As I am doing a HPT, I am a bit worried because I have read so many times that it can be Negative but I could still be positive a couple of days later.
Does anybody know how long to leave it before testing? The first doctor said 14 days from Egg retrival, which is christmas day. The second doctor said 12 days from Embryo transfer, which is boxing day?
And it seems that everybody is going for blood tests after the HPT Is this something everybody does as I have not been given any date to go back to the hospital for any such tests. They just said call them with the outcome.

Lisag: my clinic does bw only. I am aware that some clinics have you do HPTs @ home then call them w/results. I don't know why the difference... sorry don't have more info for you...

I was pretty busy the rest of the day and could only spent two minutes in a row at the computer now... I don't remember who wrote it, but it's really strange to be both happy and sad at the same time.
Lisa: I'm really sorry to hear about your loss. I think it is great that things seemed to happen relatively smoothly, and that you were able to be there with him as he left us. I'm sure your presence was a great comfort for him and a wonderful source of softness that helped him leave in peace. You're in my thoughts.
Tex: what a disappointment! I cannot know 100% what you're going through, but I understand... I hope your DH is there for you, my dear, and that he'll help you go throught that hard time. Hi wonderful ladies,
Miss U so bad.... Sorry Im very busy lately. I help my friend take care her baby. The baby has been very difficult since they arrived from India. May be because new environment. She only sleeps at night. After she woke up, we must hold her all the time or she will cry. Almost a week now she is getting better. Now, she can sleep twice for half hour. Thanks God, I think my hand almost broken.
Anyway, I already talked to DH about adoption. We think we can't do it, the procedure seems difficult here. Pray hard that my next IVF will work. So far that is the only way for us to become parent.

Tex- my dear sweet Tex, I am so sorry. It truly SUCKS the big one getting the BFN and for me the first felw days i have spurts of tears but then PMA comes back and I have to know it is a numbers game and my time will come AS WILL YOURS, so I wish you a happy holiday and I am thinking of you !!!!
I would try a second opinion too, my SIL had a lesser quality & quantity of egg production and they went to the highes dosage for her meds to stilulate and she did really good, never going to have HIGH numbers but remember it only takes one! and she is BFP right now
Shantala- hey girl , i have missed you... S234T is actually supposed to be S@#T aka Shit hehehe. yeah SIL announced at babyshower that she was pregnant and it could be twins, almost everyone there knows I have been going thru IVF without success so i did get a few glances to see how i was doing. put on my shitshield and smiled the day away!
cried on my way home but hey ccan't be strong all the time right!
the cold is finally breaking up a bit, so tired from coughing! peppermint tea has been my savior! thanks for thinking of me sweetie!
Lisa- My sympathies to you and your Family, it sounds like such a special bond and i think he will be with you thru this next cycle more than ever. I am saying a special prayer for you guys. how is your DH doing?
Lisa g my guess is once you call to let them know the results they will bring you in for BW. I have my test 2w after egg retrieval. but then again mine is a blood test so I don't think I am much help. if you can call the office and someon there should be able to clarify for you??? GOOD LUCK!!!!

yup test tomorrow!!!! getting so excited! this is the first time I was ever tempted to get a HPT because of all the talk on this thread THANKS ALOT LADIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hehehe just kidding, BUT I am not, hell i made it 13 days so far what is one more. MY b@@bs are HUGE, yeah DH is a happy camper! and so tired and feel twinges PRAYING for my BFP. but i had these syptoms all the other times and got BFN's so trying to take it as it comes, and just have a little faith.

first off im so sorry i was MIA yesterday it was my DH's only day off work so we spent it together (it was really nice) i did pop in quick to see you all but no time to post ...
hes working now until boxing day but i have you lady's 
Tex i am so sorry this wasnt your time i was praying so hard youd have a wonderful christmas present take some time and please know we are here if you need us at all....i dont like your Dr's attitude i have always read that after any failed cycle your Dr should make changes i have some good news for you on my first IVF we only got 4 eggs 3 fertilized 2 made it to day 3 i was 38 then my Dr said that wasnt bad for my age but on my second cycle he changed my meds from Follistim 225 to Gonal F 450 i wqas told at scans we had 5 good follies we got 11 mature eggs 4 perfect embies at day 3 so yes you can increase your eggs just need to change your meds to better suit your body what drugs where you on last time?....
Lisa stomach cramps can be a very good sign sending prayers its not long now for your test, about your testing i would think 12 days after ET your littleones should show up on a HPT if you get a -ive but dont see AF test again a few days later wishing you luck sending you prayers
