ange - i'm sorry to hear about your numbers. i'm glad giving up isnt in your vocab so keep that in mind. tell us as soon as you have spoken to your doc thursday. big hugs to you too!

babyblue - oh no!! sorry to hear about your dh. how is he?

lisag999 - WOOOOOHOOO!!! thats so great!!!! BFPBFPBFP!!!

sok - not long to go now honey!!!

sophia - thanks, it was a wonderful day!

tc - sorry to hear its not going to plan. let us know what you decide and keep us on track!

sassy - sorry to hear about your (F word)...you know, "Friend". lol. no, seriously, you've done well for cutting her off. i've had to distance myself from certain people who are just hurtful and although its difficult, its much healthier for you in the long run.

aunty - the list is looking great. and my favourite part at the top is looking better and better! :D

bec - how you doing honey??????? how did your parents react when you told them?? we'll need pics of you soon with your belly and those twins!! make up a myspace account or stick them on photobucket.

as for me, had a great xmas. a very busy one though as we went and visited all the family and stuff so quite knackered. but its been really good. going to a 70s party for nye as its my FIL's b'day on NYE and he is 70 so my SIL is throwing a 70s party. got the best fancy dress ever!! the only downer is the lack of drink, especially as my DH's family love their drink and you know what its like when you;re the only sober one...hhhmmmm...should be interesting!!! haha.

hope everyone else has had a great xmas!!!

Hiya Ladies,

I just wanted to pop in and wish everyone a Happy Christmas and New Year.

Bec & Lisa - So pleased that you got BFP's. Well done.

SS - I am so so sorry for the loss of your father. Our's died on the 20th and he will be cremated this Thursday after his service. I am dreading it so much. My thoughts are with you. I also wanted to say how sorry I am that the FET didn't work for you. You didn't deserve that to happen after all you have been through

Ange - Hope your situation improves rapidly and the pregnancy continues.

Love Lisa

P.S Does anyone know if JACKOA has had her scan yet for gender.

Just dropping in real quick...

Ange: I covered my mouth with both hands when I read your post. What a huge disappointment! I agree, it's even worse when your hopes fly high and then the shock comes! Bec and Aunty's posts reassured me a little, though... maybe it will still happen after all! Try keeping the PMA as much as possible sweetie... and keep us posted! I can understand the usefulness of those blood tests... but to be frank, I'm glad my clinic won't use that. We get only one blood test 16 days after ET and then get an ultrasound two weeks later if the test is positive. They don't seem to check the numbers that close like that... Either way, my dear, I'm with you in thoughts!

And ss... another shock for you... oh, what a painful holiday that is! I give you a big hug and you have all my sympathy.

Good night girls,

Sophie

PS just had a discussion with my father's wife (not my biological mother but started dating my father when I was 5)... my family doesn't know when I'll do my first cycle... and it's SO annoying when people just assume you won't do it any time soon because of this and that... she made me feel bad when she talked about how expensive babies are and how she just assume we were not planning to assume that financial shock just yet... hey! Do I tell you about what's in my bank account? And the worst is that these are the same people who just beam and tell you how impatient they were once you tell them the BFP news. Sheesh! Okay... shit shield up! :D

Sophie sending you my SS yeah your right people say really stupid things if everyone waited to be able to afford a baby and to be emotionaly prepared for one we would be extinct by now...silly woman if everyone sat down and on paper worked out how much it would cost to have a baby no one could do it...ignore her and be happy poor like all us other wanna be mums....

Hi ladies!!

I just wanted to pop in and say hello!!! Aunty, I hope all is well with you and your baseline goes as planned!!!

For all of those that have gotten your BFP's, Congrats!!! I am so happy for you!!

For those that have gotten the bad news, may god give you peace and comfort during this time... My thoughts and prayers are with you!

A friend shared this passage on patience and I shared with the feb. girls and I thought it might help some of you all. No matter what faith that we have we all share the same little trouble with patience!!! I think we can apply this to many situations in our life!!

