I will be on baby aspirin and I will take estrodiol tablets. They havent started me on either yet. Right now just menopur and follistim.

In a couple of days I will start cetritide. This will hold off ovulation so that all the follies can get big and mature. Then the trigger shot so that I ovulate for ER.

Wow aunty! you are right around the corner!! Im s happy for you to start.

This is only day 2 of stimms and Im not complaining, but I feel HUGE already!! Lets pray this one works!!

Love to all,
Jackie

Hi everyone!

I am back in town and still need to catch up on posts. THere is like 20 pages I need to read! DH and I are trying to decide if we move forward or not with another cycle. It would be an easier decision if insurance would pay...

Hope everyone had some fun over the holiday. I was in the middle of no where, Texas with inlaws who "don't beleive" in IVF. Needless to say I did not mention what DH and I had been up to. I had to keep my tears private (just found out about BPN before we got there). What is worse, my mother in law gave us twin beds to sleep in. SHe has a room with a king, but gave that to her sister.
 Needless to say, there was no cuddle time and I really needed it.

Anyway I am glad to be back home and just wanted to sign on and tell everyone I missed them and have appreciated all the kind thoughts.

Welcome to all the new faces! You have found a very supportive group of ladies.

Gotta run - tons of catching up to do.

Hi again! Now that I'm unpacked I got back on reread my post and realized my whining about the bed sounded a bit insensitive. To clarify the sister is single. Anyway, don't know why that is still bugging me. Maybe the hormones aren't out of my system. :?

Well - I'm off to read everyone's posts!

Tex its so good to see you im sorry you had a bad time away narrow minded people drive me bonkers really they do i always find people who don't agree with infertility treatment are always people who don't need it, people who say its against gods wishes and its unnatural are the worst i like to follow with ooo so you went into the bushes and popped out your babies then ...answered with confusion because my point is if you go to hospital for anything or wear glasses or go to the dentist don't the same standards apply to you also or is it just any treatment that you don't need that's "unnatural"???? ooo bugs me...LOL sorry Aunty rant and dont appologise your right about the bed that was a mean pointed thing for her to do and i would have been mad also im so sorry you got trapped in a no comfort zone just when you needed it most please know you never left my prayers sending you mental hugs

Hello ladies!

I post far less often than I would like, but the holidays have been rather busy. My sister is visiting with her boyfriend; they're 17 and 16 respectively. It's fun, but it gives me less "me" time to come here! ;)

Something is starting to bother me a little. I've been on the BCP since Dec 19th... and I'm still spotting big time. I need panty liners. It's not bleeding per se; AF stopped some 5 days after I started BCP. The spotting is very dark. I expected that my body would not react normally to me taking BCP on day 2 of AF... but have any of you guys kept spotting for a long time like that?

I booked an appointment with an acupuncturist next Friday. He specializes in in vitro, among other things; he was referred to me by a friend who is due in March (IVF too!). We'll see how it goes.

And on Wednesday... first IVF appointment and first Lupron shot! I,ve made calculations and everything is okay for the big payment (with my clinic, you must pay all the procedure on your Lupron appointment). That will make a hole in my savings, but ah... it's for such a lovely reason that I don't mind. ;) *keeps everything crossed and shivers nervousness away*

Tex: hey sweetie! Glad you're back! :D And no, you're not whining. I found it rather insensitive that your MIL did not give you a room that let you be a couple... well, a 2006 couple and not a la '50! ;) I would have needed cuddling desperately and it's really too bad that it was postponed for such a silly reason. And my, that attitude towards IVF! Come on! That's so insensitive too! Especially that she knows you're trying and have gone through such pain! Argh! I bet you must be delighted to be back in your own place. And about trying again, well.. whatever your decision is, you have our support of course. It's true that insurances can make that kind of decision so easier to make! What's your DH's opinion so far?

Jackie: you're funny! Whew, you've got quite a big energy level going on there! Viva hormones! Burn baby burn, whoohoo! And about my little friends, well... killed them yesterday; they should slowly fade away now... no other in sight, whew! ;)

ss I'm glad that your PMA is back in force! Go girl!

my2lnt Welcome! You'll like it here! Whew! So many people cycling in Dec-Jan!!!

Have a great evening guys!

evening ladies

just about to go to bed but thought i would catch up quickly...

charlie - sorry if i've asked before but whereabouts are you from??

beachbaby and My2LnT - a great big welcome to you two!!!!! and sorry to hear about your chem preg/BFN. but you've joined the right board on here as the motto is "new year, new start, new babies"!!!

aunty - you make me laugh!! not long to go for you now, i'm so excited!!! i know what you mean about IVF being sooooo "unnatural" and "not God's will" but I'd never thought about it like you did - when people go to the doctor or dentist, etc. its so true and so simple but its something i hadnt thougt of. can i just ask, what are the baby aspiring and/or the patches for?

jackieg - thanks for that. by the sounds of it i'm definitely glad you didnt have to have the BCP this month. its weird, isnt it, how different clinics have different methods. poor you for shouting at DH. i'm sure he'll forgive you - he'd better anyway, otherwise he'll have us to deal with!!

ss - the queen of PMA by the sounds of it!!! you go girl!! i'm very proud of you for being so strong and so positive. what an inspiration you are!! cant wait for you to start again.

tex - glad to have you back and sorry to hear they gave you such a hard time. gggrrr. you're in the right place now though! :D

sophie - how you doing? sorry cant help much on the BCP i'm afraid! :(

bec - how you doing with your twins honey???

jodic - sorry to hear you've got no support at your end. i know what you mean and felt like that too when i first joined this board. a couple of months later though and i feel like i've got best friends all around the world and dont need anybody here anymore (except DH and mom). you'll soon get to know us and hopefully aunty's board should help you out!!

That is so funny because I thought the same thing about this months AF. I was in my bathroom and I was thinking that this would be the last time that I have to bother with the pads and such...Funny to think that you thought the same thing. I was like oh well I will be putting you away for the next ten months!!! LOL.....

It's coming up quick for you. Isnt it great to think?

Jodic

Hi Jodic,

About cetritide... my DR gave it to me and if I need more I can order thru a clinic they use. Its very expensive!! $450 for the 3.0mg and $90 for the .25mg.

I hope I have enough so that I dont have to buy it. Good luck to you!!

Today is day 2 of stimming and Im already bloated!!
