Dear Everyone

I've decided to take a bit of time out from the boards as I feel I am becoming a bit obsessive about the whole IVF process and I can't stop dwelling on it! I'm not being productive at work and I'm losing sleep at night! I'll probably be back soon though as I really do appreciate your support and also all the information that floats around here!

Just wanted to say good luck to everyone at their various stages, especially Tanya with your transfer coming up soon. I look forward to catching up with all your news when I get back (hopefully in a better frame of mind) Fee

Rach - ooh today is the day! I hope you don't have many side effects and hope you breeze through. Good luck you are finally on your way

Aunty - glad you haven't got a headache today, the tiredness is horrible, I feel like a zombie I have to drag myself out of bed most mornings but at the moment my alarm is on snooze for about an hour before I can even open my eyes but like you say will be worth it in the end!!

Bec - good luck with the scan will be thinking of you

Sophie - completely know where you are coming from this whole thing is one gigantic rollercoaseter and everybody is different, it's about finding out ways to cope that suit you as an individual. There is nothing wrong with dreaming about maternity etc, we've all done it. My brother is getting married in August and by accident I came across a fab outfit that I fell in love with, you know the one where you try it on and it fits in all the right places. Anyway I could not bring myself to buy it JUST in case I have a bump by then and it wouldn't fit me! Well that is what I'm praying for! It is hard to be positive all the time but you have to try or that is what I tell myself anyway!!

Mom-hope your arm is better soon. Have you thought about trying alternative therapies to help with depression, I have been having reflexology for over a year now and it has really helped me. Just a thought!

Beccy - that's great about your appointment it will be here before you know it!

have a good day all

I will admit that I have been unbalanced lately but OMG today I had a complete meltdown!

My husband and I were folding some brochures for an event I am doing on Friday, and I asked him to help me fold another pile and he looked at me and said no, but he was just joking and I lost it. I just started to cry and I could not help myself. My husband thought I was pretending and he started to laugh, and that made it even worse.

I was so embarassed that I could not control myself that I had to leave the room. All the while, I was having the worse hot flash. What a mess!

I am the type of person who rarely cries and I would say that my husband has seen me cry maybe 3 times this last year (I like to cry by myself, lol). But I swear the three times I have cried, it has been the ugly face cry and not the pretty tear rolling down my face.

What do you do? Lol.

Hi all

Hope you are all doing ok. I am so sorry I am mega busy at work and can't stop long.

Aunty - just so you can update your fabulous list, my follie count scans are 15th, 17th & 19th Jan with EC 22nd and ET 24th if all goes well.

Becks - so glad you have your appointment! How exciting! I am happy you're not giving up yet...(HUGS)

Vickie - hope you're doing ok on your stims. Your follie count was fab! Hopefully you'll get lots of nice eggies from them. I reckon 8-10 is a good number. As you know last time I was so disappointed with only 2 but am hoping for more this time as they've upped my dose. Fingers crossed.

Macca - Thinking of you honey and hoping your stimming goes well - GROW FOLLIES GROW!!!

Speak soon

Hi Aunty, I am not feeling too bad at the moment. I do feel bloated and a bit tired but apart from that I'm ok. Sorry the meds are making you feel out of sorts and hope you feel better soon. :D

Hi Ladies

I can't believe how much I have missed in a couple of days!
Ange - I agree - this thread is going to be manic when we are all on our 2ww! Hope you have a great break with DH

Haylie - I think it was you that said you feel like a zombie - I'm feeling so tired too! Headaches seem to have gone. AF has arrived and is being a complete witch - i've spent the morning with a hot water bottle tucked under my jumper!

Jackie - i'm sorry to read about your dog - it is devasting to lose a member of the family!

Aunty - that's really exciting to get things moving quicker! We will be very close now - our 2ww will definitely overlap!

Silva, Arizonakiwi and kislany - welcome to the thread - everyone is so lovely here!

Amy - thinking about you and your two frosties!

Raintree - everyone is right its quality not quantity - it does only take 1! Keeping evreything crossed for you!

Jodic - I'm sure Aunty is right and everything will be ok! They seemed to small to collapse to me? Thinking about you LOL.

Denise - don't be so hard on yourself! You've gotta love the hormones!

My - 13 eggs - wow congratulations - go swimmeres go!

Becky- I'm glad your NHS cylce has come up and you now have dates - how long did you have to wait. We have been told 2 / 3 year waiting list.
I'm glad you are enjoying your new job!

Sophie - thanks for all the info on do's and dont's - it has helped put my mind at rest.

Tanya- Good luck with FET - sending lots of sticky baby dust your way.

Becleo - can't wait to hear how your US went

HELP - As i get further on in my journey my mind is starting to think more and more about the EC. I know it is done under sedation - but Does it hurt?!

Im sorry if I have missed anyone!

Love to you all

Hi Charlie

I was like you and really really worried about the EC my first time around. Everyone on here was really supportive and told me not to worry. Mine was done under sedation. The day of EC I was a bag of nerves but once I got to threatre they told me to hop up on the trolley and the Anaesthetist took my hand and said "there's a nice big vodka and tonic coming your way". I felt really sleepy and just fell asleep and slept through the whole thing. I was aware of people's voices but didn't feel a thing.

