I was just wondering the exact same thing (after reading
that article)!
I'm no exercise junkie but thought it would be a good idea to
drop a couple of kilos before FET next month. I was
thinking of going for walks and swimming at the beach.
Now I'm not so sure...

Any advice would be appreciated..

Lori- happy birthday!!!!!!!!!!!

Fiona & Meg- hey girls. I am too an excercise junkie. I continued working out throughtout the entire IVF process. I definately modified as to how I was feeling and I took a week off after transfer, but for me it helped stay sane. I am someone who goes 6-7 days a week. and now I am BFP. everything I have read and have asked about seems to be kind of the same, DON"T OVERDUE it! but it is ok. if you can rate your exursion level from 1-10. stay around a 3-5 range. now I don'rt work out nearly to the intensity as I was doing but I am there. on the elliptical. monitoring my Heart rate. drinking tons of water, and making sure I don't get out of breath.... but this is just me.

Sonya- almost there !

Shantala- how are you doing???

ERIN_ where are you!!!!!

AMC- pretty close :)

Sophie- Patience is a wonderful asset and I am so glad you are doing well in the midst of some crazies!!! hang in there. it will be good!!!!

Ange- I am so proud of you!!! that was my next step too if it ddn't work this time, a girlfriend of mine is deciding if she wants to continue IVF because she has to go thru all the genetic testing and stuff. I really admire your stregth... WHATEVER it takes right :)

Vickie- I never got AF while injecting??? hmm call the doc

Jackie- yeah PIN CUSHION days ahead for you :) DON't you LOVE accu!!!!!

SASSY- hey thanks for letting me know i hadn't updated my info... DUH pregnancy brain heheheh!

Aunty- you are so close to starting too... ahhh this is it sweetie :)
love to all my sistahs!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LORI!!!!!

May all your wishes come true!!!!!

Meg, Fee I read that article too! I am not an exercise person, but I had thought it would good for me while I was going to do IVF. I did some additional reading and spoke with my nurse; she said the same thing that Bec did. DON'T OVERDO IT! Then of course when you get you BFP you can join a class that is special for pregnant woman. My SIL took one with her second child and said that it made all the difference when it came time for delivery, and it made the Braxton Hix contractions less painful!

Aunty I am getting so excited for you!!!!! It's almost time to start!!!!!! YIPPIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sonya, I am praying for your BFP tomorrow!!!!!! Common Girl!!!!!

Ok well I am off, DH has the nasty stomach thing going around here and he is a HUGE baby when sick so I get to play nurse!!!!

TTFN and have a great day

Good morning Ladies,
Happy Birthday Lori!!

Ange - So sorry about the HCG levels. I think it is twice as hard to swallow when you get a BFP, then the bad news to follow. Good luck on your future plans.

I didn't get to see the article some of you read on exercise, but I have seen a TV program on women atheletes. These are women who are like marathon runners and there chances of conceiving are extremely low. This program was about a year ago and it was on natural child conception, they didn't mention IVF.

Hang in there Sok, one more day - Wishing you an exciting BFP!!!!

I am in a delimia. DH was put in the hospital this last weekend for an allergic reaction to penicillan. He had v high liver enzyme levels, his gallbladder and liver stopped functioning for a short while. Things seem to be coming back, as his levels are still high (normal is 7-45 and his is 209) but are slowly dropping. I was suppose to order my meds this week and take meds with me to Dr. appt. Wednesday (1/3) which will be a suppression check and first shot of microlupron. My big concern is if his liver enzymes are not back to normal by 1/17 (EC), could that affect the sperm? He is still yellow (jaundice) and his GI Dr. said that it could take 3-4 weeks for that to go away. I called my ER clinic yesterday but they have not returned my call. I would hate to get in the middle of these meds and stimming and then have to call things off. Any idea if liver enzymes and beliruben can affect sperm? I hate the thought of postponing this but I want DH to be well.

