Happy New Year Everyone. I hope 2007 fulfills lots of hopes and dreams for us all!

Angellica- I am so sorry for what you are going through. I will say a prayer for you and your little fighter. If you want more information on what has happend it is called vanishing twin syndrom. A single twin can cease to stop progressing all the way up to 12 weeks, but the remaining twin progresses with no effects.

cmoscar- that sounds like a scary situation but I am glad all is well. Hopefully your OB will be able to give you an idea of what the pain could be. I frequently get pains on one side or the other but like you write it off as ligament pain.

Hope everyone else is doing well and enjoying the New Year!

Hello all

Thanks for your kind words of support and ecouragement and your attrempts at invoking PMA.....

I do feel a little brighter today although still feel a little drained and poorly, I am sure that will pass, I bought one of those prenatal baby monitors yesterday as I was convinced something bad would happen to our healthy baby, they dont recommend you use them till 20 wks so it was a long shot but hey it is so loud!! It has put my mind at rest at least as I am sooooo very scared at the moment...

I hope you and your familys are all doing well....

I will eventually get back to personals in time but rest assured I am thinking of each and every one of you...

Love & Light

Happy 2007 Girls....

Hope your all doing well....

Angellica- I'm so very sorry to hear that you've lost one of your twins, however you need to stay strong for your other little baby inside of you. If anyone needs you right now that baby does.... please feel free to come here and grip any time you want to (that's what we're here for)... Also know that you'll be in my thoughts and prayers through all of this.

Racheal- sorry to hear you had to spend a few days in the hospital... however I'm happy to hear that it doesn't sound like anything to serious. I hope that your OB/GYN can figure out what is causing you this pain and help you... please keep us posted.

As for us... we're doing great (except I'm fighting off another cold). I have been so stuffy it's been crazy. Well I'm also counting down the days until our next scan.... only 9 more days!

Hope you all have a great day!

Happy New Year Everyone!

I hope everyone had a great holiday. I spent yesterday in my PJ's on the couch watching TV. It was great.

Tasha - I am glad to hear that you are doing well. Sorry about the cold but hopefully it will go away soon.

Angellica - You are in my daily prayers and I hope everything will be fine. I had a vanishing twin early on in my pregnancy and my other little one is doing great so far (knock on wood) so please have faith that everything will be ok. And don't forget we are here for you.

Nicola - I am glad that you are doing well. I also keep thinking that next year at this time I will be a mom. I still have problems believing it sometimes.

Coleen, Rachel, Ellie, Cowgirl - I hope you are all doing well. Let us know of any updates.

As for me, I am doing fine. I do not have any appointments until late January and my Level 2 ultrasound is not scheduled until February. I think I will go crazy until then but I am doing my best just to take it one day at a time. I still worry all the time that something is going to go wrong or that there is something wrong with the baby but I just try to have faith that it will all be ok. Is it normal to still worry even after you hit your 12 weeks?

The good news is that I have been off of my progesterone suppositories for a week now and I have had no bleeding and my stomach has felt a little better so I am very happy about that.

All my thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Hello gals!

I'm glad so many of you are doing well. Racheal...how are you feeling? Has the pain gone away? That must have been scary. I'm glad everything checked out okay.

Nance--I'm soooo glad you haven't had to deal with the dreaded spotting. I'm with you about worrying. I thought I'd relax after the 12 week mark,....but no such luck. ahhh....I think we have a lifetime of worrying about our children ahead of us!

Thook--I've been stuffy for weeks now...I've read that sometime during pregnancy, you have a stuffy nose. Could that be your case? If not, keep drinking OJ....it's good for baby and you!

Angelica--I'm glad to hear you're in a better mood today. I'm sending hugs and prayers your way. XXXXXXXX

Nicola--It's so funny, but sometimes I do have to remind myself that I'm going to be a mom soon. I don't think the realization has fully hit me yet! I'm sure as my stomach gets bigger, it will sink in!

How's everyone else doing? I've kind of lost track of some of you! Keep us posted....

As for me, I had my first OB appt. today. As expected, it wasn't up to my "standards" that I've been used to at my RE's office. go figure. But, my doctor was great. He told me that my spotting was probably due to two things--going off the projestrone suppositories AND the fact that I had that slight placenta separation a few weeks ago. He said this brown spotting was probably old blood from that. While that sounds bad, he said it wasn't at all. I guess it's pretty common to have slight separation and that many people don't even know that they have it. The only reason I knew was because I was getting all those wonderful ultrasounds at the RE's office! :) Anyway, he says I'm totally normal and to not worry about anything....easier said than done, right? ha ha! Good news is that my spotting is pretty much done---YEAH! And, I don't feel sicky today. Double YEAH! I just wish I could have gotten some photos of my babies today. I have to wait a few more weeks for that.

On another note, I started searching for some daycare options today. While I'd LOVE to stay at home all day with my little ones, I will have to work part time. I'm going to teach 1/2 day next year so I can keep my super insurance. My hubby is self-employed and it is SOOOO expensive to get insurance that way. Trying to find part time daycare for twins???? HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!! This should be interesting.....

Well, I'm off to clean my filthy house before taking a nap.

Take Care!

Kim- Yeah I have also heard that pregnant ladies get stuffy noses... mine seems a little better today which is good. I'm also wondering if mine could be my allergies (I have 2 cats at home). Well as long as I can sleep through most of the night I'll be ok. Glad to hear that your appointment today went well... I know you get spoiled going to the RE all the time that when it's time to go to the OB/GYN it's kind of disappointing (no pictures all the time).