Life in the Waiting Room
Isaiah 40:31 ESV
We’ve all heard the prayer: “Lord, make me more patient—and do it now!” Of all the spiritual virtues, patience is one that tends to be troublingly elusive. Let’s face it; if patience is a virtue, most of us are not very virtuous. It’s flat out hard to wait.
Think of how you feel when you’re late for a critical engagement and caught in a traffic jam. I find it tough when I’m in a hurry and rush to the “10 items or less” line at the grocery store, and then have to wait while the guy in front of me pulls 16 items out of the basket and casually chats with the clerk. How did I know it was 16 items? I counted them, piece by piece!
When life or people don’t measure up to our expectations, being patient can be quite a challenge. But it’s clear that God wants us to develop this character trait. After all, patience is more than a virtue—it’s a fruit of the Spirit. It reflects His very presence in our lives, for He is a patient God. If He weren’t, we all would have been annihilated long ago.
So what’s our problem?
There’s a good probability that our struggle with patience has been unsuccessful because we’ve been trying to focus on our own agendas and timelines and not trusting that, for reasons best known to Him, God may have a whole different schedule for us. Our propensity to live with a short fuse is all about forgetting that God puts us in His waiting room on purpose, because He is often doing something behind the scenes while we wait.
It might be as simple as teaching us to be more concerned with the struggles and feelings of others rather than being totally taken with our own interest and plans. There is plenty of evidence as well that God interrupts the normal flow of our lives to open unusual opportunities to be used of Him in unexpected ways. Or, it just may be that God wants to give us the opportunity to show what His patience is like by demonstrating it to others.
One thing we can be sure of—God’s time is always the right time. His management of our situations—whether in traffic or in the “ten items or less” line—is always the best management. Patience is not learning to wait for others; it’s learning to wait on God and to cooperate with His work in our lives. Next time impatience begins to stress you out, stop and ask God what He is saying to you; ask Him to show you why your expectations and schedule have been hijacked. Then take a deep breath and trust. Trust that He is at work in you and in the situation.
So, the next time you have to wait, “wait for the Lord”! He is never late.
YOUR JOURNEY…
What kinds of situations make you impatient?
What are you waiting for right now?
What are some ways that God might be working in your situation while you wait?

Hey guys-Hi Aunty...
Just thought that I would stop in and say hi. I just started my medications for FET on Jan 12th. I am getting really excited about it and trying to focus on positives! This IF stuff is so hard to deal with sometimes. It is just nuts. Totally an emotional roller coaster. I hope that you guys had a good Christmas...I had fun. Kept thinking about the FET but thats OK. I have three frosties and I am looking forward to getting them! They are going to do assisted hatching...does this help? Anyone heard of it increasing pregnancy chances??? Just wondering. Take Care.

Good morning everyone...

I hope you all had a nice Christmas. I haven't been on here for a few days as I got the dreaded bug on Christmas Day, was in bed sick all day Christmas Day and Boxing Day, so missed out on my Turkey  !!! Feeling a bit better today though.

Well, your AF jigging worked - she arrived on Xmas Eve so I have been downregging since and am booked in for my baseline scan and blood test on 4th Jan. I really hope this time is more straightforward that the last as I ended up downregging for 5 weeks - eeesch!!

I hope everyone else is doing ok.

Off to Paris for New Year so if I don't get back on the Boards beforehand I wish you all a Very Happy New Year, and may all our dreams come true in 2007!

Love Ems xx

After talking with a few friends and family I have decided to just wait for now. I am not sure if when I move forward if it will be down this road but I do know that I will never give up wanting to have another baby.
I want to thank you all for your generousity, love, support, and kindness.
You are all so very strong and I am very thankful for you.
I will be "watching" all of you though and cheering for all of your BFP's.

Mom- oh hon. I am so sorry you are sick, I hope you are feeling better!!!! much love to you!

Sophie- I am telling you some people just don't EVER think. it is a true test of strength, SO glad the Shhit Sheild has made some things a tad easier!!! CHIN up we are all with you!!!!

Jeck- what a beautiful picture!!!! and what a beautiful passage, thanks for sharing!!!!

Tans- Hello right back at you!!!! I have heard several great success stories with assisted hatching (my SIL is 3 weeks pregnant righht now via assisted hatching) I asked my doc about it and he wasn't truly convinced it was a way to increase your chances, they way he told me was that the embies will either attach or they won't with assisted hatching it helps the embies attach earlier than they would if it was a regular transfer. so it might help speed up the process but it isn't a sure fire guarantee....
hope this helps!

EMS- hope you feel better! and have a BLAST in Paris! how fun! I hope AF doesn't bother you too much!!! wooohooo stimming in the new year :)

Ange- sending huge hugs and prayers to you!
SS I hope you are dong ok sweetie!

It has been a whirl wind, I am know all of you will have these moments soon enough too. It is a weird weird feeling. my family has been besides themselves. I honestly still don't believe it! I think too when you work so hard for something and then it finally works for you in a way you kinda wait for the other shoe to drop. I am not going to lie, this past year was tough, probably one of the toughest things I had to go thru beside when my husband was fighting for his life with cancer. But keeping my chin up, keeping my eys on the big picture and remembering to HAVE FUN too was the most important thing! I love you all so much, it is amazing how much love and support you can get from a group of women you have NEVER met! I will be popping in to keep track of you all if that is ok!
hope you all have a great wednesday!
love bec