Hi Ladies,

I am sorry that I have disappeared again! With the holidays and work and my son needing me to put together a new toy everyday I have not had much time to my self.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! Mine was nice and relaxing!

BEC- I am so happy for you!! Everytime I think about it my eyes fill up! I just had a feeling this was going to be your time. With all that you and DH have been through this is well deserved!

Aunty- You are almost there!!!! How are you doing? I have one kind of stupid question, what does your baseline mean? I should know this by know but I am not sure what that is. Hope you have a wonderful New Year!

Lori- HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hope you have a wonderful day!

Vickie; I am doing the AF dance for you. It worked for me and I hope it works as well for you.

TC- I hope you are doing well. YOu made a very hard decision and I have so much respect for someone as strong as yourself. I hope your dreams come true!

Sonya- TOMORROW IS YOUR DAY!!! Good luck and I have everything crossed for your BFP!

SS- Sorry for the news. I hope you are doing well and I am sure your time is coming!

Jeck- Your son is beautiful! Congrats!

Ange- I am so sorry you are in my thoughts!

OK I know I did not get to everyone but I am thinking of you all. Much love!

Bec
Thank you so much for the information. I appreciate it. Things are going well but I have to say that I really do not like the estrogen patches. They are really annoying and I want to rip it off of my body every day!!! All Day!

I go in for another u/s on the 5th to see what is going on and then we decide if we will be transferring on the 12th. I am really hoping that everything looks good when we go in.

Also getting ready for a party at my house for New Years eve. Should be fun. What are you guys up to???

Happy B-Day LORI Party Woooo

Babyblue: While I am no doctor my mother had a liver transplant a few years ago and I have learned alot about the liver I dont think that his condition will have any effect on the sperm. It mainly has to do with his metabolism and protein. But I would think the most important thing is that he is feeling well. How he feels will have a greater effect on him than anything. Of course I would stalk the clinic until I got an answer.
Take Care All
I will post my results as soon as I can!
Love to All

Bec---Thanks so much for the info on exercise. It makes me feel so much better knowing that I'm not ruining my chances by working out. That's one less thing I have to worry about now when my FET starts. Thanks and congrats again on your BFP!

Babyblue--So sorry about your DH--that must have been really scary. You wouldn't think that would affect his sperm, but what do I know?! Hope it works out!!

Hi girlies - hope you all had a good christmas. Mine was okay, you know what it's like, trying to put a brave face on when you visit all the babies and see the joy they bring - not that I don't wish anyone that but it was just hard.

Ss - am so sorry for your loss and your bfn life sucks sometimes I just hope 2007 brings your long awaited dream.

Shantala - your party sounds great at least being sober means you get to take allthe photos and see everyone deteriorate into a drunken mess. I did on boxing day, we had a party at my mums and everyone was doing tequilla shots it was so funny watching them get drunker by the minute, I have some classic photos!!!

Rach - I am looking forward to starting my jabs but am also apprehensive, not that I'm being negative I'm just trying to realistic! But hey bring on the bfp! What date do you get to do your transfer?

Lisa999 - congratulations on you BFP that 's fantastic!!

Lisa - so sorry about your loss, try to keep your chin up hun.

Mom- hope you are feeling better

Ems - Paris for the New Year sounds fab, hope you and Dh have a great time.

Christine - you have made a brave decision and I really admire your spirit, I hope 2007 brings you all you've dreamed of

Jackie - good luck with your stimmin, lets hope you have lots of lovely follies and eggs!

Aunty - 5 days til your scan, I bet you are on countdown. Happy New Year in the big apple!

Lori - Happy Birthday, have a wonderful day :D

Sophie - keep that ss up and lets hope those inconsiderate people never have to go through what you are going through  . I bet you are glad to be back home.

Babyblue- Sorry I can't answer your question but I hope Dh gets better soon and everything works out for you

Sonya- good luck tomorrow I'm thinking of you

Well have finally caught up so am off to bed

Take care all

Carolyn- hope you are having a relaxing break
