Hello all,
I am currently on a break from my school. It will start again on the 16th of Jan. Due to infertility treatments and my school I have not had a real vacation in a year. I am really itching to go somewhere sunny and warm. It is natural for we, Minnesotans to go thr' this phase at the begining of every winter. However, I am also very early in my pregnancy (8 weeks and 4 days) and a bit nervous about flying. Going any where sunny would mean 4-5 hours of flying and I don't know what to do.
We also have not told the news to most of our friends or relatives and I feel isolated...

I think Zita West recommends against flying in the first trimester and I decided not to fly until I had gone past 12 weeks. My acupuncturist preferred I wait til after 12 weeks as well. I think I was about 15 weeks by the time I travelled.
On the other hand, there are heaps of people who do fly and have no problems at all. Think of all the air hostesses who fly when they are pregnant.
I'll be honest though, the way I looked at it, I had tried for a long time to get pregnant and I wasn't going to take any chances at all.
what about driving somewhere nice even if its not warm, maybe somewhere where you could really pamper yourselves?
Thanks for the reply.
Part of my problem is- I can't take time off whenever I want to due to my school schedule. But it makes sense to just wait till later, just to be safe.