Well hope your all having a great day....

I hope you ladies don't mind me butting in. I had a question... how far along were you when you heard your baby's heartbeat for the first time? I'm supposed to go for my 1st u/s in 10 days (I'll be about 6 wks I think). I'm really afraid that it could possibly be too early and I won't be able to hear it and I'll freak out...

Jovigal, welcome to the other side :-) Our clinic does not do scans till 7 weeks cause for sure by the 7th week you should see a HB. But at week six it is hit or miss. Sometimes they will and sometimes they will not, but there are several things they can look at to determine how viable your pregnancy is. :-) Maybe you will be one of the lucky ones and you will see the HB. But I will tell you this from talking to so many people, the worring does not stop for quite sometime no matter what you see. Unfortunately that seems to be inevitable. I am 16 weeks and still worry, not as much as I used to but still do. Seems like even people that get pregnant naturally worry also, but those of us that took so much to get pregnant seem to worry even more. I know that may be a bit generalized but seems to be the norm more than the exception.

Good luck and please feel free to ask questions. We all learn from each other here. :-)

Girls,

Here is just a quick note! I went to the OB yesterday and they did more ultrasounds and have decided that the pains I am still having are due to all the scar tissue from the endometriosis and my previous c-sections. My OB believes it will slowly stop over then next two months. She gave me some pain pills to help me sleep through the night, but I am going to have to suffer through the day since all pain meds make me very sleepy. On a happier note, the baby is doing great and they have made an educated guess as to what it is. My husband was floored and asked them to tell him twice so I knew before he blerted it out.

We are having a little girl. She is still measuring about 4 days big and the nuchal results came back with little to no chance the baby as downs. So we are now going to prepare for our first little girl.

Hope everyone is well, I have to get back to work. I will post again later.

Good Morning Girls....

Jovigirl- Just wanted to let you know that I had my first scan at 6 weeks 1 day and I saw a heartbeat.... I do know however that it is hit or miss that early, but you should be able to see something. Good luck.... keep us posted.

Racheal- glad to hear that your OB doesn't think it is anything serious... that must have made you happy. Also is so great to hear your having a baby girl... I also think I'm having a girl, but DH is in denial!

Hope all of you girls have a great day and I'll post more later!

hi there everyone- hope that we are all well....

Racheal- a girl, you were right then... that's cool... will you know what to do with a girl after 2 boys/? hope that the pain subsides VERY soon for you. Have you taken some time off the room, take a little break.. have you started to paint?? I know that with my last i did a mural, jungle theme, and after a few days of painting i had bad pain and also ended up getting a vericose vein in the girly parts.. so take it easy and go slow

tasha- hope that you are feeling better, i've had a sinus thing for a few days... i think that this weather is to blame... where is our snow, sorry if you do not like the snow, i love it!!

cowgirl- hope that you too are doing well and feeling better all the time.. when are your next appointments??

jovigal- welcome over. I had my scan at 6w1d and we did see the heartbeat.. i'm sure that if you do not see it this scan you can the next scan...try not to worry, as 6w's some see it and some don't!! take care

nance- i think that we always worry, and i think that the i do not worry as much, as long as i can feel the baby move.. are you feeling any of the movements?? it's reasuring to fell the kicks and jabs.. I'm glad that you are feeling good and no spots!!!

kim- glad that you are "normal" it's weird to have so much treatment, then just be a "normal" patient .. glad the spotting is gone for the most part, that has to be a relief

angellica- we are still praying for you and hope that you are doing better every day!!

nicola- it's amazing to think that next year at this time our lives will be so different!! it's great!!

as for us we are ok... still getting headaches every few days and still checking the BP a couple times a day. BP is mostly still good, with just a few spikes now and then. But we did take the glucose test and there is a problem... so now i need to go back for a 3 hour glucose tollerance test and then see what those results are... I think that i'm going to have everything that i could get during pregnancy... not the good things, but the problems... What's next?? We do have our level II on the 19th, and my DH still wants to find out, and i don't...we'll see if i give in or not... I know that i sound like i'm complaining, i shouldn't be, but i was just hoping for a "normal" pregnancy... sorry guys..

i hope that everyone is well.. and taking care of the wee little ones growing inside our tummies!!

Hey gals...

Colleen--glad to hear your BP is managing to stay under control. However, I'm sorry to hear about the glucose. I haven't had that done yet...what does it mean? Does it mean gestational diabetes? I've heard of it, but I reall don't know what the implications are. As for not having a "normal" pregnancy, don't worry about it. I'm not sure any of us IVF gals will ever be "normal".

T-hook: Glad you got your ticker fixed! I wondered if I had missed something...ha ha!

Racheal--Congrats on the little girl! You were right...your little princess will have two big brothers looking over her all the time. The poor thing will probably never get a date when she's in high school, as long as they have anything to say about it! I'm glad that your pain is not too serious. Did you have endometriosis pretty bad? I've had it for a long time, so I'm wondering if this is common among endo patients or not. Take it easy!

Jovigal--Congrats! I did manage to see a heartbeat at my 6 week scan; however, I didn't see my other baby then! So, lots of things may not show that first time...try not to worry about it. However, like Cowgirl said....we manage to worry about everything! As for hearing the heartbeats, I think I was close to 9 or 10 weeks when we heard them. Good luck at your scan. I'm sure it will go great.

How's everyone else!?