I promise it isn't as bad as you are imagining. Some people have it done under general but I think having it done under sedation is much better, the recovery time is so much quicker. I was up and out a couple of hours later.

Good luck.

Charlie i was like a bowl of jelly i was so nervous about my EC i was shaking for my first cycle we did sedation i was out cold i didnt even hear anyone for my second i was put under (different Dr) same thing man i loved the drugs they gave me i had a pre op tonic and i vaguely remember telling everyone i loved them.(really was like a time warp drug sent me back to the 60's peace out dude)..LOL then i was asleep apparently when i woke up i was trying to leave...im a runner.... and i have to say the drugs stayed in me for the whole day so i didnt feel anything at all my clinic also give you a saline bag heated up to take home so that was nice and it is uncomfortable the next day but not as bad as period pain but you start to concentrate so much on how your little ones are doing it passes quickly...you really will be fine

Thx everyone for the well wishes for my appointment next week and praises on the list!!

as you may have all seen - i messed up on the general board...i thought i pressed reply to amc's good luck thread and instead must have pressed new topic and suddenly this new thread appeared saying "Good Luck" and my message was on there!! how embarrassing!!  and i didnt want aunty thinking i stepped on her toes after she opened such a fabulous thread! sorry! so, i changed it to ignore and deleted the post!

Ange - hope you’re recharging and refocusing as planned whilst you’re out in town; sorry to hear about your rash…hope it’s a bit better!!

Angie – hope AF shows soon!!!

Silvacharm – well done for doing it yourself!! you brave girl!!

Tans – the best of luck with your transfer tom!!! your babies are coming home!!

Haylie – good luck with app on mon and thanks for explaining; I so know what you mean about the clothes thing! i saw these lovely trousers the other day but they didnt have my size, only the next size up. and although they fitted they were just that touch too big and were hanging a bit funny. so i thought well maybe i'll grow a bump into them and get them anyway?? well, i didnt but it did cross my mind!!

Lara – yes, getting excited, you made me laugh about the sleep first maybe before cleaning…glad I’m not the only one that does that! Well done for starting downregging!!

Raintree – well done on your EC, I know 6 must be disappointing but it only takes 1!!

Aunty – how you doing?? Your post made me laugh about the ocd! i can relate!! so sorry to hear that the meds aren’t agreeing with you and that you’re tired…you wait till you get that BFP with twins!!

Welsh – so glad you’re liking your job; god, that app came through quickly…and its so close!! its so exciting! :D

Sophie – to clarify: when my dh had to give his sperm sample so that it could be frozen, the dr invited me into “the room” with my dh and dh had a big smile on his face….oh no!!! lol. I would have been too embarrassed knowing that the DRs know what we’re up to!! Lol. Sorry to hear about your IBS crisis! hope you're better! I know what you mean about thinking things. On the one hand I want to stay positive (you know the whole mind being linked to your body) but on the other hand I don’t want to jinx anything (and be more disappointed)!! thanks for the summary on bed rest after ET, it was really useful. its definitely something i'll ask on tuesday!

Meg – any news on AF yet?? how many days are you late now??

Fed – glad AF arrived, good luck with your US and bloods today…how are the pains??

Arizona – its great to hear you have your dates!! Sounds like your dh is so lovely and you had a nice meal…how romantic!!

Tc – how you doing??

Mom – so sorry to hear about your accident!! Mominwaiting – glad to hear you can get started!! its so exciting!

Fiona – good on you for taking a mental break from it all and sorry you’re having a bit of a bad time with it all…we’ll all be here when you get back!!

Ange- so sorry about your rash hun.. hopefully you feel better, i got a bad rash what they call a "pregnancy rash" when i was 8 months those last week of my pregnancy were hell with this rash and they couldn't do much because i so advanced on my pregnancy as well that this "rash" will go immediately after the birth, and it did but those weeks oh boy was War!!! they end it up giving me sone cream very low on steriods because my arm were swolling of from the rash , the Aveeno stuff didn't work for me it was more irratating that helpful some people get thisreaction to aveeno product and i am a very, very allergic person i should walk in a plastic bubble because every element cause me allergy.. so good luck i know the feeling...

Pmapsy- Good info about do's and don't , it is true about women that gets pregnant naturally and they don't find out till a month after or so.. but we just need to be careful that's all!!

Raintree and My2- How u guys r feeling and when is the transfer anyword?

Kislany- Welcome to our "SPOT"

Bec- where are u??? i am waiting... well it seems that fianlly we are getting a taste of winter ...brrrr.. very cold.. temp over here deep into the single digits with temp lower due to the wind factor. But good News.. Snow, Snow, Snow is coming our way Sunday night to Monday with a few inches for accumulation..:)) so you can shovel...

I am feeling with some cramps like my period is coming but i am on BCP and starting Lupron on Wed yoohooo!!! but symptoms are weird i don't remember having this last cycle also i have been taking a natural herb due to contipation so i don't know if that will be may be the cause but it really feels like period cramps, what will happen if i bleed before start the lupron ?? any of you on this situation before?? i will call my Dr i am not worry or too worry but concern on what could happen...

Good Day!! we are freezing here in MA...
