Hi Lou,

sorry to butt in on your thread, but I read Lorraine's post on Oct 6, about being down because of the grade of her embies and I thought I might be able to cheer her up a bit!

Lorainne, I had IVF last month and I had a really poor cycle, I only collected 6 eggs and 4 fertislised. The four that fertilised were only grade 2.5 and grade 3. I was devastated and told the consultant just to stick them back in for a laugh (literally my words!) I didn't get at all excited over the 2ww - I spent more time telling stories on here about eating percy pigs and trying to keep everyone else going. So it came as a big bloody shock to find out I was pg with TWINS!! This means both my 'crappy embies' worked. So don't give up, if it can work for me, it can work for you too!!

Lou - try not to worry about your pains, its probably anxiety pains ahead of your ET tomorrow. Try to relax (easier said than done, I know!) and try drinking more water.

Fingers crossed to you both, I truly hope it works for both of you!

love nikola.xxx
Sorry to hear that you are still suffering, I know EXACTLY how you feel.
When I went in for my ET I told the doc about the pain but she said that she believed it was JUST sore/bruised ovaries and NOT ohss. I must say that the long drive in and back to King's made me a lot worse and after ET (Friday night) I felt like my whole stomach would burst and I was in so much pain I did not even bother to go to bed. BUT by Saturday morning it got easier and today it is better still.I am taking Paracetemol (on the advice of King's) and loads of Rennies (which they also said is OK). I am finding that drinking loads of water is helping relieve the trapped wind also.
I am sure that you are suffering similar symptoms to me, I would hazard a guess that if so you should find that things will ease up in a couple more days.
I really hope it all goes to plan for you tomorrow, what time do you go in?
Try to take it easy and if you are at all worried about the pain then have you got an emergency number that you can phone at the clinic?
On another note, DH and I have not been very good on the abstaining front. King's did tell us that it is OK to have sex, I have read that it isn't, but I suppose it is too late to bother now. We will have to have more will power from now on though!

GOOD LUCK tomorrow
Love Lorraine
