Hi Mel - that all sounds great - good luck. I think it is ok to fly - look at Princess Mary - she's always coming over to Oz when she is preggers. I expect she flies in great comfort though! You would just need to be careful what you ate in India.

Angie - I am so sorry that it didn't work out. Its good to hear you sounding positive though. Take care of yourself.

Mel, it all sounds brilliant to me! 5 positive tests is just that .....you are pregnant, enjoy the feeling and cherish it. If it all goes pear-shaped further down the track, then thats beyond your control, but for the time being you are one step closer to your dream baby.

Hi everyone!

Well it's officially a BFP! :D

I was really beginning to think it would never happen...hopefully things just stay that way.

I had to book in with obstretrician straight away as if I waited til I got back apparently I wouldn't be able to get one (I'm in India, arrived last night!) Felt a bit weird like I'm jinxing myself but had to be done. She was also happy for me to come over here as long as I am careful.

Anyway hope you all have a good xmas!

Thanks Bel

Still very cautiously excited!

Booked in with Nikki Whelan she's on the terrace and delivers at the wesley.

She was the third one I called, first one not taking any more patients for august next year other 2 away on holidays in jan. I can't belive how earley you have to book in!

She was really good, I called on monday and spoke to her receptionist and she called me back that night to talk to me about long haul flying (aspirin pressure stockings etc) which I thought was nice.

Anyway have a nice xmas, I'll be having a different one here in India!

Hey Mel,
A couple of my friends have gone through Nikki Whelan and have really liked her. She is supposed to be lovely, sounds like a good choice!
Can't remember whether youa re a QFG chick?, if so, you'll be used to journeys to the Terrace for appointments, but it will be nice to go this time for obstetrics.
Congrats again

Hi everyone

Hope you all had a lovely xmas!

We had lunch at the marriott with a group of people DH works with over here, which was nice.

Haven't been feeling well this week but wasn't sure if morning sickness or dehli belly so went off to hospital to get checked out.....what an experience!! We are so lucky in Australia. It was dirty smelly dark and dank. Before I even saw the Dr I had decided there was no way I was having an internal scan or letting them draw blood! Anyway Dr wanted to do scan to confirm pregnancy before she would treat me, it was just a normal scan so that was ok. Scan confirmed pregancy (duh) and saw the heart beat 116bpm and they measured it at 5-6 weeks so all good. Dr thought it was morning sickness and told me what to get but I'm still a bit unsure so not taking anything!

Anyway was worth it to see heartbeat etc!

Only one more week to go then back to civilisation (5 days with a girlfriend in KL!)....I would definatley not recomend Chennai as an exciting holiday destination to anyone!

Hope everyone has a happy new year!

Hi everyone,

Thanks Tiger for setting up a site for Aussies and Kiwis - what an excellent idea!

I've only just joined and went into a bit of overkill when I introduced myself on that message board- In brief I had two IUIs with an unknown donor at the beginning of 2006 that didn't work and I am waiting for an known donor to go through the screening process at the moment.

Good wishes to everyone going through the process!
