Sita,

Sorry about your m/c..that is devastating. I hope you can surround yourself with supportive friends/family who will listen.

Noodle: It's too early for heartbeat...I didn't get really strong h/bs until 7 weeks...so please try not to get discouraged if you don't see one.

Well, everyone, I am having a tough time. I went in for my 7 week u/s on Tues, and there were THREE very strong heartbeats. The prior week, one was very, very small and I was spotting so we thought it was going to vanish...it didn't. My dr. started talking about sel. reduction with us. I was depressed for a few days and am feeling a little better. From everything I've read, it is safer to carry twins..I don't want three sick babies. It's just tough though...I was hoping mother nature would have taken care of this. Has anyone been though this or know anyone else who had to make this choice.

Suzhan: Thanks for your info. My babies measured a week behind. I think I was in such shock I didn't even ask. I posted on the other site too. It sounds like you are totally fine.

cinders - wow, 3. That's a tough decision. I'm not sure what I would do. You need to follow what your heart tells you and do lots of praying. I've seen several instances where mothers have decided not to do selective reduction and the babies have turned out fine.

Sita - so sorry to hear your news (((HUGS)))

Sorry I haven't checked in for a bit.

Cinders- wow all three with heartbeats. You must have very mixed emotions. My Sister-in-law had triplets last year, all fine, didn't even have to go into special care. I know people really struggle with thisdecision, and it has to be yours entirely. There was a lady on another thread called Ophee I think and she went ahead and had selective reduction. She was on pregnant after treatment board, but not sure. Just take care and try not to take everyones views personally! hard i know!

Sita- so sorry to hear your news. Take care and hope you get some answers

hello everyone.. long time no post for me.. I have been soooo ticked off.. lol..

My IVF/ICSI failed in July and Nov. I just had a FET on Dec 21st.. I go for my second Beta tomorrow but I have asked not to be called with the results until Jan 2end.. lol (I don't want to ruin my holiday) lol... great PMA huh...

We only have two snowbabies left after we just transfered FOUR blasts.. YIKES  so we will only have one more FET chance if this dose not work.. it is sooo depressing...

Jovi.. thoughts for tomorrow...

just wanted to say hi to everyone!!

Hey jordan22!!! Good to hear from you again. Good luck with your testing. You must have lots of patience waiting till 1-2 to find out. I go tomorrow morning at 9am for the blood work then call back about 2pm for the results. I'm really nervous about it but ready to move on whether it's a BFP or BFN. GOOD LUCK!!!

Meg, why don't we make a pact to stop reading too much stuff on the
internet. It can drive you batty. I admitted to my clinic that I had
been reading on the internet (when I rang them because I thought
I was dying of OHSS - which I didn't actually have). They told me
off and said that articles on the internet will scare the bejeezus out
of you. I think I'd better take their advice.

Crash, no offence taken. We aussies have thick (and sometimes
leathery) skin. I agree that the article is a fence sitting exercise.
They probably didn't look at all of the other factors that may influence success rates over the 1 - 9 years prior to IVF, like all the heavy drinking
at the university tavern etc...

Noodle, thanks for your input. I am so pleased for you and your
success. I really appreciate your story and it gives me hope.
I would probably be like you and tone down the exercise in the
first trimester just to be safe....

Hi girls,

Thank you so much for kind words and thoughts. My DH and I are going away for a few days so that we can have a small break.

I hope all of you are doing great.

Noodle - Try to relax my dear. I am sure all will be OK for you. I will be praying for you.

Cinders, I have heard of so many success stories of girls who have had triplets, Quads and Quints. One of my friends whom I met through this site has had selective reduction (when they found out they were having triplets) and is also doing fine. Please try and speak to your Doc and make a decision. I guess the Doc will consider all the factors i.e. age, test results etc to help you make a decision. Good luck and congratulations !!

Until next time... take care gilrs.

Love,
Sita

Great Fee, now I'm going to worry about all those beers I drank in college! Ha! It's a deal--no more reading the Internet (except for this site, of course!)

Sita--Have a great trip! Hope you can relax!

Hello everyone! Sorry I've been out of the loop. Hope you all had a nice Christmas. I had a nice semi-quiet holiday with DH, FIL and MIL. Except for when we went down to the LV strip to see the Holiday displays. What a crowd! These people can't possibly all live here?! Anyway, It's nice to have the house to ourselves again. I still have a bunch or reading to do here. Forgive me if I don't respond to everyone in this post. I'll try to catch up soon.

Sita, I'm so sorry about you mc. (((hugs))) I think getting away will do some good. Try and have a nice time. Hopefully next time will be better.

Cinders, wow 3! I know that's a tough decision. I don't really have any advice. 3 can be risky, but it doesn't always mean you will have problems. I hope everything works out ok.

Suzhan, congrats on your 1 little bean's strong heartbeat! :) Did they ever find a reason for the high HCG count?

Jovigal, I'm wishing you the best for tomorrow. I know it's going to be good news. You are such a good person and you deserve a BFP for sure!

As for my news, I have a BT tomorrow and if the results are good I should start lupron on Sat. I never was able to work that whole RX-lupron thing out with my clinic. My clinic never even called the CVS RX like she said she'd do and didn't even tell me. I guess she forgot. :x It all worked out though because Jovigal and Charity were kind enough to send me the extra lupron they had. Jovigal even sent a completly new vial. :D
So I get to look forward to being on lupron for about 20 days. ET is on the 25th, it's getting closer!

Sorry if I'm forgetting anyone, I'll catch up as soon as I can.

Hi everyone!!!!, first of all I wish you all a happy new year, I hope all your dreams come true in 2007!!!!!

Jovigal, I wish you a super strong BFP for tomorrow !!!!!!, will be thinking about you!!

Sita, I hope those days away do you well, they will probably, I wish you the best!!!

Jordan, good luck with your test, I hope you can start 2007 with the best gift of all!!!!

Cinders, I know it is a tough decision the one you have to make, my cousin went through the same when she had her IVF, she got pregnant with triplets and had to have reduction, and now she has 2 beautiful 2 year old babies!!!, look in the thread "BFP awaiting scan" that is where Ophee talked about her reduction, maybe you want to PM her...Good luck on whatever decision you make, it will be the right one....

As per me, I am a little bit better, as you all said, time is a healer, not doing 100% yet of course, still sad, but doing better. My RE said that when AF comes next month I can start the BCP's, and then the following month I can go ahead with the FET (I still have 4 totsicles left), so I guess that by February/March I will be doing the FET......but this time we decided not to tell anyone, only family because they will find out due to the days off for the transfer, this time having told everyone made things even worse I think, it was too much pressure having everybody asking all the time about every step, so now we'll try a low profile......

I wish you all the best for this new year!!!!!!

Vicky--It's good to hear from you! I've been worried...I'm glad to here you're doing better. It's understandable to still be sad, I have a feeling that will be there for awhile but that only means you're human. I know what you mean about telling people---I'm going to keep it to the bare minimum next time. It just sucks having to tell everyone over and over the bad news. Grrrr.

Happy New Year Everyone. 2007 is going to be our year! Watch out, I sense a population boom coming

Ok, I can't sleep  I got up at 3am and did a hpt. I used one of the cheapie internet tests, I stand and watch for about 5 minutes but see nothing. I went back to bed, couldn't sleep, got back up about 15 min later and checked the test again. I see a VERY, VERY, VERY faint line in the test window. It is so light I'm thinking it's an evap line. It's so funny how we drive ourselves crazy in the 2ww. I've braced myself for a BFN today though. I'm 10dp3dt today. How many dpo would I be?
