Okay...I think we're getting big enough and getting closer to stuff starting to happen, so I want to get an update post put together, but will need your help. I will need to know where everyone is with their cycle (approximate or definite dates) and what you next event is: AF, Follow-Up Appt, Baseline, BCPs, Down-Regging, Stimming, FET's...So, if you could give me am update I'd be grateful...Thanks Gals!!

WIGal (Tammy)...You said your b-day was in a few weeks, but you never gave a date. So, I know this might be premature or slightly belated, but...
Image
Have you and dh made any decisions on what the future holds for you two? Just know that I'm thinking of you both, and hope the right answers comes that you both can live with. You're such a sweetie, and will be a dting mommy, so I know a baby is in your future.

Jen...My October Buddy...How are you holding up. Is work winding down for you at all, or are you as busy as ever? Hey! I was wondering if you have heard anything from your friends bf (the medium)? Any new predictions for the new year? How's your keychild doing with the holidays approaching. Is he getting excited? I bet he is...So, when you you get dates? You have to be getting excited about a whole new plan! I'm excited for you...

Jeck (Jessica)...I just wanted to congratulate you on your most wonderful Christmas gift ever. You will have to stop by and update us on the happenings with the whole process. He's such a cutey!Image

Souris...How's it going with dh's kids? I know it was going well, but just hoping it continued. Just another couple of weeks, and then you get your plan!! Yeah!!

Nims...Have you heard back from Sarah (mom20) on the natural cycle? Any news on a start date? How's work going? I hope it has slowed down some for you...

BWHD (Janice)...How's the diet going? Did you get all the issues straightened out with the insurance company? I hope so...They can be such a pain. How about any cycle dates? Have a plan yet?

Jemma...Any news on the prospect of adoption? I know dh was pretty excited about looking into that as an option for the both of you...How's the baby of your friend? You mentioned she had allergies and you were going to help out cleaning the house. How did that all go? Hope she's okay there...How are you and dh doing with your recent loss? I'm so sorry about your SIL. A similar situation arose with my cousin. She died suddenly from cancer, but the thing was, she knew for a while, but never let any of the extended family know. I never got a chance to say goodbye, and it was such a shock. She was in her thirties and left behind three kids. Such a sad situation. Though it would be much harder if it were a sister or SIL. I'm glad you had the chance to say good bye, though. That helps with the grieving to get closure. You and dh are in my thoughts.

AEJ…Are you feeling better about the holidays? You just keep remembering that this is the last year you’ll have to send out the “generic” cards, and will either have a baby bump to show off or that gorgeous baby(ies). I think you’re in good hands with your clinic and they’re right about doing FET instead. That will be so nice to have your body and mind in a nearly chemical-free state during the process. I envy you. So, when do you start your next cycle? I hope soon sweetie.

Sully…Just 15 days to RE consult…Getting anxious? The next few weeks will fly by and you’ll be on your way. You and dh have a great holiday!

99…We haven’t heard back from you Dear…How are you doing? Do you have any news on your first IVF cycle? Or any news in general…The first cycle is always so exciting and scary. If you need to talk, you know you can do it here…

Nicki…How are you doing with the prospect of the injections not too far away? I sure hope you were comforted by the ladies here and the great advice on the numbing cream. I didn’t think I’d be able to do it to myself, and dh would have to, but I did it all myself, and by the end of the cycle, I was an old pro at it. I started out going in really slowly and realized that only made it more painful. The biggest challenge I had was puncturing the skin hard enough, but not too hard…Once you get a feel for it, though, it goes really easy. There was a little stinging at the injection site for the lupron, but the stims were a breeze…The stinging was so minor, I barely noticed. I did the lupron on my outer thighs, and the stims in the tummy just below my belly button…I’ve heard from other ladies that it’s best if you inject in the belly with the stims. You get a better response to the meds when they are injected there versus the thighs. Not sure if that’s true or not, but it barely hurt there, so I was all for it…Actually had more sensitivity in the thighs. Again, not bad at all…Have you ever had a feather quill prick you..? That’s about what it feels like…I know you’ll be just fine…Let us know how you’re doing and where you are in your cycle…

AJDecker (Julie)…How are you holding up? Did af visit yet? When will you start the BCP’s? Do you have a plan yet? It’s so good to get some solid dates. My poor dh still doesn’t know when the EC will be, and is a bit worried about work. He’s the only one that does what he does (special instrumentation programming) at his job, so he’s sort of irreplaceable right now. There in the midst of a huge test for GE (fuel controls for the aerospace industry & military contracts) and can’t afford missing any R&D test time. Anyway, he’s getting a little nervous. I told him to just give them a general idea of the timeframe and explain your “wife is having surgery” and they should be fine. He’s so secretive. He doesn’t want anyone at work to know. Not sure why, but I think it’s a guy thing. Anyway, just wanted to see how you were holding up with the holidays and to touch base on any dates.

Sat14 (Susan)…How are you holding up Dear?? I’m worried about you…You sounded so blue in your last post, and just would like to know you’re doing okay…If you could just give us a quick blurb to let us know you’ve come out from under the covers and are feeling a bit better, that would be great…You hang in there, and when you’re ready to talk, we’re here for you…

Boonie…How are you doing? You seemed so together for just having some bad news…It sounds like you have a good understanding of the numbers game we’re all playing. Not that it isn’t devastating even with knowing the risks, but sometimes helps prepare you for the possibility that you may have to go through this again for that baby bump to happen. Not to get too personal, but when is af due to visit? I’m just trying to get an update on everyone’s schedule so we’re ready to go for the coming cycle. Truth is, I have some extra time today, and have been meaning to get to this for a while. You may not know since you just got done with a stimming cycle, but I was nearly right on schedule after my first cycle in October. Although, I didn’t have to do the progesterone step, so maybe that was part of the reason…Anyway, if you have a timeline that would be great…Take care dear, and have the happiest of holidays. 2007 is going to bring us all our BFP!!

Well, I think that’s all I got in me today ladies…Here’s wishing you the Very Merriest For This Christmas Season…Love to you all…

Thanks Ladies...I'm glad you like...I better make the BFP section really large cause we're definately having a lot of them this round!!

Souris...Good news on AF...You're getting close chickie! :)

Jeck...Sounds like a dream being able to shop for your new bundle of joy...I unfortunately took some of the fun out of it by doing it a bit prematurely. Not everything, but I sure bought out a lot of the Pottery Barn auctions on eBay for a while there! If things don't go well for me this cycle, we'll have to talk about your nursery theme...:)

Nicki...BCPs are Birth Control Pills. Not all, but a lot of the clinics put you on the birth control pill before your IVF cycle to keep you on their schedule (That's where the "Hold Please" comes in...They put your cycle on hold until they're ready to start their next group of ladies). They also do it to "calm" your ovaries down, so they're ready to go at the start of the stimming cycle. Not sure if you'll be put on them with your clinic, but it seems to be more of a US thing. The UK clinics seem to be more willing to work around your natural cycles. Would much rather, since I'm getting horrible headaches this time from being on them. I told dh when I first went off of them when we start to ttc that I missed being on them, cause I was getting so much acne...Now, I told him I'm NEVER going back on them again. It's only for eight more days, so I'll be fine, but if it were any longer, I would seriously be considering postponing my cycle by another month to try a different type. All the discomfort will be worth it though, but just difficult being cheerful around family the past couple days when my head is pounding.

Anyway, wishing you all the very best...2007 is going to be the year for our babes...Take care, and Merry Christmas (for a few more minutes...)
