I was just stalking some of my cycle buddies for got BFP to see how they were all doing and saw your post. I can't believe what has happened but really glad to see that both you and Ellie are doing well.
She sounds such a fighter, just like her mother!
I hope that you are able to transfer soon to be near you.
Congratulations on little Ellie.

Ellie is doing well. She was transferred on Friday in the end, they couldn't get the transport together for the Thursday.
On Friday her tummy became very distended again so they stopped her feeds. They reintroduced them again on Tuesday after giving her tummy a rest, first a ml every 4 hours then on Wednesday it was every 2 hours, yesterday was every hour and today she's up to 2mls every hour the little piggy! They are going to increase it by a ml every 24 hours.
I'm still expressing every 3-4 hours which is knackering. On Wednesday I only got 10 mls so I went to see Ellie, I expressed when I was there and got 180mls! I obviously needed my baby fix to get the milk flowing again!
When I was travelling to London it was taking anything between 2-3 hours. Now she's been moved to Harlow it's only a half hour car ride. I've been naughty and started driving again (don't think I'm officially allowed until Monday). It's a pain getting to Harlow with public transport from here and I couldn't not see her. If I didn't think I could do it I wouldn't have.
She lost 40g last night (they weigh her every night) but they think that was because she hadn't done a poo for 3 days and opened her bowels yesterday. We will see whether she puts on tonight.
Jodie got to give her her first kiss today which was lovely. I was allowed to hold her for a while. She's 37cm (14.5") long. Her head is 24cm (probably the size of an apple). The funny thing is her arms and legs look so long.
I'm feeling a bit more positive but still can't talk about her without crying! Still each day at a time.
Thinking of you all too.
Take care
Jo

I'm so glad to hear the update on Ellie. It sounds like she is doing well. That is great that the hospital is only 30 minutes away from your home. You can see her often!! She sounds like a real fighter. I will keep you and Ellie in my prayers.
Take care,

Wow you are all so lovely. Such lovely messages and dreams too!
Justine referred me to the BLISS website which is great. There are quite a few ladies (and some men) who have all had premature babies and some recent 26 weekers. A few of them are local to me too. It's nice to hear from other people that what we are going through is "normal".
Ellie is doing well. Her feeds were stopped again last week because of another distended belly and they were then reintroduced slowly. We just have to be patient but today she was put up to 6mls an hour which is the most we've ever been. Just waiting to see how her tummy responds. They have only been putting the feeds up a ml every 24 hours.
She's had two blood transfusions this week which again is something very common with premature babies. She's now up to 1.290g (2lb 8oz) which may seem small to most but she's seems much bigger to me. She's "beefed" out a little. I've put a couple of pictures on photobucket which we took on Thursday (when she was 1 month).
I'm ok just so tired. I know if I had her at home I would be up breastfeeding during the night so that is no different to me getting up and expressing but if I had her at home I wouldn't be travelling backwards and forwards to the hospital or having the emotional stress of everything!
She's doing well but still taking each day at a time. I hope the rest of you are all ok.
Take care and thank you for thinking of us.
Jo

It is so good to hear from you. Wow 2 lbs 8 ounces! She is gaining weight nicely. I just saw the photos and she is so cute and does look like she has filled out. I'm sure that you are going through a lot right now and I'm glad that you found another support group to help you. Ellie is definitely a fighter. I will keep Ellie in my prayers.
Take care,
Tammy
