difficult decision

Hi All Well I went to the clinic yesterday and I had a long chat with the Doctor. Basically, I have poor embryo quality due to PCOS also I have Endometriosis which is getting worse due to the drugs. The Endo is causing problems with cystitis and I have had two really painful periods. I have had 1 failled IVF and 1 failed IUI I'm due to have 2 more IUI treatments but have decided that following this we will call it a day as far as trying to have a child using my eggs. As you all know this was not easy but I think it is for the best as I want to try and be as fit as possible for the donor eggs. Luckily my clinic doesn't have a long waiting list for donor eggs so I may get a donor as early as March next year which is really good although I have to wait for the results of a blood scan first. I have started another cycle of IUI so I must try and stay positive, now that I have made the decision to go for a donor I actually feel a lot more relaxed. Thanks to all of you who have supported me through the last few months. I'm due to have my IUI sometime next week so prahaps I can join the NCB's?? love and hugs to all Aly x

Hi Aly, Sorry to hear your news, but glad that your gonna keep trying, I have a good feeling that you wont have to wait till March and that you will be a November +++++ PMA !! Good luck to you both, Now that you've made a decision and feel more relaxed that might help as your're less stressed !! I'm OK just waiting for my appointment with the consultant, to see when i can start the ivf rollercoaster again, oh deep joy looking forward to the injections again hahaha NOT !! Hopefully we wont be buddys again cos you'll be a ++tive on the other side helping me through it !! meant in the nicest possible way !! Aly I am sorry to hear your news, I know it must be hard but do try and stay positive, easier said than done, I know. Deciding to have a donor must make you feel that some of the pressure has be taken off of you and hopefully you will be able to relax a little. Being a healthy Aly is really important. Aly Good luck with your IUI this next week, I'll be thinking of you and tracking your progress Decidng to go the donor route, I now is not an easy descision, but I'm sure it's one you've both thought through very hard. As you know we're using donor sperm, and I am competely sure it is the right decision. Good luck, speak soon Lisa x x
