Good morning ladies! :)

Hey, my first client at the hospital today was a BFNo-show! I hate when they do that... you wait like a fool thinking they're just late and waste tme you could be spending with other patients who are hospitalized. Aaaaanyway! So is human nature!

First of all, the BEST of luck to Ange for her second blood test (I'm really on pins and needles for that result sweetie) and to Tex for her blood test!

Tex, don't beat yourself too hard, okay? It's your first IVF, you're learning from experience the hard way just like everybody else. You really think everybody else here refrained from doing an HPT on their first, even second IVF? Heck, I sure did learn the hard way that I should not try to control and prepare what I just can't prepare or control. I felt stressed, angry, sad... for a week waiting for AF and calculating dates and delays, and so on. And I end up with a protocol that does not even fit with the calendar they gave me! The joke's on me! And now that I've put some distance between my nose and that calendar/protocol book, I can see how it makes perfect sense (I'm 28, so I was doomed to get more Lupron and less Puregon anyway!). So don't blame yourself too hard hun. And yup, I definitely should remember that I deserve to be pampered from time to time... fortunately, my DH remembers; he did the dishes twice yesterday and offered to make dinner when he saw I was fried from all the cooking during the afternoon. Love him! Good luck with your in-laws... I bet the Xmas party won't be too fun... well, if you watch The Office, think of Angela and Dwight, that might help make some funny comparisons! ;)

Jordan: good luck for your transfer! Give us news when you can!

bec: thanks for saying hi! I'm waiting for that super BFP with you!

whoops, next patient is here; I have to go. Take care ladies, and I'll be around!

Hi Ladies!

I just have a question for you (I posted my history on th Introduction Message Board about a week ago).. I am testing tomorrow (trying to stay calm) and I was given 2 HPTs from the clinic to use. Are/Have most of you had blood tests to detect +/- pregnancy?

Wishing all of you luck!!! :D

Thanks!

This is my first time at IVF but in my paperwork it said not to bother with HPT test because of the drugs in your system. But maybe after the 12th day it would work. What day are you supposed to test? Good Luck I hope it is a BFP!!!!

Tex praying hard for you, hoping to hear of another BFP.

Hello ladies!!!

OMG, i had to catch up from p.85!!! that's 14 pages!! so, here we go (and i am soooo sorry in advance for the long post!  )

mom - sorry about your interview but if it wasnt what you wanted anyway then it obviously wasnt meant to be. do keep us updated!!

tc - cant believe the ins problems you've had!! what a bummer. its so lovely to hear that all these ladies are helping you out. if i had meds they'd be at yours now. i hope you get all the things you need.

gb - glad its "just" endo...if that makes sense!!

fed - glad af showed. you scared me about the meds and needles, it all sound so scary!! you did make me laugh about your work having words about internet usage...that rings a bell!! hence why i cant keep up to date on here!!

bec - hunny, you're doing so well!! whats S234T??? how did your babyshower go and did your SIL announce her preg?? your posts make me laugh (the head tilting by mum, and "hey, i'm knocked up merry xmas"   ), i hope you're feeling better with your bronch/pneum. hugs. i see you think you might be BFP...i so wish that for you. i cant wait till you test on sunday!! woohoo!

sophia - yes, its my first IVF too. its all very exciting and nerve racking isnt it? glad your af showed, oh, and thanks for the accu link. i've saved it and will have a look at it when i get a min.

haylie - how was your weekend in wales?

sassy - so nice that you have such a relaxed view on things now. its great that you have your sched for jan. bring it on!! how cute about your niece. it breaks our hearts, doesnt it. my brother (11) asked me what i wanted for christmas the other day and my other brother (9) answered "i think she would love a baby for christmas"....and he doesnt even know about the ivf. he just knows that we are trying!! childern are so innocent and so sweet!!

hopeful - i love your idea of the baby spirit!! :D ouch though about hitting the blood vessel!! cant believe you're having trouble with your ins too. what a pain!! oh and thanks for the assurance about the needles!!

tex - any news on your test???????? glad you have another view on things after interviewing that woman and thanks for sharing that with us! let us know as soon as you know!!

ange - any news for you???? again, you must let us know asap!!!!

angie - you're sounding great and sounds like you;re having a good time which is brilliant. happy xmas to you too!!!

jackie - glad you';re liking accu. i'm having my first accu in jan too!!

becky - great to hear from you hunny!!! hugs.

carolyn - how you doing?? where you going abroad?? what we gonna do now xfactor has finished??

shawn - i so know what you mean about that mother/daughter connection and how mums feel what you feel!! my mum is the same and its so strange!! sorry to hear you had such a crap day on thu but hope you're feeling a bit better now.

