Aunty, I know you will be able to answer this for me. As you know I started lupron yesterday and I have two more BCP to take and AF should be coming,. How long is it before the RE will start to incorporate the follistim or the “Stimming” drugs? Just want to change my ticker but not sure what event to change it to? Any info would be nice.

Thanks again Aunty don’t know what I would do without you!!!!

Fed aww your so sweet....well i think the norm as far as i know is Lupron for 14 days to down reg usually you will have bloods and a scan to confirm surpression do you have a date booked for either of those?? that might give you some indication but i would say around the 18th Jan you should have this done and that night they should tell you to start the Stmms you could do your ticker to 18th Jan poss stimms....how exciting is that.... i was on Follistim for my first cycle its not bad at all and i didnt get any OHSS with it how much do they have you taking i think i was on 225 a day

Charity i am so so sorry this is the worst thing i hate this that so many NO too many couples have to lay the plans aside for a family purely down to financial reasons it just wrong why cant we have a magic benefactor

anyone out there reading this, this wonderful woman needs some help

I will pray you get a miracle either a gift of financial help or a trial you fit into something to help you achieve your dream of a so much deserved family

in my thoughts and prayers love Aunty

Holy freak, you guys... i go work for a few hours (maybe 4) and 4 pages have gone by!!!!

EMS: congrats on stims starting Monday... on your way!

Ssalgado: cool you got your meds... always has been my favorite part! So exciting to see all the meds, needles, syringes, etc (i think IVF has rotted my brain )

Emma: Welcome back to the thread. 20 frosties, that is fantastic!

Aunty; 14 antrals is fab! woohoo on the bw... keep us posted on nurse protocol mtg... is that when you get schedule? btw, like the new ticker!!

Ange: I missed it, you are doing pgd this time? Did you do it last time, i don't remember. We did it first cycle and all were complex abnl. Now that we have 12 ferts, considering doing it again so that we transfer the best ones possible. Thinking of asking RE tomorrow...

PMApsy: what do you do in your 5 jobs...do tell!

Shantala: fab job on list...whenever you can post (morning or night) is find w/me.

As for all you 1st timers starting stims... YOU GO GIRLS!!! I am very excited for all of you. I remember it being nervewracking...but fun. I like having dh do injections when he is around... it helps him to feel like he is a part of it... and helps him feel useful during a process in which he is pretty helpless.

As for me, waiting for evil AF (well maybe not so evil this time...just off BCP, so i anticipate she will be cooperating :D ). Baseline US tomorrow am. Yipee! Find, though, that i am not really expecting this one to work. I think i am becoming a bit jaded. Don't get me wrong. Still HOPING that it works, just no longer EXPECT it. Random thoughts about what i would (will) do when another BFN (i.e., should i switch clinics, how many more fresh am i willing to do, etc). Don't mean to be a downer... just know you "repeat customers" (or i think aunty called us all "old ladies"? heeheehee) may be able to relate to this.. and no one in my "real" life could. This is not about PMA... my chin is firmly UP! Just no longer feeling so idealistic... anyone relate????

Once more request... anyone w/mysp@ce pages, etc, will you post your links again? (including you, please, bec... forgot to write it down, and now pages have gone by!!!). Would be great to see what everyone looks like! (my link is in my sig)

Sassy i am with you 100% ... i have these tuesday nights with two of my friends (neither has kids or wants them)its a nice time chat and catch up recently we talked about IVF they know about it and i was saying the same thing you just said about not expecting it to work anymore kind of trying to look past it all and see a life beyond it and they ranted on about being negative and all that i tried to explain the same thing its not that im not full of PMA and hope and dreams or that i dont want this with all my heart but i think you get to a point where you have to be realistic to emotionaly survive this whole thing

oh and the term was "old timers"...LOL i think im the only old lady on here

Aunty: thank you, thank you, thank you. you have no idea what a relief it is for me to have someone get this. When i have mentioned this before (mostly on the forums), people keep telling me i just need to be stay positive. I would have said the same things until after my #2 IVF went bad. My "real world' friends say "of course this will work'. But they don't actually know that, but they love me enought to WANT that for me. The truth is, although i firmly believe in a loving God, I don't believe that God OWES me a child. There is no guarantee that i will have a child, even if i want one really badly! I have found that by coming to terms with what my life will be like if i don't have children... it has taken much of the pressure off my shoulders. We will continue until i can't take anymore and until we are at peace that for us at least, we have left nothing on the table... then we will have a fantastic life the two of us  .

as for your list... i am not doing green tea or ASA, o/w i am on the same... i am not sure what the raspberry tea is about...will be curious to hear what others say.

as for your pictures... you are darling! don't tell me those are natural curls...i will keel over from jealousy (yep, my hair is as straight as a board!)

Hey Aunty as to your question on dosages I have no idea about anything. All my RE's office said was start lupron on January 4th and call on cycle day one of next period to set up day 2 blood and ultrasound. When the results come in they will call with results and medication changes. So they are just telling me what to do as we get to that point. I think when I call when I get my period I am going to ask for a timeline of everything. That so much for you help. I am going to change my ticker to Nurse Aunty's approximate date!

Sorry to barge in, but saw your question on red raspberry leaf tea. It's recommended in the book the "Infertility Cure" by Randine Lewis (chinese medicine book.) It's supposed to be a uterine tonic to help prepare your lining. I ended up with a lining of 18mm (you might recall, you helped me Aunty when I was freaking out over the lining being too thick!)

Anyway, I drank 1-2 cups of the stuff every day pre-stim all the way through ER. I stopped at ER because I read some conflicting reports that it may actually cause some uterine contractions and didn't want anything interfering w/ ET. My problem has been getting the embies to stick too - 11 embies transferred in my first two cycles with 1 implantation (later m/c.) This cycle, I transferred 3 embies (all I had) and 1 took. I have absolutely no idea if it had anything to do w/ the tea, since I also did acupuncture pre/post transfer for the first time and also had my stim's reduced this cycle to avoid too high E-2 levels. It could have been any of these - or just dumb luck.

But, just wanted to reply.....and again, hope you don't mind me barging in on your thread.

I wish you much success with your cycle!

PMApsy, I am not sure why we start the stimms so early, probably because I have been on BCPs for over a month and a half... long time, I know.

I wanted to share my MySpace page with everyone
