Hi Guys.
Thought I'd just say hello and congrats to all of you for being here.
I am starting to feel brave enough to venture over here, I am 9 weeks today. Had my first appointment with the midwife today, talked a lot about the 12 week scan and NT scan for Downs. Husband and I have decided that we are not going to have this as if the risk factor came back high I would not have any further testing and would just worry. So we are ust having a 12 week scan to see the baby as haven't seen it since 6 weeks. I've been pretty emotional about all this and everything else really!
Well I will try and catch up with you all o this thread and hope that you are all doing well.
Take care

Casy- Welcome to this side of the boards.... We're kind of you and your DH. We have elected to have the blood test, but that's about it. It took me this long to get this baby and I don't want to do anything that could harm my pregnancy at all... however, it's a tough decision to make.

Can't wait to hear about your 12 week scan. Good luck...

Hi all its been a while since i have been able to check in but now the busy season is over i should get more oppotunities.
Tonia i am so pleased to see you over here and that your numbers are looking good. Congratulations.
Casey welcome to being over. I can understand how you feel about the tests. I had PGD testing so i don't have to make this descision but i can imagine how hard it is.
Angellica i am so sorry to hear abou the flood in your shop i hope you have managed to get it sorted and that you are feeling ok.
Colleen i hate taking the decorations down the house seems really empty. That test sounds yucky i am surprised you didnt throw up. Hope the results come back ok.
As for me i am doing well. I feel icky every so often and today i have no energy it is now midday and i am still in my pj's. I have my next scan on 22nd Jan i am so excited about this and we get to have it on DVD so we can show everyone. Once we have this scan i can tell everyone. I have BW tomorrow to check my thyroid levels are ok because i have an overactive one but i have been feeling ok so not to concerned.I also have test for toxoplasmosis. My doc will release me when i have my scan so upset about that because i would love to stay with him but financially we can't.
Sometimes when i am in bed and lying on my side it hurts by my ovaries when i cough, does any one else get this? I am going to talk to my doc about it on next visit but just curious.
To any one i haven't mentioned i hope you are all well.
Take care

hi guys... hope that all is well... not a whole lot of time to write to everyone, but just a quick update...

as for us, i got my results from my glucose test back, and it looked rather good... there was only one that was 2 points higher then they like to see, but it looked good... so as for now, we are NOT gestational diabetic!! i will get tested again at the 28 week point to make sure... i feel like a load has been lifted!! so now just working on the BP thing.

Casy P- Welcome to the other side :-) Good luck on you 12 week scan I am sure you will be amazed at your little one! :-)

Jordan22- those are great beta numbers and congrats on the doubling! Good Luck and I pray things keep progressing well for you!

Ellie- I hope you thyroid check goes okay. And yes I have had those pains you describe. At first they told me it was because my ovaries were still so big and would flip around causing that pain, then about 7 weeks it stopped. Now I have similar pains and they attribute to ligament streching. :-) I am sure discussing with the doc is good.

Thook- glad everything is going well for you. I will be anxiously awaiting your scan results. I know you have told me before but I can't remember. Are you going to find out the sex? I wish you the best of luck and hope you get what you want! :-)

Colleen - glad you glucose test went well! I will worry about that also, my sister developed the maternal diabetes when she was PG later in life, but I will do the 1 hour test at 24 weeks. Take care of the BP thing though, it can sneek up on you!

Nictor you are moving right along! :-) That magical 12 week marker is right around the corner for you :-) BTW when are you going to get a ticker ;-) everyone moves along so fast here it helps keep up with everyone :-)

Angellica how are you doing?

Take care everyone!

Cowgirl- yes we're going to find out the sex of the baby... that is if the baby cooperates tomorrow night. I'll let you all know how our scan went first thing Thursday morning. I'm so excited....

Buckeye- that game was so sad last night.... sorry you had to watch that in person. I thought for sure OSU would have won! Troy Smith just didn't seem like he showed up for the game.... :(

Yaaaawwwnnn,

Hello everyone. I'm back from hell. Let's just say that I really enjoyed Arizona until about 5 minutes into the freakin' game last night. Ugh. It was a disaster. Florida played great. I have to give them credit. We, unfortunately, forgot that we were playing football. SIgh.....

My hubby and I got back a few hours ago and I have tons of catching up to do before I head off to work tomorrow. I just wanted to drop in and say "hi"! I'll have to do personals later. Sorry!

I'm glad to hear that things are going well for you gals! That's always nice to hear. Nothing new on my end as far as baby news. I have a checkup with the "head nurse" (whatever that means) at my OB's office on Monday, and then I see my OB the following week. I feel like I haven't had an U/S in ages! I hope that Frik and Frak are doing okay in there...

Hope all your appts. this week go well! I'll try to get back in the swing of things tomorrow.

Hello

I am finally feeling brave enough to venture over here. I am 11w 2d pg after my 8th ivf. Still feeling a bit unsure of things, its amazing how much knowledge you find you have about ivf but pregnancy is a complete unknown.

I had my hb scan at 7 weeks and nothing since. I have my 12 week scan next Thursday and my first midwife appointment on the 1st Feb. Some days I feel more pregnant than others but I assume this is 'normal'!!
