I also know someone at work who has a 1 year old girl from their 3rd FET so it does work & is worth a go....Also ( I may be wrong as have been away from boards for a while) but I think Bel from OCBS is now pregnant after doing a FET.......Hope this gives you hope

Good luck
Sarah
xx

[Edited by SJ BROWN on 27-Oct-03 06:39]
Hi Kiran

Sorry to here that it didn't work but i do have some positive feed back. I have had two fet in the past two years first one i had a very early miscarage (within the first two weeks) and the second one didn't work. I am currently waiting to start hormone replacement therapy for my last attempt at fet. I have met someone locally who is now 7 months pg on her first attempt. So think positive. It does happen & good luck.

Helen

Hey Kiran,
We've written to each other before, but just thought I should add my two cents worth. Am pregnant following Fet (all of five weeks'ish!), so feel quite positive about it. We had natural FET, I ovulated naturally (eventually) and my doctor put two embies in three days later, so seemed all quite low impact really. I know some woemn have a drug assisted FET cycle, I talked to my doctor about this, she said it wa just a matter of taking Clomid to stimulate the Lh surge, then they go from there, so either way, is fairly low stress compared with the rest of the IVF world.
All the very best Kiran, lots and lots of PMA to you!
Belinda
Hi Kiran
I'm currently going through a natural fet we had a failed ivf in July and we managed to freeze 6.Its a lot less stress than ivf.
I had scans andbloods done until my lining was thick and I had some good size follices then on sat night I had a hcg injection which starts you ovulating and because they were 3 day old embryos when we froze them I will have them put back in on thursday dinnertime,I will get a call from clinic at 10am to let me know how the embryos are and how many they have had to defrost to get 2 because some dont make it through the defrosting stage.
Its a lot easier than ivf and if you do a natural fet its cheaper than ivf at our clinic its £600 for an natural fet.
Hope I have helped you let me know how it goes
Love Gemxx
Hi Kiran

I am the same as Gem, going through a natural cycle, however my clinic does it slightly different as they are waiting for me to naturally ovulate, no hcg injection. So I am doing home ovulation test, once I have a surge in my FSH I call the clinic and they book me in for the transfer 4 days later, hoping that 2 of my little embies survive. I'm at Barts and they charge £380.

Good luck, let us know how you get on.
Ambar

thanks guys, its really heart warming to hear success comes out of this ivf/fet treatments, congrats bel,

if only it did't cost so much.......although its good to know that FET is cheaper, alot cheaper than IVF/ICSI.

well i have my consultation booked for thursday so will see what happens, its good to know that FET is alot less stressful than ivf, also fingers crossed not so many drugs being pumped in

will keep you updated, let me know how you guys get on as well
and thanks for writing - really appreciated