AMD, mcmillac, lisag999 and mizma (and fee again) - a big welcome to both of you!!!! you'll love this on here. its a real life line!! haha.

lara - so pleased AF has showed up for you but at the same time i honestly thought a miracle had happened. glad you can get on with things now though!!

sok - 3 embies snuggling in. sound fantastic!!! yes, the open evening is a group meeting where about 20 couples are invited and you get to meet the main people, get talked through a typical IVF cycle and can ask any questions. i can then start straight away, which is cool. its so nice to have a date to look forward to. anyway, how you doing in your 2ww?? hugs.

vickie - any news of AF yet??

charity - (whale penis!  ) - nice to hear from you. you do make me laugh! its great to hear you're starting in jan. i think jan is going to be a good month!!

jordan - how did your ET go yesterday?? hope you;re ok.

ems - sorry to hear no af. hope it comes soon!!

babyblue - that pressie sounds soooo sweet!! aawww!

and last but certainly not least - aunty - how you doing??? i'm so sorry about the practice run that never happened. i'm still recovering from this awful cold that i cant shift and then we were away for a couple of days, blah, blah, blah. anyway, no excuses i know. maybe we can have another go between xmas and nye when its not so busy?? i'm still really scared of taking over, even if its just for a couple of days so if anybody else knows more what they are doing, then please feel free. if not, i'm sure i'll master it. not long now aunty till its your time. what with xmas and nye and stuff your BFP will be here in no time!! oh, and whats the time difference here? are you about 6 or 8 hours behind?? (thought the other day i will have to get to grips with that if i take over on the list)

sorry if i've missed anybody - a very merry xmas to all of you and a very happy new year. i'll be staying on here right up until xmas and should then only be out for a couple of days. thinking of all the 2wwers every day!!

Well I wish I could have kept the momentum, but I'm a negative. I'm disappointed, but kinda expected it.

I'm off to the boring in-laws, but might ask some advise. My doc says he recommends doing the exact same trial again, but cautions me that I have only so many eggs left at 38. I'm a little confused because so many of you ladies have had way more than 5 eggs retrieved. He says he expects the results would be the same for me next time. Any words of wisdom? It seems to be (admittedly a novice) that maybe something could be altered so there were more than 5.

Anyway - sorry to leave on that note - but I'm off line till Jan29ish. I will be enjoying hanging with the family and time with DH (and a few glasses of wine which I have sorely missed)

Ange! OMG -Congrats! When do you find out how many??

Much luck to all of you! I will be hoping for a ton of good news once I get back.

Ange, OMG YIPPIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Congrats sweetie, I am so happy for you.

Tex, sweetie, I am so sorry that it didn't work this time. Don't give up one way or another you will have your miracle. I don't know much about eggs or age but I would assume that everyone's body is different.
I hope that you have a lovely holiday, rest have fun and we will see (hear) from you soon.

Mizma--My doctor's office had me do a HPT at their office the morning I went in for my first blood draw. I was more like 12 days out though and they said it could still be positive if it doesn't show up on the test. Lucky you gets to do it twice:) Merry Christmas Everyone!

Ange---Congrats!!!!!!!!!

Tex---So Sorry. If I were you, I'd consider getting a second opinion. Your Doc doesn't sound too positive. Is there someone else near you you can try?

Hi all,

Haven't been keeping up for a week. Had a lot on my plate unfortunately. Our dad (my FIL) has been very ill for the last year and I have pretty much been at the hospital most days. We were called in the middle of the night on Tuesday to say he had progressively become worse and he died 6pm on Wednesday, holding my hand as he took his final breath. He was so peaceful and surreal at the same time.
Needless to say words cannot covey how devastated we are. I feel so blessed and priveleged to have known such a perfect gentleman and father. My biological father died when I was 11 and my FIL took me on immediately as his daughter from the day I met him. He gave me the comfort and support and the will to always keeping going.

He wanted me to go ahead with my IVF at whatever cost so I started my buserelin injections today. I hope he can watch over me and bless me with a child so that I too may become the perfect parent that he was his whole life.

Please ladies say a prayer for him.

Tex, Sorry to read your sad news.

Ange, Congratulations to you. Really pleased.
