Thanks for the info about exercise. From your history it looks like you have been through a lot in 2006 with a great outcome. Inspiring for all of us still trying!
I will keep up the exercise but just moderate. Not that i am one to push myself too hard anyway....

Hello friends! I hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday. Well, I guess my appointment went okay today, as I begin Estrace on Saturday and decrease my Lupron to 10 units instead of 20...I am ready to get rid of these hot flashes!

Anyway, I have a question. Anyone on Lupron experience redness or a little swelling/rash at the injection site for about an hour or two after the injection? This started last night and continued with my shot tonight, and it is just darn irritating. Should I be worried? I have been taking Lupron for two weeks now and it never happened until yesterday. Any advice anyone has is very much appreciated!

If I do not get to pop in again within the next few days, I would like to wish everyone a wonderful new year in 2007 with buckets and buckets of baby dust headed our way!

Hi everyone,

I'm very excited to find this thread! This is my first time for IVF/ICSI.
I had 21 days of birth control pill, and had Lupron for 10 days. This morning I did an ultrasound. My doctor suggest to start stimulation on Dec 31st. I'm very nervous and excited. hope to share the journey with you...
just a quick question, normal how long the stimulation will take? I just want to estimate my egg retrieval date.

Hello, Raintree and welcome! With my first cycle, I started my stims on March 17 and my retrieval was on March 30, so I guess my total stim time was about 2 weeks. I had a day 5 transfer on April 4.

Hi Raintree,
I am doing my first IVF/ICSI cycle now too. I am currently on BCP and will be starting lupron on the 4th of January! I totally understand the excitment and nerves! I wish you all the sucess in the world!

Raintree-- My doc told me normal stim time was usually 8-10 days if you respond well to the drugs, but of course every person is different! Welcome to the thread and I wish you lots of luck!

Welcome Raintree...I had my first cycle in October and was on stims for 10.5 days (21 injections)...You've come to a great place. I wouldn't have made it through without these gals.

AMD...I had the same thing happen with Lupron...I actually didn't notice it until my DH said something...I also didn't have it at first, but it started after a few days and kept up until I stopped. I don't think there's anything to worry about though...It stung, was red, welted a little, and itched after a bit, but went away a couple hours later...Hope that helps..? :)

Hi everyone, Just poping in to say hello. I hope you had a nice Christmas! I have not had a chance to read the 3 or 4 pages I missed. I'll try to catch up soon.

I have a BT tomorrow and if it goes well I'll be starting Lupron on sat. Thanks to Charity and Jovigal I have lupron. My Ivf co-ordinator never called in the prescription to the RX I asked her too. :x

I can't believe 2007 is almost here. The past 7 years just flew by. :shock: Before we know it, it will be 2010. Hopefully we'll all have little tods bopping around the house. :)

Thanks for the information! AMD, Erin and Meg. it is such a friendly place...

I went to do ultrasound this morning. today is my third day of the period. they found my uterine lining is a little bit thick, 7.5mm. In stead of start stimulation tonight as planned, I will go to another ultrasound on Dec 31st. it is expected that my uterine lining will become thiner by then. and I will start ultrasound that night. I will let you know how it goes.

How did you guys make the cute schedule bar in the signature?

Raintree...If you follow the link below, you can select your bar, then you select your marker, and then you can type in the event you're counting down...Then, you get the code, and copy it into your profile signature, and save...You're good to go... :o) Good luck!!

Thanks for the reply, Charity! I am glad to know that I am not having some freaky reaction to the Lupron and that I am not alone! Looks like my little rash has gone for the night! Until tomorrow...

Aunty so sorry to spoil your board but has af was late and clinic is shut till 2nd of jan i dont think i will be down regging until 12th of jan now (by my calculations ) sorry .
It so good to see so many people getting started we are going to have so many BFP in 2007 .

hi ladies, if you dont mind i would like to join ya. i start stims on 1-1. my 1st u/s is dec 31. im getting very excited. this will be our 3rd time, but this time we are doing a very agressive cycle....using menopur. from what ive heard i will get pretty big and bloated not to mention i suffer from ohss. anyways HELLO
