I am hoping also this being the patter of tiny feet!!

I am thinking abotu taking time off work, and thinking i might tell everyone i am doing IVF, i fed up with lies and pretending i am at the dentist, doctors, whatever I think of!!!

I am going to take the 2ww off and the week before, so about 3 wks off, how do i pretend i am doing something else huh??

What do u guys think??

The half of me is worried about me being the subject of gossip!!!

Could do, but already have hol booked in summer and Oct!! dont think i would have that much hol to take!!!

Really really hope that this year will bring you everything that you want.

Why not say that you have some woman's issues and you need a minor op. Usually shuts up all the blokes. Or else say that one of your family is unwell and you want to spend time with them. If anyone asks just say that you don't want to talk about it.

They gossip anyway. I have had so many comments about being pregnant as have not really drink since my 1st failed cycle last May. I usually don't even bother to comment anymore. Don't let this stress you as you need to focus on you.

Might even be your cycle bud. That would be cool. Seeing our consultant for ivf no.2 follow up on Wednesday. He usually requires a wait of 3 months to get the drugs out the system so may be I'll be able to cycle Feb/March. Hoping that I'll be on for 3rd time lucky!

Hi Guys, Nicki,

Just popped in to check on how all my old buddies are going and am thrilled to see that you hae decided to take the leap over to IVF. I am living proof that it can happen on the first go.

For those who don't know me, I cycled with Nicki for 3 IUI's last year, all heartbreakingly unsuccessful but after my first IVF, I am now 14 weeks pregnant with twins!

I think its important to give the IUI's a shot but you must also be realistic and know when to call it a day and bring in the big guns!

All the very best for your coming cycle.....I hope its the one for you!

Your own thread....and you deserve it for the love n support you give on here. Hope you are ok and feeling positive . Wishing you the best luck in the world. As for what you tell people, only you can do what is best for you hun! I lied at the very beginning and got more stressed about the gossip so I have just been honest now with them that need an explanation - makes things easier especially now I am at the hospital every morning til about 11am!! thats the thing, i have to travel to my clinic its not in the same town not even in the same county, takes 1 hr to drive it, and then 1 hour to drive back, so even if i have a 9am appointment, i'm not back to work til 11am at the earliest. It's alright getting away with it, if ur clinic is down the rd, and you can do it before 9am....

My boss knows, about it, but its all the other i worry about.... I am speaking to my boss 2moro....I'll let ya know what happens

i posted on the other thread to say i'm in caversham...so cool that you have been so close!! royal berks doesnt do ivf so have to go to oxford. where are you now??

just wanted to say that most people around me at work know about the ivf now although it wasnt my intention to let anyone know except my boss. but its a lot of team work and people get concerned when i'm not there so i figured i would tell them. i know what you mean about the gossip but then to be honest, who cares?? we've got enough on our plates to worry about their tittle tattle!! if they're decent enough to worry about then they wont gossip!!! anyway, thats just my opinion...let us know what you decide and the best of luck with it!!!

Used to live in Wokingham and Lower Earley, I miss it sometimes, I hear much has changed....

Nicki Hunny,

I just popped in to wish you all the luck in the world in your cycle and i will be praying for you.
I hope this is the one and you get a strong BFP followed by a healthy pregnancy.

We have given up for now, we may go for one more in the summer, if we can afford it, if not we will start adoption procedures when we get back to England next Jan.

It's hard getting use to the idea of not having children of your own and i pray you never have to do that.
