her friends it has not been the same as normal this year as me and dh are unhappy  Didnt say that, just want to have a wee one to open pressies with and get excited about. Its amazing how i feel i'm being a pain in the butt and i never even discuss the ivf unless anyone asks me about it. Felt mad but she left soon after  ohh is this the time to be merry hahahaha

So Steph the excitement must be killing you. It must feel great to know you are going to finally meet up with your little Faith after all this struggle---oh how i hope we can all have the same one day soon.
My friends friend had her baby yesterday after 10 years and 5 ivf's she got pregnant naturally. I feel happy for them as they have been through so much and deserve every second of the happiness. Don't you work too hard.

Little - Good to hear from you babe. Can't believe ET is here already. I am having friends over on the 30th for a few wee drams as they say here in Scotland but the 31st is staying in night with mum visiting so i will be around to hear all the details. Everything will be crossed for you

Loops - Bet your having a blast and spending far too much money and quite right too.

Walshy - How the sun  i want to be cosy and warm. Did your Christmas go ok, must be weird in the sun.

Well i finally finished work yesterday and now have 7 days off. Got up this morning and went for a run, am getting better and feel so much healthier.
Dare i say it but i actually feel a bit relaxed at the moment and not as stressed out as i did, but hey the ivf starts again in Feb so stress levels with be sky high again

Ok off to chill, catch you soon

Welcome to 2007 the year of the Octos...........

OMG it is the 4th today so Faith will be here... I wonder how Steph is going. I hope that it is everything that it is cracked upt to be and that Steph, Faith and her DH are enjoying being a family. I am so happy that her dreams have finally come true....

Littles I hope that your next with the BFP. How are you going through your 2ww. Remember to think positive and this has to work for us someday. Can you believe we are still here trying to get our BFP's. We will succeed.

Jen - I hope your flu has gone and you are feeling much better. Did your Doc fix you up for drugs to make you feel normal again? There is nothing worse then getting the flu. It is nice and warm over here so I am sending you some rays of sunlight to take away the cold and help you get better. When are you cycling again?

Lola I hope your enjoying your time in New York...Also when are you cycling again..........

Well I have taken provera a week ago and am now waiting for AF to show up to then start Round 4....... After a eat feast at Xmas I have been eating healthily and exercising and hope to conitue doing this until the eggs go back in ( i will still eat healthily just take it easy on the exercise)
My family and I ar doign a biggest loser for 3 months and whoever wins get the $300 prize. We all put in $50 to motivate us. My Dh keeps telling me everyday that it will be him to win because he knows I love competition so I think it is his way of keeping me motivated. I am hoping AF will show up next week sometime or ealry the week after (she does take her time) and then I will be back to accupuncture to hope that these little suckers stick.

Now I have a question for you has your clinic told you not to transfer 2?? Last time i went to the Dr has said it would be better to only transfer one as there are risks with spina bifida etc for twin babies but all the research I have done has said it occurs prodomately in twins who share the same sac. Now I am a bit confused about wether we should transfer 1 or 2?? Your thought s on this would be great.
OK better go cook dinner.... Take care will chat to you soon.... Walshy
